Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this accommodation. €200 deposit on arrival (in fairness it is listed in the t+c's) but a huge amount of money to pay. This next charge absolutely horrified me.... €2 for a bath towel! We had to pay for a towel. There were 4 hand towels in the bathroom, no floor towel for after your shower. These were to do us for 6 days.... we booked self catering. So there was no kettle or toaster and if you wanted them you had to rent them! No WiFi, again if you wanted it, you had to pay for it! TV with no English stations. When I asked reception about it, the girl just shrugged! The airconditioning was great and surprise you didn't have to pay for that. There were repairs being done externally and we woke to cargo hammers being used at 8.30am every morning. The washing machine facility was "out of order" for the 6 days we were there. The lobby toilet was "out of order" with no hand soap or toilet paper. It was like that for days. All these issues with the accommodation made our holiday a little disappointing. I know now why it was so cheap when I booked it. My bad though, I should have read more reviews than I did.
Great location!! good sized rooms clean WiFi in the room plus air con, good pool bar, staff helpful, we lost a key and they replaced it free of charge, great place for a budget holiday and if you don’t have a snobbish attitude you will be fine, kids loved the pool just not enough beds around it! but there is a little grassy area to use also can use your inflatables it’s a lively hotel but you can still relax. The main thing I was worried about is taking 4 kids between 5-15 yrs to this hotel after hearing about not receiving 200euro deposit, well let me say they must’ve been disruptive and not following the simple rules I had to pay 400 euro because we had 2 rooms and as long as you take your rubbish away and don’t leave a mess you WILL get the deposit BACK! I will definitely using this hotel again, thank you Salou Pacific until next time!!
hi, the staff were unwelcoming and not very helpful when we got there in the very early hours. you have to hire towels and even a kettle, the rooms were very basic and the pool was very tired and has seen better days, we were also charged 200 euros deposit on the room which was refunded after 5 days of being back in england. you have to clean and mop the apartment to get this back.
I was a little hesitant on what to expect at this hotel but we went in with an open mind and here's our review.
On arrival we was greet by an oldish man on reception who asked us for €200 per room deposit and €15 euro for 2 adults tourist tax. We ended up pay €150 per couple/per room and in response to recieve it back I had recieved it back I to my account the morning after. We left the room clean, nothing left anywhere and bed stripped with all used towels in pile.
The room very standard 2 single beds and a pull out sofa bed which are what they are, fridge, microwave and a hob. Small TV with 1 English channel and balcony with table and chairs 1 roll of toilet paper and no others provided.
Pool is cold but amazing after a soak in the sun. New steps have been added to the pool to get on and out. Plenty of sunbeds.
Some lovely food places outside, supermarkets and 10 minutes from.the beach. Great location and somewhere to get your head down and showered.
I was a bit hesitant as I read the reviews before going out. You do have to pay the €200 deposit in card, it is a big chunk of your savings I have to say but I understand it at the same time. When we were checking out the receptionist said we would get our deposit back in the evening. I got it the next morning when I was home! I would recommend you keep your room tidy and don’t leave anything behind on your last day in order to get the deposit back. We had rolls of toilet roll, body wash and shampoo leftover so we asked our neighbours if they’d like to take it off our hands. In regards to the bins you have to empty them yourselves and walk across the street to throw them in the public bins, we didn’t need to buy bin bags as every time we went to the shop for snacks or milk we were given a bag so we just used them as bin bags. You are given one bar of soap, one toilet roll, a mop, brush and shovel, four bed sheets and two big towels. I saw the check in time was 5 o clock in the evening. We had an early flight in the morning and wanted to see if we could check in early, they charged us €10 for early check in and €25 for a tourists tax. All these extra payments add up and especially on the first day we realised we needed to buy more toilet roll, body wash, shampoo and toothpaste. This apartment is the bare minimum and doesn’t provide miniatures of these toiletries. We also had to buy a sponge, dish cloth and fairy liquid. When we needed a new towel I was charged €2 for a big one. You are given two keys for the room so don’t lose them or you’ll be charged. I heard this from a friend we made in the hotel, they dropped a key down the gap of the elevator and were made to pay a dear fee. The floors in the room get dirty quite easily so I had to sweep the floor every so often, I wouldn’t suggest walking around bare foot or with socks on. Me and my partner walked around in flip flops as the floor is the type to cling onto dirt, the tiles did have a lot of cracks but it didn’t bother me, when in the shower do put a towel down on the floor as some water can splash out through the shower curtain. I also saw reviews stating the reception staff were “rude” I didn’t find this to be the case at all they were so helpful! It was unfortunate that our room was right beside construction workers banging around at the crack of dawn, it’s not the hotels fault but it was unpleasant to wake up to it. I observed that the apartment rooms are not sound proof and you do tend to hear everything the happens in the hallways/next door. The pool itself is lovely although there were dead flys and wasps. The strip itself is amazing but after a few days it does become a bit repetitive as you begin to see the same people and restaurants/bars. I didn’t think salou is that small of a town. We went to PortAventura for one day, was the highlight of my holiday, long queues for the rides but was well worth it! I would buy a fast pass next time and ask what days would be the best to go. Moral of the story I enjoyed my stay and the place did the job but I would seek for better apartments if you have a high standard.
After reading some of the reviews I was dreading staying in these apartments but on arrival I was pleasantly surprised the place is clean reception staff were very pleasant we were a family of 6 adults and 4 children they even sorted out taxis for us to portadventure theme park.
Apartments basic but clean and pool area was pleasant enough my grandsons loved it.
You get what you pay for.
Awful hotel , more like a hostel should be called a hostel , first of all could not check in until 5pm . Then had to pay €200 deposit for the room and then on top of that a tourist tax , then €1 to mind our bag until 5pm , bit of a joke . Woman on reception was very rude didn’t even welcome us only moody face and asking for money straight away . Smelt damp when we came in the door of the hotel , looked to use the toilets and there were very run down and extremely dirty . The whole lobby of the place was run down . Receptionist never said anything I had to draw it out of her is there a pool etc and she rudely said around the corner . Finally got keys of room went in lift lift also dirty and smells . Got to room smell down hall like weed . Lock on door not great took few attempts . Went in and two single beds keeping in mind my boyfriend is 6”3 , . Again damp well in room and dirty floors , sliding door to balcony very dirty . Bathroom very dirty , shower curtain mould , floor dirty . Whole room very damp and badly needs a clean . Disgraceful how dirty the entire place is . Would be better off knocking it down , as apparently as the women at reception mentioned the new building is next door , I also was very annoyed as I had by the way upgraded my room to estidio , I should have been told how bad this place was and even upgraded to newer place . Afraid to go in the pool as it looked so dirty and unkept , and water dirty also no atmosphere in the place whatsoever no music or staff or anything . Honestly the worst place I’ve ever stayed in
Great experience overall was great value for money apart from the €200 euro deposit and €16 tourist tax this was a great holiday I don’t think hotels should be allowed to do that took a 31 days to get deposit back but that wasn’t due to them they released it as soon as we left that was my fault due to the bank I choose but great value for money me and my mate had a great time and would definitely be looking to return next year
We have just returned from our second visit to salou and we stayed in Salou Pacific this time. When we arrived, we were told we had to pay 200 euro deposit which we knew about and then got told we had pay an extra 15 euros for tourist tax which we did. We couldnt check into our room until 5pm so we were able to put our cases in the locker room and go and explore until our room was ready. Our room was very basic and very similar to Inter 2 hotel next door. There was no towels to use for a shower only hand towels are provided which was a pain because we had to keep washing our own towels and we had to hand wash as the washing machines were broken downstairs. The room was clean but workmen decided to start drilling and banging at 9am and woke my little girl up as they was fixing the roof downstairs and our balcony was above the roof unfortunately. There was no entertainment on at night so we went next door to Inter 2 and I would recommend it best entertainment team around. Our pool was full of salt and dirty and another holiday maker told us he complained about the pool many times before someone cleaned it and it was full of dead flies so we used the pool in Inter 2 which is farcleaner. The maids never once attended to our room the whole week we was there which was surprising tbh. Anyway I've woken up this morning (18th october) to an email from the hotel saying that they have charged us 80 euros for damage to the room when all we left was a tub of butter in the fridge, a few cogarette stumps in the ashtray and some toys outside of the room that we couldn't take home with us and there classing that as damage, since when is that classed as damage. Anyway I wouldn't stay here again it's not the cleanest of hotels and it'd like they just want to take your money . Please avoid!!
First off it’s a 5pm check in so for those on early flights you have all day to wait as they don’t budge unless you pay for early check in.
Bath towels are not provided unless you pay 2 euro per towel, it’s a 200 euro deposit, which must be paid via card.
The staff are rude and show very little compassion. We had to hire a scooter but to get the scooter into the hotel you had to go round the back of the hotel via the bins like some sort of animal.
There is no cleaning service unless you’re staying over 7 nights and even at that we had to go down and remind them.
Hotel isn’t the cleanest and it’s just sheer laziness. I had to walk about with sliders on in the room as there just not clean.
We had lost one of the room keys, which isn’t the hotels fault but they took 100 euros of my deposit as compensation.
We were told we had to pay a euro a bag to store them in the luggage room while we waited for our transfer home. Just ridicules and it seem these extra charges apply when your fave fits as my friend was out in a separate room and was supplied with bath towels in the room and didn’t have to pay to store the bags. Just seems that the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. I would not return to Salou Pacific apartments as it was a very poor experience.
Worst place i have stayed in my life .
Should be knocked down.
Please take notice of all the bad reviews as they are all true. There is loads of places to stay in this town. You don’t need to stay there don’t ruin your holiday.
to start off i won’t say all bad things as you get a great time for the price you pay but if i was to come again i would definitely not be staying here again as we had a very bad experience in this place. upon arrival you are charged a €200 deposit which is crazy for the state your staying in and have to leave ur room spotless in order to get it back. we was then given the key to our room to find it dirty with bogeys and stains on the walls, chips in corners of the floors from previous guests ,holes in the bedsheets just generally unhygienic. we experienced our power going off 4 times only 2 days into the holiday which resulted in my partner slipping out of the shower and banging his head on the door. our water also went off resulting in us not being able to shower or brush our teeth before going out. the sink now and then randomly starts to drain which leaves an absolutely awful disgusting smell that takes over the whole room. the pool area isn’t much to moan about as it’s decent for what you pay but could be a lot better, pool was dirty first couple of days we was there, most sun loungers are broken, and there’s just no atmosphere or entertainment whatsoever. the rest of the hotel isn’t anything to really complain about just the same as the pool area really with the no atmosphere. we then stumbled upon needing more toilet roll as there was only 1 roll in the bathroom which we was then told by the rude and unfriendly staff that we had to provide that ourselves. we also had to pay to ‘rent’ a towel which i think is absolutely ridiculous. they have construction workers working from crack of dawn waking you up every morning. there was also no ramp for a pram or wheelchair/mobility scooter to get into the building. overall i’m very happy with the price i paid just not the service i received or having to pay €200 deposit for the standards you get.
On the day of arrival, I identified that the sliding balcony door in the apartment was structurally compromised. Specifically, the top right corner of the glass pane had a visible crack which appeared to have been superficially treated with filler, and the glass itself was unstable and wobbly within its frame. This issue was immediately reported at reception to a member of staff named Paola, to whom I provided both photographs and video evidence of the defect. At that point, I was reassured that the accommodation had been checked prior to my arrival and that the door was safe.
The following evening, while attempting to partially open the second panel of the sliding door to limit the entry of insects, the entire pane slipped from its fitting and collapsed onto me. Despite my attempt to prevent the fall, I sustained significant injuries including a deep laceration to my head, cuts to my arm and thumb, and multiple smaller abrasions caused by broken glass. Following the incident, I attended reception covered in blood; however, the initial response from staff was a comment that I might forfeit my deposit. This was not only inappropriate but also profoundly distressing.
Subsequent meetings with the property’s manager failed to resolve the matter, with the final position being that no further action would be taken beyond refunding the deposit. This response was wholly inadequate in view of the seriousness of the injuries sustained and the fact that the defective condition of the door had been formally reported prior to the accident. I returned home yesterday and remain extremely upset, as the incident ruined the holiday and most of my time was spent attempting to meet with the manager to seek help rather than enjoying the trip.
Never ever stay here if you want a good holiday. Said id give it another go even tho my first experience was awful. The rooms are filthy, doors and windows broken. One roll of toilet paper in the room, 3 handtowels and no extra bedding. States on website that theres a 100€ deposit, 50per person. When you arrive they will demand 200€ from you for a deposit and they will not negotiate. My partner then opened the balcony door on our 3rd night there and the whole glass panel fell down on top of him. They took our 200€ deposit because of this even though it wasn’t our fault. When we returned home they tried to take a further 160€ from my account and i am now in minus. Impossible to contact them also. I have been left distraught over this place. The staff are also young and have no idea what they’re doing. I am onto my bank about the lost money but unless they release my card there’s nothing I can do. They are not willing to do so. Please please AVOIDDD!!!
We stayed at this hotel we found the staff to be friendly and helpful the room was clean and spacious we left the room the way we found it and our deposit was put back into our account the day we left we would definitely stay there again
I stayed last year booked again this year reviews are awful on er I stayed all over posh basic you get what you pay for everyone helpful yes plastic cups are given rnd pool area for safety reasons yes you pay deposit which you get back an you take your rubbish out the hotel is great location snack bar pacific underneath meat some great people I always leave my room anywhere I go the same way as I find it only thing for me pool step was loose there was some work going on but didn’t effect are stay hotel is clean an toilet roll on chain it toilet that because u only get one in ur room and before paying 2 euros for a pack at shop they were being stolen 😂well I’ll be goin again visit house of illusion amazing air show on Saturday and Sunday plenty bars restaurants all over visit Victoria street straight facing open till 4 am lovely beaches felt safe as police presence everywhere no trouble Salou is a great place x
I could not check in for 3 hours after my arrival but if I paid €20 I could access my room. Bottom of bath was in really bad condition. No kettle and cooking rings would only work when air conditioning was on. No one came to clean the room and never got fresh towels the hole week, also had to ask maid a few times for toilet roll before she gave in and gave me one
Before I came here I read the reviews and some people wrote a really bad reviews but honestly after one week here we had amazing time the apartment we stayed in was lovely and the location was perfect close to everything amazing beachs not to far from the apartments yea you had to pay 200 deposit but you get it back its fair just incase you damage the apartments and you had to get rid of your own rubbish and keep the place clean and the ladies at the reception desk wore friendly and nice 10/10 😊but thank you to them the place was wonderful the people wore lovely and friendly I would definitely go back there again worth the visit so for the reviews I am going to give it 5 stars and I wish them ladies all the best and I would recommend this place me and my girlfriend had an amazing time and experience as it was in first time there 😊
Budget friendly self catering apartments, we were lucky to get the corner apartment on 3rd floor.
The room itself is spacious and clean, bathroom bit dated and could do with a shower enclosure rather than shower over bath.
Staff friends both at reception and at the Beer Garden. Live entertainment on most nights and has pool tables, air hockey and football table.
They have listened to reviews and made a kitchen cleaning kit you can buy at reception for €2 as pictured. Room has brush, dust pan and mop with bucket.
Only downside is the lack of bed side tables/shelves to put cups or phones on and a coffee table.
I would also recommend putting a sticker or sign at the balcony doors to say don't close when outside as the door locks behind you.
Lots of shops, restaurants and pubs outside the hotel walking distance. Or you can take a 5 minute stroll down the hill into main town.
This hotel is an absolute disgrace. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how badly managed and unsafe it is. The room we were given had cracked windows and broken glass, which actually cut me. The fact that the room wasn’t even checked before we entered shows how little care or standards this place has.
On top of that, the €200 deposit system is a complete scam. They took it straight away, and then immediately tried to take it back again. I’m now in dispute just to get MY money returned. To make matters worse, you don’t even get basic necessities like toilet paper – you have to buy your own. You’re only given a couple of hand towels for the entire week, and nobody cleans your room at all. At the end of your stay, if your room isn’t somehow cleaner than how you found it, they’ll withhold your deposit. It’s unbelievable.
Most of the staff couldn’t care less, completely unbothered by complaints or safety concerns. The only exception was Paula, who showed genuine kindness and gave me first aid when I was injured. She’s the sole reason I’ve given this hotel 2 stars instead of 1 (or zero, if that were possible).
This place is filthy, unsafe, and a total rip-off. It should not even be allowed to operate until serious changes are made.
