Hotel near the airport
Pros:

The hotel is very close to the airport and has its own free parking. We took a taxi to go to the city center (8 Euro) and the bus number 1 from Kornarou Square to come back. Staff was very friendly. We had a drink by the pool in the evening, that was a nice way to wind down.

Cons:

A bit far from city center, but it was fine for one night.

Pros:

Colazione orrida variegata ed abbondante. Posizione ottima per aeroporto meno per il centro. Quando il parking hotel pieno difficile trovare dove parcheggiare

Cons:

La possibilità di parcheggiare e i troppi aeri che passano vicini a tutte le ore

Value for money
Pros:

I mean it is conveniently located. And the bed and pillow were good.

Cons:

There is a lot of noise from the airport. The room had seen better days. The bathroom had some spots that could use some cleaning/touching up.
The breakfast was poor for my liking, with coffee and juice from a vending. However the eggs and some pastries were fresh.

Pros:

Staff was absolutely excellent, rooms were quite nice as well, the shower on the family room was very nice, the location is quite good and an easy bus ride to the city centre or to a nearby beach.

Cons:

I wish the pool closed later, and some of the beds were a little uncomfortable to lay down on because they were quite hard, other than that, no more complaints.

Practical hotel next to the airport
Pros:

Just next to the airport. Our flight arrived at 1:00 in the morning, we took a taxi (5 min, 15 Euro). Check in was easy and we fell into bed. The next morning my husband walked to the airport (15-20 min) to get the rental car. He was able to park in the hotel parking.
Breakfast was OK but nothing special.
It was just what we needed for one night. It was also easy to get onto the road going south, without having to drive through Heraklion.
