Rooms have very little sound proofing, loud repetitive noises into the night. List of many rules in the room made it so we felt uncomfortable to do anything in room. Hotel located on very narrow, steep road.
The room was modern, clean and functional. We got an upgraded hot spring tub area and it was nice and large. The hot spring tub comfortably fit 2 people and was great to soak in . The one problem was that there no heating in the rooms and Beitou was 10 celsius that night. The heating function on the climate control was not working. Asking the staff about it, they offered another duvet which we accepted but that was not enough. We were shivering in the room! Late at night we eventually went to a local store and bought a mini heater to keep ourselves warm. In normal Beitou temperatures, the room would have been good (5 stars) but during cold times, it is 3 stars.
great location and great, helpful staff. breakfast options are not very big but plenty to enjoy both western and Taiwaness style breakfast. Very good dinning room.
The staff was winderful to help me merge 2 reservations without actually check out then check in. Thanks!
Wifi is a bit weak but other than that everything was amazing! Big shoutout to Elaine who handled our check in and guide us to the lift. You made a difference. 👍
It is a very neat and clean place. We enjoyed a wonderful hot spring bath. The location is very convenient. You can taste local snacks in the surrounding market. It is highly recommended.
The room condition was okay but dim. The toilet/shower light is hidden in a corner, took us a while to find it. The power point is not enough - there are only 2, and one of it was situated in a weird location, close to the floor. The reception desk is unmanned most of the time and there is no one to help you with the luggage (up the steps from the pavement). The mirror in the toilet has a number of rust spots on it which totally spoilt the aesthetics of the room. You can only check in at 5.30 pm which is unusually late. My skin felt very itchy after my stay so I am not sure whether it was the bed or just something that accumulated and broke out after staying at various places prior to Aqua Bella. But the rest of my prior accommodation were all very clean. The in-room jacuzzi was the best part of the hotel stay. The fusion breakfast we had was also quite nice. The hotel also recommended a driver to take us to Yang Ming Shan and back to Taipei. It was expensive and he wasn’t very good. I would not stay at Aqua Bella again.
I love the place, honestly the only thing lacking on this is the toilet having a bidet but other than that the hotel is perfect.
I would never stay here again. The hotel was at best a 2 star and I am not sure how it was fabricated to be 4 star. It smelled bad (rancid chicken fat is how I would describe it), there was mold everywhere on the glass, calcium build-up all over, and the shower set up was rusted - and I was supposedly given a better room. The sheets were bleached with harsh material that made my body itch, I could not sleep and checked out ASAP the next morning. The girl from the front desk however was great, she cared enough to take care of the issues.
Excellent service and really enjoy the spa
Everything so good, service wonderful
BIG room with great hot spring in the bathroom! Our room is upgraded to a suite which has 2 big beds.. extremely comfy!! Although the price is a bit expensive but the room worth the price!
Suitable for family with elderly to relax and enjoy the holiday!
Great stay at Aqua Bella. Clean, spacious, nice breakfast, nice in-room hot spring, great service of staff.
100% recommended.
We were very happy with this hotel. The decor is very tasteful (Japanese-style) with fresh flowers on every floor. The ambience is subdued and calming with quiet music piped to public spaces. Breakfast is an extensive selection of Western and Asian dishes and very tasty (if all cold). The private hot tub is large and the hot spring water is piping hot. We arrived 3 hours early and after only an hour of waiting in the dining room, we were given the key to our room which had been upgraded from the Garden room to a Classic room. Very nice! Much larger than the Garden room. The bed is comfortable and the linens crisp. The hotel is a short walk uphill from the main street where you will find the Tokiya and other restaurants and massage salons. The Thermal Valley is a 15-minute walk away while the Beitou Museum is more like a 25-minute walk away but all uphill, right beside the Grand View Hotel. We recommend this hotel.
Splendid vogue room. Will come again. Pity there was no ramp at doorway, had to carry lugguage up stairs. Bathroom robes would had been a great addition.
stayed 5 days there, everyday same breakfast. fast check in & out.
We were upgraded to the best guest room (only 2 in the hotel). Room was very elegant, clean and spacious especially the hot spring tub. Reception was very helpful and friendly. Included breakfast was very selective and peaceful. Balcony was very nice and cozy. Would like to suggest the glass shower door shold be longer so water will not splash to the toilet area.
Booked this hotel with private hotspring during summer season, when hotspring is not that popular due to hot weather. Staff allows us to early check in and gives us free upgrade of the room (from Garden room to Classic room). The room is large and comfortable. Free water, pocari and fruits are given as gifts. The washroom and hotspring tub are huge. Water comes out fast for the hotspring tub. With windows open the ventilation is acceptable with just mild sulphur scent.
I think the drawback is that the coloured pillow are not washed frequently. There are 1 large and 1 small red/ brown pillow which kept some oily smell there, so I dare not to use them and instead just sleep on the white one.
This is a rare instance where the hotel room actually looked better than what the photos show. We didn't get an upgrade and the perks (wine? dessert?) that other reviewers got, but still we were happy with our stay. The room was huge and breakfast was great too. The tub was large enough to fit a couple.
The room was too dark overall and it was quite noisy that you could hear clearly the dogs barking outside. There are no actual open windows behind those curtains; it would be nice and important to have some sunshine. Oh, and cranky floor...well, the overall service was very nice, though I didn’t really like the idea of leaving the cardkey to the counter when we went out for awhile
Location wise is convenient but the toilet arrangement was disappointing as there was no place for you to hang your clothes. And the gym was also not quite a gym with a body shaker machine and a cycling machine. The business Centre comes with 2 computer but only has one keyboard attached that has A and Z not working.
