Really lovely hotel with great facilities lovely friendly staff and good selection of breakfast food and nice à la carte dinner menu

Lovely clean hotel with friendly approachable staff, a couple of hours away from the airport but a fab scenic drive.
Breakfast was good, nice to see lactose free milk available.
The only down side for us was that the beds were very firm and we struggled with sleep.

We had a wonderful stay at Fosshotel Reykholt. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. The staff is friendly. Breakfast was delicious! We were also called when the northern lights appeared and we were so excited to see them right in front of the hotel!

The hotel and staff were amazing! The rooms was clean and comfortable and the perfect location for spotting the Northern lights and peace and quiet!

Everything exceeded our expectations, the staff, food, breakfast, parking, surroundings, the view etc. etc.
Truly a good place to visit. Thanks.

My second time here!

This is by far the best getaway hotel in iceland! Just 90 minutes from Reykjavik and has the best staff, spa and atmosphere!

It is so romantic, spa is very good, 2 hot tubs, 3 saunas and 2 relaxing area.

The staff is a amazing and were always ready to assist in any way!

Could not reccomend it more!❤️

The staff is awesome! Rooms and all facilities are super clean. Restaurant serves great food. Meat is top of the line. Prices are reasonable.
Service and problem solving is honestly too good to be true.
The best place to relax, recharge and enjoy.
I cant wait to go again for a relaxing weekend!

Two nights stay & used as a base as part of our 5 night fly/drive holiday. Very small community & no food options close by, so used restaurant both nights. Limited menu, & expensive, as with Iceland generally, but quality was excellent. Very good buffet breakfast, also. Room was very clean & comfortable. Ideal location to travel out to a number of local, natural sites, including hot-springs & the impressive waterfalls at Hraunfossar & Barnafoss geysers at Hverageroi, a hidden gem, & the famous Haukadalur Geothermal Parks.

Excellent hotel in Reykholt in Borgarfjordur.
It´s a short distance to beautiful Hraunfossar waterfalls and others nice attractions.
The spa at the hotel is a must and the restaurant was very good with top service.

rooms are ok. a little small for two people with medium size luggage. very tight to open 2 suitcases and move around the room comfortably. we had an issue with the cleaning of the rooms, since you have to specifically ask for your rooms to be cleaned during the day, otherwise they won’t clean or make the bed. we asked and when we came back at the end of the day, they were just how we left them. other than that, the restaurant is good and the staff is very nice, helpful and attentive.

Comfy rooms and very clean, not much storage space but can’t take stars off for that as probably’ guests don’t stay for 3 nights. Food superb, great quality and good wines. Service was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend/stay here again. Felt very welcoming and cosy when you come in. Spa facilities nice with 2 outdoor hot tubs. Bonus was catching northern lights each night.

Great place for couples, has everything you need.

Beautiful room with friendly helpful staff. They alerted us to the aurora borealis and we had a wonderful time viewing. Also enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant.

1. Make sure to walk about the historic sights. So interesting! Lovely little village.
2. The wait staff at the restaurant was so nice!
3. The food at the restaurants wasn’t great — way too salty and seasoned and the vegan option had no protein.

Easy location — 2 hours from the airport and the drive was scenic.

Very nice hotel with excellent food and drinks. The SPA section is also very fine. We hope to you soon in beautiful Iceland again. Everything was very fine in this hotel - we will sure come back on our next travel to Iceland - stay healthy and hope to see you again.

Good and quiet. Room is not quite ready as the shampoo & shower gel had ran out and was not replaced.

Otherwise, good Fosshotel level of service and rooms.

Happy hour from 4-6pm, 900ISK for Gull draft beers.

Wine pairing- mega pint of wine served. Haha

Very nice hotel. Love this chain. Staff was friendly, everything was clean, and food was great. It was a busy night when we stayed so the restaurant was booked until 2100, but it was still good even though we had to eat late. The lady at the desk made some recommendations at other nearby restaurants. Unlike the Fosshotel glacier lagoon, this location did not offer call service for aurora sightings.
