Our room was very clean. The front desk worker was very friendly and efficient. We found it to be very overpriced for the room. We paid over $400 for one night. Since there were no other choices for restaurants that we found, we ate at the hotel. Our food was very good, but again, very expensive. We paid over $200 for our meal, that included two entrees, one drink each, and we shared a small dessert. We did enjoy the complimentary breakfast. The view from the window was of the glacier, so that was a bonus! Parking was plentiful and easy.
Room was perfect and the food in the restaurant was wonderful.
Very friendly staff, great breakfast but room was a little small
Really lovely staff and decent rooms. Breakfast was included. The prices in the restaurant are a bit higher than we expected even for iceland, but everyone was very nice. 4 stars just for cost, but a great place to stay when you're exploring the area.
The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was great. The staff was pleasant. Our room smelled like a campfire and we could here the whole conversation for a couple of hours of the couple above us.
Friendly Staff. Great breakfast. Comfortable beds. Good hot shower with good water pressure. Heated floors in bathroom!!
Clean room, excellent breakfast buffet included with gluten free options
We arrived a little earlier than check-in time. No receptionist was there. The old lady receptionist was called to show up. She was not pleased and very rude.
Terrific on site restaurant. The room was clean and spacious. The location is very convenient and close to many beautiful stops.
The rooms are very cramped and the walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbours murmuring.
The most disappointing was the service from the old lady at the front desk. She gave the worst instructions as to how to get to the glaciers behind the property. She also claimed that there was no way to drive to the glacier for a quicker walk when Google Map said otherwise. We lost about an hour of our precious travel time because we took the wrong turn at the fork behind the property. If you want to see the glaciers, take the left turn. But it is faster to drive.
Room was clean but very cramped. No tissues, no washcloths. Breakfast buffet was adequate but nothing special.
This is the best hotel we found in Iceland. It is more expensive, but worth it. Excellent restaurant in the hotel. Also good food at the Bistro near the Activity Center. The rooms have lots of space, with large showers.
Loved our stay at the hotel. We had a fantastic dinner there and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff were so friendly and wonderful. It also was a perfect location for our glacier adventure!
Stayed one night. Enjoyed walking right out of the back of the hotel and seeing the beautiful glacier.
Nearby access to hiking trails was awesome. Friendly staff for both the hotel and the restaurants.
This place was just average. Food was better than average (except for the price, which was high), beds were worse than average.
The Reception Staff were very friendly and gave us lots of help with a few things, and pointed us in the direction of a couple of wonderful Hikes.
They were great
Nice place, the staff is very friendly. And we saw northern light at here in August which is sooooooo lucky.
The hotel had all the essential amenities, but it was quite basic for the cost. The restaurant was excellent but also expensive.
No concerns with the hotel overall, just feels expensive for what you get.
Extremely overpriced vs other similar properties
