Great service, historic Amsterdam hotel.
Pros:

Amazing service, very quaint rooms and great location. I had a big luggage and I saw the guidance about the lack of elevators. The 2 kind gentlemen at the front desk helped me to move my luggage up using this amazing and historic Amsterdam technique that was such a fun sight!

Loved our room (#17)

Cons:

Unless you stay in the room on the first floor you’d need to be an alpinist to climb those stairs!
Also, there was only a staff person there at check in. After that you are pretty much on your own.

Vérifier le chauffage avant notre arrivée aurait tout changé !
Pros:

Bel hotel bien situé avec des chambres confortables et un distributeur de boissons

Cons:

Radiateurs non allumés à notre arrivée qui dissimulaient en fait une panne de chauffage et aucun personnel sur place et aucun moyen de joindre quelqu un pour avoir une solution *couette ou radiateur portatif* - pas de fenetre isolante et -4° dans les chambres
Avons vu un personnel le matin qu à 9h qui a confirmé la panne mais ne s est pas excusé ni n a proposé de solution car étions tous gelés et fatigués avions tous grelotté dans la nuit et très mal dormi
Ce qui nous a quelque peu gâché notre court séjour

Perfeita!!!! Voltarei em breve e me hospedarei novamente neste hotel!
Pros:

Tudo! A vista pro canal é linda vale muito a pena! O Paulo é o David são brasileiros, fez total diferença atenção e cordialidade deles! Era meu aniversário e o quarto foi enfeitado com bexigas, amei demais! Cama e chuveiro excelentes e a localização do hotel é perfeita!

Pros:

Beautiful old building on the canal. Lovely heating which was needed due to the cool weather. A unique way to get your cases to the top floor bedroom was to winch them from the street up into the room as the staircase was so tiny it’s impossible to drag cases up! Very unique. Location was also pretty fantastic. Right on the canal.

Cons:

Try to avoid the top floor attic room. It’s very tiny. Only enough room for a double bed and tiny bathroom. It was nothing like the photos advertised online. The hike up 4 flights of stairs was brutal. My mother stayed in a room on level 1 which was much larger and more comfortable. Obviously it’s a very very old building. But the attic top room shouldn’t be used. It’s too small.

Pros:

La ubicación del Hotel

Cons:

Nos asignaron habitación en el Tercer Piso, las escaleras son muy estrechas y subir y bajar maletas fue muy incómodo, sobre todo porque somos una pareja de más de 60 años, afortunadamente somos fuertes y gozamos de buena salud, pero deberían advertirlo previamente.

The property's text description and wide-angle photos are, in our opinion, misleading. Actual reality includes very small rooms and very steep, winding stairs which may be totally impossible for some - including my wife. We had to go elsewhere. Lost huge sum after a curt and unsympathetic response from management pointing to T&Cs. Might be viewed as a trap? Detailed study of reviews does reveal that the stairs issue repeats, but is too buried to be regarded as being fair, in our opinion! Transparency would be a big improvement. But if you have a head for heights etc, the location is great!

We had a lovely stay over all. It was quite expensive but no more so than any others we looked at.
Pros:

The hotel was in a great location and the staff were very helpful and polite. The room was small as was the bathroom but well laid out and as expected for a building of that age and style.

Cons:

Two of the four beds were quite uncomfortable with very hard mattresses with little padding. The other two were fine however.
