This small, friendly boutique hotel was absolutely perfect for our chilled and relaxing holiday. The property itself was stunning—immaculately clean and full of authentic Greek charm.
The staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Their local knowledge was impressive, and they helped us plan some truly memorable sightseeing excursions around the island.
Breakfast and lunch were delicious, with the Greek Salad being the best we've ever had!
We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful escape.
Just back from our 14th consecutive annual visit to 28 Boutique Hotel. We do go to other destinations ( Crete, Italy and West Country so far this year)but are always drawn back to Kamari. 28 Boutique Hotel.
Whilst the staff do change, except George who seems to be part of the “furniture “ his cheerful morning breakfast greeting combined with a willingness to help, got our days off to a good start.
The newer staff, are a credit to the hotel
Anita on reception, always ready to help
Veronica, on night duties always took an interest in our plans, on our return each evening tried to help us pronounce “goodnight “ in Greek we are determined to surprise her, by getting it right next time./year(already booked)
I’m afraid i didn’t get the name of catering staff but breakfast was more than adequate
Fresh and varied ( we don’t expect a small Greek hotel with multi national clientele to provide a “full English “)
Regrettably I missed the name of housekeeper but she always seemed to be ready with a smiling “kalimera” to clean the minute we were outside.
There are plenty of Sun-beds ( no towel wars here) around a good size pool with music from years gone by played at a sensitive volume, no rap tunes here.
The pool side bar provides an excellent variety of snacks/meals ( do a great souvlaki) drinks at sensible prices.
For us the location is perfect a short walk to the front, we’re in our 70s and it was no trouble.
Plus the cats, seems most guests bring treats for them. We named this one “George
Fabulous place to stay a real home from home . This is our second visit this year and have already booked again for next year … the staff are lovely .Anna on reception Is so lovely and you always get a cheery smile from George at breakfast . The other lady on reception is lovely too . Rooms cleaned every day, pool area is lovely and peaceful and enough sun beds for everyone
We loved the cats - some adorable little kittens this time and they just add to the charm . The hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle and less than 10
Minute walk to the centre
Tolles, kleines, Boutique Hotel mit super freundlichem Personal.
We have just returned home after the most amazing holiday to Kamari, Santorini, staying at Hotel 28 on a B&B basis. This hotel is adult only and has 28 rooms with either a pool view or mountain view, we opted for a pool view and were not disappointed. Our room was of a modern design and was very spacious, rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels were available daily for shower and pool so no need to take your own towels. Breakfast was 8-10am and offered a fantastic selection of hot and cold food and drink options to suit all, you also had the option to eat inside or outdoors open the veranda overlooking the pool, the perfect way to start your day. There is also a pool bar which opens from 10am-6pm and the prices are very reasonable, food portions are plentiful too. Staff at the hotel are very attentive and always greet you with a smile and a “Kalimera”, Anna and George deserve a huge shout out from us for their kindness and compassion, they go over and above to ensure your stay at the hotel is of the highest standard. The hotel is in a perfect location, transfer from the airport was around 10 minutes by coach, it is just a 5 minute walk to the bus stop with buses running regularly to Fira for just €2 each and from there you can jump on another bus to anywhere on the island again for just €2, we used the bus twice to visit Fira Caldera for the sunset 🌅 (breathtaking and an experience we will always cherish) and Oia during the day which was like nothing we had ever seen before 😍 and is highly recommended. Kamari beach 🏖️ is just a short 5 minute walk away and from here we watched the sunrise twice, stunning but get there early 6.30am ish, well worth setting an alarm for. Alongside the beach is a multitude of bars and restaurants to suit all. Personal favourites of ours was Love Boat for its lively atmosphere and karaoke, Mango open late into the early hours playing amazing music, Albatross for live music and stunning views across the Aegean Sea, The Hook Bar roof top terrace again for amazing views, Dolce for live sports and amazing cocktails. Kamari is a little slice of paradise which is on the flight path so it was a highlight of ours to be able to relax and watch the planes landing every day. We booked for 2026 whilst still on this years holiday as this hotel was everything and more 👌
We've had a real good experience at hotel 28.
Our room was big enough and it was really tidy and clean. Our room has been cleaned every day, and we also received new clean towels every day. The airco is nice, it worked well.
The woman at the reception was really nice! The first day she gave us a map of Kamari and of Santorini, and she's talked us through the island. What places to visit, nice restaurants, she even gave us a timetable for the bus. This woman was so helpful, she made it way easier for us to find our way. She was also very interested and it was nice to have little chats with her.
The breakfast was nice! It was a buffet with enough choice and every day there were some greek pastries. The personnel of this hotel are all really nice and friendly, the service is good.
The pool is also quite nice, with some nice sunbeds with enough options for shade as well, there's some fun music playing. The pool is not really large but it's big enough to swim some laps or to float on giant pillows in the water.
Also if you fly with TUI the hotel next to Hotel 28 (which is sharing the same parking lot) is also a pickup point for guided tours, which is very convenient. The only thing bothering us a bit was the buzzing sound the mini fridge in our room sometimes made but that wasn't that big of a deal for us. It certainly isn't a reason to not stay here, only maybe if you're highly sensitive to sound.
I didn't really make pictures of the hotel itself but I made pictures of the kitten nest also living %$there
I highly recommend hotel 28
We’ve only been here for two days and have already decided to return next year. Everything is spot on, food, service, team, rooms, location. If you book Hotel 28 - you won’t regret it. Absolutely Brilliant!
Where to start! One of the most relaxing holidays we’ve had in this lovely little hotel.
The staff, Anna, George, the lady on the pool bar and cleaners are all exceptional. All really helpful and a special mention to Anna who is on hand every morning on the front desk to answer any questions you may have, or offer advice about where to visit.
The rooms are super clean, relatively basic but are comfortable, with great air conditioning!
There are plenty of sun beds to be had, some with shade, and umbrellas for those that aren’t shaded. The beanbags in the pool are unbelievably comfortable!
Breakfast is served 8-10am, it’s continental but has plenty of choice. The pool bar is open from 10am-6pm (with food served 12-4pm) with good drinks and food choice, reasonably priced.
The beach and restaurants, are only a 10-15 minute walk away, with the bus stop around a brisk 5 minute walk away.
We used the bus a number of times, it’s straight forward and €2 per person for the journey. Fira is a less polished version of Oia but much less busier. Both, however, are worth a visit for different reasons! We managed to visit Oia without any cruise ships in, and it’s was still busy so worth checking their schedule.
The Mamma Mia cinema experience whilst watching the sun going down is worth doing at the Volkan Rocks in Fira, but must be pre-booked.
We couldn’t fault the hotel and the staff made it such a relaxing break for us. We can’t wait to return!
We stayed at Hotel 28 for 10 nights and enjoyed every single minute. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome and genuinely cared for – the hospitality was second to none.
George was with us every morning at breakfast, always with a big smile and great energy that started our day off perfectly. Anna at reception was incredibly kind and helpful, always ready with a recommendation or a friendly chat. By the pool, Fortina kept us refreshed with drinks and impressed us with her creative and delicious cocktails – such great vibes every day.
To the rest of the amazing team: a massive thank you for your outstanding service and warmth. You made our holiday extra special, and it’s safe to say Santorini has my heart. We’ll definitely be back!
Such a lovely hotel, amazing staff & so close to the beach front! The breakfast is also delicious (especially the milk pie). Those at the reception are very helpful and happy to give advice on trips to Oia and Firs. Only drawback was a slight smell of sewage in the bathroom - but did not affect our holiday :)
We had an amazing stay at Hotel 28, from the moment we checked in we immediately felt welcome and like nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff is amazing and so helpful.
Breakfast is served 8-10am and has everything you need to start your morning, I loved the Greek yoghurt and fruit! Food at the pool bar is also really good and good value.
Short walk to the beach front where there are tons of bars on restaurants along the front and all up the side streets. Also a short walk to the bus stop where we took the bus to Fira one day and Oia the next. The hotel also sorted out a taxi to and from Pyrgos one night for us which we really enjoyed.
Floating bean bags in the pool are a game changer - so comfy as are the double sun loungers. Plenty of loungers and always available no matter what time of day. The only thing I would note is that the beds are quite firm but we got used to this after the first night and slept great.
We loved our stay and if returning to Kamari in the future would definitely stay again!!
We’ve just got back from our 3rd visit to the 28 and it was the best yet! We had an amazing relaxing time and would highly recommend this hotel. Special mention to George and the lovely receptionist. You really made our stay special and miss you already. See you next September.
Thankyou so much from Paul & Emma O’Donovan xx
What an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. Anna on reception could not do enough to ensure our holiday was perfect. Delicious breakfast every morning with the ever smiling George ensuring your coffee cup was always full. The hotel is immaculate both the rooms and the pool area. Comfortable beds around the pool with a choice of shade or full sun. Reasonably priced pool bar with delicious food run by Michelle. What a wonderful team at 28 Hotel - we would recommend.
Beautiful and relaxing hotel. Such friendly staff. The rooms are simple, elegant and comfortable with everything you need. The pool area and bar are gorgeous and there is never an issue finding a sunbed. Michelle runs the pool bar and works so hard to make your day at the pool perfect. This is an excellent choice for a chilled but luxury stay in Santorini. We hired a car for the day (arranged by the hotel) and saw all the sites. Definitely go to see Pyrgos and have lunch or dinner, it’s beautiful and also visit Soul by Splash restaurant which is about 10mins walking right on the beach. The best food in Santorini
We have been coming to this lovely hotel for many years and still love it.
The location is excellent set back from the resort front which makes the pool area an amazing place to chill. The double sun beds are extremely comfy as are the lovely floating bean bags - luxury. The food selection at the pool bar is delicious and reasonably priced.
The staff work very hard to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.
The rooms are kept spotlessly clean. There’s free air con and room safe.
Breakfast is plentiful with lots to choose from and can be enjoyed on the fab terrace.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you for looking after us so well - see you next year 😀
Très bel hôtel proche de tout mais un peu au calme de l activité
Le personnel est agréable et très professionnel
Chambre très bien décorée propre équipée comme il faut Je conseille cet établissement
3rd visit to Hotel 28. Stayed for 3 nights. Still very good. The upgraded rooms and decor etc were excellent. Breakfast is buffet and very good. Kamari restaurants, shops and beach are close at hand. Some dispute, when we were there between town officials and restaurants along to front closing the beach side of the restaurants was somewhat unfortunate. Would we stay again…. yes.
This was our second visit to this hotel having previously visited 5 years ago. Nothing has changed in that time, the hotel is still spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent it's just a 5/10 min walk into Kamari. This time we stayed away from the restaurants on the sea front and opted for the ones on the back streets which was a good choice. The only criticism I have would be the breakfast, it is very repetitive and on some days wasn't that warm.
A small friendly hotel with nice poolside. Easy walk to the beachfront and town. Rooms clean and shower good. Weather was perfect for us at 25C. Plenty of restaurants around. Breakfast is simple but good. Coffee excellent. Booked via TUI and it was a breeze. Hire a car with auto box 45 Euro for the day excellent. Walk up the mountain, it’s worth it. Get up early to watch the sunrise.
Rooms here are within yards of the pool and breakfast. They could do with a kettle. Aircon works well but you need all doors windows closed or it won’t turn on. Airport is nearby so some plane noise, but it did not bother us. Overall good value.
