the lock on the shower was completely rusted & i got stuck in the shower for 40+ minutes until the concierge (who was very polite) finally managed to free me - only minutes before we were both about to call the fire brigade to come free me!

this is seemingly a common issue as the bathrooms on the other floors have visible marks from being pried open with a crowbar.

the room itself has a number of broken light fixtured & the ceiling fan was non-operational. the window did not open fully to allow the upper floor room to get any cooler. i lost my screaming for help.

also! my towel had blood stains on it.

after requesting a refund the reservations team were incredibly rude to me and insinuated that it was my fault for getting stuck and then denied my request! on top of this they called me "sir" the entire time on the phone because of how shredded my voice was from screaming for help! the reservations team are incredibly difficult to reach and don't have a phone number & the staff are incredibly cagey about providing any information on how to contact management.

Les chambres sont un peu petite et les sanitaire sont dans les couloirs mais on ne peut pas tout avoir ;)

A képekkel ellentétben egy levegőtlen, szuterén apró bukóablakkal a járdaszinten. Nagyon kicsi légtér. Nyári kánikulában kibírhatatlan.
Reklamálás után kaptunk egy első emeleti szobát, ami magasabb mennyezettel több levegőt ígért. Nagyon meleg volt, éjszaka lehetett csak ablakot nyitni és szellőztetni. A belvárosi nagy zaj minket nem zavart.
A matracok kétes tisztaságúak ( ez finom fogalmazás).
A reggeli minden kritikán aluli.

We only stayed at this hotel for one night, and even that was too much.

We had to wait an hour past the advertised 3pm check-in time before we could access our room. We booked a standard room and had no complaints about that—we paid a reasonable price and weren’t expecting luxury.

The real issue came during the night. Heavy rain started, and at 4am I woke up to rain dripping onto my bed through a visible hole in the ceiling. There was a puddle on both the bed and the floor, and water was also leaking down the wall.

When I reported it the next morning, the only response I received was to ask why I hadn’t come to reception at 4am. As three women staying in the room, I don’t think it’s unreasonable that we chose to try to get some sleep rather than pack up all our belongings and move rooms in the middle of the night.

I then contacted the reservations team, hoping they would handle the complaint more professionally. Instead, they dismissed it, saying they couldn’t recreate the weather conditions from that night and therefore had no evidence that the leak or hole in the ceiling existed. That response was extremely disappointing and showed very little concern for what we experienced.

The issue wasn’t just the leaking room—it was the lack of accountability and poor customer service afterwards. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend staying here based on my experience.

El calor que pasamos solo había un ventilador y como estábamos en el centro y era una entreplanta no podíamos abrir las ventanas porque se oía mucho jaleo,pero si vas a estar de fiesta en Amsterdam y no eres muy exigente...perfecto

Walking up 5 flights of stairs with cases, the shared bathroom facilities were filthy, the staff didn't really want to help, supplied with one tiny little fan when the temperatures were close to 30 degrees...

Está lleno de polvo y mal limpio de clientes anteriores. No limpian todos los días las habitaciones estuvimos tres días y la limpiaron al cuarto día. Las puertas no llegan al final del suelo se escucha todo. Lo único bueno la ubicación y el tiempo de la devolución de la fianza

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing.

First, upon check-in, the receptionist requested a €100 security deposit, even though I had already paid for my reservation through Booking.com. We were told that the deposit would be returned at check-out. However, we did not have cash with us, and if we paid by card, we were informed that it could take up to a week for the refund to appear in our account, which was very inconvenient.

Additionally, when we entered our room, it was extremely hot due to the heating system ( June). We tried to turn it off, but it continued running. We informed the reception, and the receptionist assured us that the issue would be fixed. However, when we returned later, the heating was still on. We were then told that nothing could be done. We requested a room change, but were informed that the hotel was fully booked. Instead, we were given a small fan, which did not help at all.

Furthermore, we requested a late check-out and received confirmation from the receptionist. However, the next morning, a staff member opened our room door while we were still asleep. This was both shocking and inappropriate. When we explained that we had arranged a late check-out, she told us that the receptionist had not informed her.

Overall, the service was very poor and did not justify the price we paid for the room. Due to these issues, I would not recommend this property.
