Das Hotel ist gut gelegen und denjenigen zu empfehlen, die keine hohen Ansprüche stellen.
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Man kann in der Innenstadt alles gut zu Fuss erreichen und die Tram fährt in der Nähe.

Cons:

Die Flure sind dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Auf die steilen Treppen wurden wir im Vorfeld hingewiesen.
Das Zimmer an sich war zweckmäßig eingerichtet, bei genauerem Hinsehen fielen die verschlissenen Gardinen und kaputten Fussleisten auf.
Das Bad entsprach gar nicht meinen Erwartungen. Der Duschvorhang muss dringend erneuert werden bzw. sollte gegen eine festen Duschabtrennung getauscht werden, dann flutet man beim Duschen nicht das ganze Bad. Die Ablageflächen sind nicht ausreichend. Das Waschbecken ist ausreichend für ein Gäste-WC, aber zu klein als einziges Waschbecken im Zimmer. Ein zweites Handtuch habe ich mir gewünscht.
Das Frühstück war sehr einfach. Wir hatten vier Tage lang das gleiche Toast, den gleichen Käse, den gleichen Aufschnitt - etwas Abwechslung wäre schön gewesen.

Pros:

This is not a hotel it’s a dungeon. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy there… absolutely vile
From broken rickety stairs to the carpet trying to walk itself out with the dirt. The bathroom, u couldn’t swing a toothbrush never mind a cat. Dust mould and general non upkeep have made this place a health hazard.

A lift that sounds like it’s about to give up on life,
While Amsterdam in general is old and falling apart, there is no excuse for a hotel establishment to allow these standards. While it explains the uneven floors etc it doesn’t justify the layers of dirt that have been building up for many years.

Excellent supportive staff.
Pros:

Quentin Canal House Hotel is a nice place to stay, but what makes it exceptional is the staff. I arrived with a low power phone and no charger and the charming receptionist offered to charge my phone on her own cable as I relaxed with a coffee in the warm sunshine. I felt cared for. Secondly, I made a room request for practical reasons, and was instantly accommodated by a second staff member. No hassle, just kind support. The plentiful morning breakfast was very good too. I had such a good trip to Amsterdam and this hotel was a major contributor. Thank you.

Somos un grupo de 3 amigos y la habitación triple más que suficiente!! Todo increíble. Lo único malo las almohadas durisimas y cuadradas. Por lo demas de lujo!!
