The hotel is a beautiful old inn updated to modern standards. It is near the museums we were visiting and a short taxi ride to Anitkabir. There are many dining choices. Although, many restaurants close early in that area.
While the breakfast was Turkish centric, it was delicious and plentiful.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Beautiful old hotel in a great location right across from the castle and in old town- very walkable. The service was top notch and the views at the restaurant were unbeatable.
We had the breakfast included which was a really nice small Turkish breakfast style.
Beautiful spacious rooms with a beautiful balcony for breakfast. The museum in the basement is likely one of the best in Ankara.
Lovely hotel in old town near castle and interesting museum, totally refurbished carvanersai . Interesting historical building
Staff is very friendly. The receptionist Rauf was very helpful
Beautiful hotel. Great staff. We love staying in places that have a history. This beautifully renovated hotel turned something very old into something special. Highly recommend.
Truly wonderful Location right next to the Museum of Anatolian civilisation and in front of Ankara castle. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms have everything. Reception staff are very friendly but the breakfast service was not so good. Compared to other wonderful breakfasts we have had during our trip to Turkey, this was disappointing. a cappuccino was charged extra. For the rest, it was wonderful.
Unique setting
Rooms are spacious. Nicely renovated. Close to some historical structures and museums. Pleasant to walk around.
A unique hotel with tastefully decorated rooms. Excellent renovation of a historic building. A true gem.
Charming great for a short stay nice views
Gorgeous hotel with loads of character but still to quality and the food at the restaurant was delicious.
Clean, quite, and friendly staff.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a boutique hotel nestled in the center of Ankara's historical district, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the exquisite interior design, which perfectly blends modern comfort with touches of the city's rich heritage.
This hotel offers more than just a place to sleep—it's a destination in itself. Every detail, from the décor to the ambiance, is thoughtfully curated to provide a unique and immersive experience. If you're looking for more than just a bed for the night and want to truly soak in the essence of Ankara, I strongly recommend this hotel. It's perfect for travelers who value a memorable experience over mere accommodation.
Lovely historic hotel right at the top of the hill opposite Ankara Castle entrance gates, nicely maintained with a generous bathroom including bath tub
Loved it.
Excellent on site restaurant. Convenient to major museums. Tons of character.
Air conditioning in one of our two rooms was not working. The problem was not addressed for two days. This was a problem because the temperatures were close to 40 Celsius during the day. At any other property, we would have been comped in some way. We were not. Disappointing and a let down for a world class property.
This is a lovely historic building that has beautifully restored. Very unique and close to museum and Fort.
Our air conditioning did not work and it was a very hot day. Made for an unpleasant night
The hotel did not meet the standards they advertised.
Beautifully restored property. It seemed a bit soulless, but still very much worth the visit. As a recommendation the team could tell the first time guests about the building , the area and try create more athmosphere and offer more of an experience. But definately highly recommend it!!
