I'm staying here in mid November. This is a very pleasant small hotel right on the beach. It has a lot of character and everything is spotlessly clean. The staff are all very friendly and I've been allocated a very comfortable room. Unfortunately the thing that lets it down is the restaurant. I'm sure it's because the hotel is very quiet now and in Summer it might be different - but at the moment it's not good. There's no buffet service and the choice is very limited. It seems to be a case of what's left in the kitchen? The quality is also very poor. I've not had a meal I've enjoyed since I arrived - and I'm not a picky eater. The first day I went to the beach bar and waited nearly an hour for chicken, which was virtually inedible when it arrived. The second day I went into the bar in the afternoon and asked for a cafe au lait but was told there was no milk - only espresso. I just wanted coffee and cake - but no cakes or gateaux of any kind. The response when I asked was 'no food for an hour!' The breakfast is OK thanks to a lady who will cook you an omelette - but if it hadn't been for that I think I would have starved! Unfortunately the hotel is quite isolated with few restaurants or shops close by - so there are few alternative eating options. It's a shame because the hotel IS nice - but the restaurant/kitchen service is dreadful. As stated, it's probably different in Summer when there are more guests - but it's very disappointing at the moment. I've been to Tunisia many times but I'm afraid this is the worst food ever.
Authentic rooms with unique local design, warm atmosphere, and attentive staff, perfect blend of comfort and culture. Special thanks to Nawel.
Un excellent séjour
Très bon accueil le personnel est sympa
Les chambres sont très bien
Magnifique plage
This is the place to be for a wonderful holiday, Friendly people, amazing food and lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed every single moment.
We will certainly be back …
We had a lovely time at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay we even extended our stay as we loved it so much. The entertainment was great staff lovely and the breakfast was fantastic, Noel is great the general manager very welcoming as are the whole staff. Thank you !
Sehr gut.
Wir sind mit allem sehr zufrieden gewesen!!!
This is a beautiful hotel, small, intimate, characterful with lovely furnishings. The pool is a great size for lengths, and the beach very close by. I would return here gladly, at any time, but for one problem: the food is terrible. The menu is huge but most of the dishes (including for example all the pizzas )unavailable. No Tunisian specialities. A big disappointment. The wine list needs ABV indications eg 11%, 12%, 13%, to avoid hit and miss! Such a disappointment as otherwise a wonderful place.
This place was perfect, not a modern hotel, but very cozy and had everything for an enjoyable stay. The rooms are well maintained (and I could notice improvement being done) The best beach access (a highlight) and beautiful gardens with lots of birds. The service from all the staff was outstanding, specially from the fabulous manager (Nouel), she was awesome and always there to help and making sure all guests were having the best time… she knows how customer service works. kudos for her!
Love the ambience and breakfast was also enjoyable… the bread they make right in front of you was a highlight and delicious!
The pool area was tranquil and beautiful too (see video attached). I highly recommend this hotel for families, couples, friends or solo travelers, no regrets!!!
This hotel single-handedly ruined all the wonderful impressions I had accumulated of Tunisia and its people in just one day. The attitude of the reception staff, particularly the female receptionist, was appallingly rude, verging explicitly on racism. These were by far the worst hotel staff I have ever encountered, even surpassing the abysmal condition of the hotel’s facilities. My experience was so dreadful that it made all the positive reviews for this place seem entirely fictional.
Room: Wi-Fi does not work in the rooms; it barely functions even in the hotel lobby. The room reeks of cigarette smoke. In the bathroom, the bathtub drainage is clogged, and when the shower is turned on, water sprays uncontrollably in every direction, making proper showering impossible. The sink is equally clogged. Even if one somehow manages to tolerate all these defects, the worst part remains the staff.
Worst Staff—Shame on Tunisia: Throughout my travels in Tunisia, I encountered wonderfully hospitable and kind people who left lasting positive impressions. They treated foreigners with fairness, often returning mistakenly overpaid money without hesitation. However, at this hotel, staff claimed they had no change and promised to return it later. When I later asked for my change, they feigned ignorance, audaciously demanding that I provide proof that the change had not been returned. As retaliation for insisting on my rightful money, they refused to arrange taxi services. Located remotely, every time I requested a taxi, the staff deliberately lied about calling one, leaving me stranded. Consequently, I had to walk nearly 2 kilometers under the scorching sun to reach a main road where I could hail a taxi myself, painfully watching taxis entering other hotels effortlessly.
Repeatedly, I wasted 30 minutes to an hour waiting futilely at the hotel for taxis, eventually forced to endure the blistering walk. The staff proved themselves incompetent, discriminatory, hostile, and disgraceful. After traveling throughout Tunisia for an entire month, the worst region was undeniably Djerba, the worst accommodation was this hotel, and the worst Tunisians were undoubtedly these hotel employees. My experience at this hotel was even more traumatic than being robbed of my camera by a thief in Monastir. Although I wholeheartedly recommend traveling to Tunisia, I vehemently discourage visiting Djerba, solely due to this hotel and its staff. The employees here, supposedly professionals in the hospitality industry, bring shame upon the entire nation. From room quality to food and staff attitudes—absolutely nothing was acceptable. The only positive interaction was with a young man working as a safeguard by the beach, who was genuinely kind and helpful.
Before booking a room, ensure you thoroughly verify the Wi-Fi, as it absolutely does not work despite their advertisements. Be aware that the actual facilities differ significantly from advertised photographs, and the bathroom issues are severely problematic. Additionally, be cautious when requesting a room change, as staff may shamelessly demand money. Amidst an otherwise fantastic journey through Tunisia, this was unquestionably the worst lodging experience, and thus I leave this review here as a warning.
The is our 2nd visit to Djerba and this hotel which a lovely small hotel with great atmosphere provided by the staff who are always friendly and smiling. Most of the staff can speak in multiple languages which makes things convenient. Great location right on the beach and near the best stretches of beach. Breakfast is ok as they don't rotate the buffet selection but there is a omelette station which helps.
The hotel was quiet at times we were the only guests at dinner which we didn't mind.
The staff are so welcoming and ensured we had a lovely time. It felt like being in a family. The room was always cleaned and with nice touches. The beach is beautiful and just a few metres away. Delicious breakfast and optional disco in the bar each night. Also possible to eat more quietly in the restaurant. Easy to get a taxi to the local towns. Can’t recommend enough!
