Nice hotel

Perfect night away

Pros:

Modern bedroom that was spotless and extremely comfortable. All of the staff were incredibly attentive and could not do enough for us. The location is superb and central. The bar downstairs had fabulous food and a wonderful atmosphere for evening drinks with live music. This was my second time to stay and I highly recommend the Grand Hotel. Will definitely be returning again!

Bar manager awful to staff

hotel is beautiful, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and its in the center of town, perfect location....I always go to the grand hotel, during day, however my night experience, was let down by one man, behind the bar....it was what I witnessed which was appalling...he was a big man, with glasses, possibly a bar manager....he was publicly and constantly shouting and roaring at staff, even into their faces, having long loud rants at them...he was holding empty guinness glasses in his hand at same time, and it splattered all over my cream top and my phone...he wasnt even aware....his abuse of staff not acceptable, he was irish, they were mostly foreign looking, and I would call it racism....many customers were shaking their heads with disgust...I hope the owners of the grand hotel, please take note of this....because this is not acceptable....
