Location the rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfast is very good
The bar closest to us closed early and this wasn’t relayed to us when we requested the room there
Didn’t have breakfast Location was fine
Dinner excellent but expensive
Would have liked a room with a view Was told I should have requested this when booking.
Marks on the carpet ( Room 10) but no big deal for us.
Beautiful room
N a
Tasteful.
Bathroom a bit “tight”
The grounds were pretty
It was a long confusing walk to our suite. The water for the bathroom was cold I guess as it’s a long way from the boiler. The TV was wonky. No choice of suite we wanted the William and Mary room I guess. Messy walkway trays left outside rooms for our entire stay. Didn’t like having to walk through the spa area to access the lift to our suite. If I was a customer I wouldn’t like guests walking through with luggage.
Convenient location. Lovely room although very hot. Signs said don’t open windows. Nice big bed.
Too hot in the room. One pillow was incredibly lumpy.
What a brilliant time I had. Firstly robes and towels provided but bring your own flip flops. Lockers available in the changing room for £1 refundable at the end of use. Then it was off to the spa area - pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Soft lights and gentle backgound music. Lovely warm water and the whole area was very relaxing. Chilled water available at the side. I then went to the relaxation room to wait for my treatments....again iced water or tea and fruit available. I promptly fell asleep. I got called to the treament room where I enjoyed foot, leg, back, shoulder and neck massage followed by a facial. All done I then walked round to the restaurant area to enjoy my afternoon tea which was included as part of the package. I can't wait to go again!
Recently has a spa package break. All facilities were great. Spa treatments were amazing, food in the restaurant was first class and also had afternoon tea which was lovely.
My wife and I’s stay was reasonably adequate, we booked one of the suites and paid over £400 for two nights the room was spectacular. However there were a number of hidden charges that were not communicated prior to our arrival.
For example although we paid over £200 a night for one of best rooms in the establishment we were still charged £10 per person to use the swimming pool and facilities, we also charge £3 per person for slippers.
Additionally if you’re hungry after 9 pm then you will have to make alternative arrangements as no food is served after 9 pm at the hotel.
When one arrives at the hotel they are informed that guests must leave £100 deposit on a card that they will get back at the end of ones stay, if there is nothing charged to the card.
However what actually happens is, they hold the hundred pounds and then charge guests directly for whatever was used in the hotel (charged too the room) and do not deduct it from the deposit.
A small sidenote but when we arrived at the hotel room we found a number of items left in the room I assumed from the previous guests like earrings and a cork screw.
Lovely experience at the spa. All the staff I met were friendly and welcoming. Olu was my beauty therapist - very skilled and created a calming an relaxed environment. Would highly recommend.
Very grand looking, nice and comfortable
When using the spa facilities we was only given a towel where everyone else had bathrobes, obviously I now realise that I actually hadn’t booked a spa break as I had thought, but this was because there was no spaces to rebook treatments
Good location for London cruise terminal, friendly staff easy check in/out
Nothing
We had clear communication about our planned spa day, we could choose our times for the massage, spa and then lunch. The massage was lovely, spa access was great, we were the only ones in the pool. Although the changing area is small, I have been there three times now and it’s never been too busy, so OK
We had a lovely relaxing evening before heading to Tilbury Ambassador Cruise Terminal.
The hotel was lovely and clean, all the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Would definitely stay again.
