This was my 3rd & last time to stay at the Belair beach hotel , ( the previous holidays here had been amazing)I had booked a Twin room with a seaview & balcony at a cost of £1872 for 10 days, on arrival at 1.10am I was greeted by William on reception who informed me there was a family room (409) available for me & suggested I do not unpack as the hotel would move me to the room I had booked in the morning.
The following morning I was given room (447) this was a single room where you had to walk on the outside of the room to get to a very small balcony .
I stayed in this room for 2 nights as I was told this is what you paid for.
It was so upsetting to be treated this way . I was then moved again to room (401) again a single room (which I had stayed before with sea view & balcony)
I went to receptiom & again spoke to reception staff, It was then 2 days before I was leaving they realised what they had done & couldn't stop apologising & offering to upgrade me if I was to come back , my holiday was ruined by this , I met so many nice people including Artemis by the pool bar & the happy dancing staff.
As stated earlier the first twice I stayed at the hotel it was great , needless to say why I returned
The staff at the pool bars , main bar & restaurant staff & housekeeping staff were absolutely amazing .
Me and my friend Alice came back to this hotel after going last year with our big group of friends. Can I just start off by saying that this hotel is one of the best and accommodating hotels I’ve been to. Massive shout out to Alex and Bob the entertainers who made me and Alice‘s trip 10 times better all the staff was so lovely and so attentive. There was not a single day where we didn’t feel looked after we will definitely be coming back again
!!❤️❤️
Belair beach hotel is a fabulous place to stay with amazing entertainment throughout the day and evening. Alex and Bob ensure all guests are involved that want to be, with pool aerobics, pool polo, pool volleyball, darts and games etc. in the day time. In the evenings there’s karaoke, singers, bingo, fire and glass walking etc. They are fantastic entertainers.
The food at the hotel (all inclusive) was good each and every day, although we did also eat out at a couple of the local restaurants in the evenings too. The restaurants, pubs, shops and arcades are a 10 minute walk away, although there is also a very good shop right next to the hotel. The beach is directly across a small road, with a lovely beach restaurant “Almafi coast” that offers the best sunsets over the sea looking out towards turkey.
We’ll definitely be back.
The hotel as a whole was good, I do believe it is only a 4 star due to beach front location. Drinks package on all inclusive is pretty limited. Think this needs looking at. No cider. Have to pay extra. And only 1 type of lager. Which was OK. The soft drinks in the bar tasted off. Think the pipes need flushing out. Food was good. Plenty of selection, something for everyone. The rooms were clean and tidy, beds were comfy. What more do you need. Staff were excellent and polite. Atmosphere was good although entertainment could of been better. Overall a good stay. Would I stay here again. Yes but hopefully with some changes.
This was one of the best holidays my grandaughter of 15 yrs and I have had over the years - we spend a week together every year on an annual girlie. The hotel was fabulous, clean, tidy, friendly staff, and we would like to thank Mika on reception for her warm welcome, interest in our day and for being so helpful. We were half board and loved that we could have breakfast and either lunch or evening meal. Great choice of food. Our room was half sea view rm 423 over looking the quiet pool, perfect for cool afternoon/evening sun. Rooms perfectly clean, included everything needed, ie tea coffee, hairdryer, aircon. Loved that there were enough sunbeds between two pool areas for everyone and didn’t need to leave towels on them early daws! Choice of a quiet pool area plus bar and a pool with music and pool games, incl aerobics, plus bar. Check out the games room too. Entertainment every night if you wanted it.
The bar just over the road called Amalfi Coast offered free sunbeds all day as long as you bought drinks, including just water. The beach is pebbly so definitely needed beach shoes but the sea was fun and a little rough at times. Bus to Rhodes old Town just up the road for 2.5 euros and well worth a visit. Would definitely recommend this hotel and lovely location. Thank you Belair.
We have just finished our holiday at Belair and i would highly recommend! We went as a family with 2 teens and they loved it. Rooms were great, food options were wide and everything very tasty (i love salads and fresh meats/fish and was so much choice), all inclusive drinks tasted strong which can be a rarety, always quite easy to get a sunbed even if late risers and entertainment kept flowing. Location also ideal with shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Would highly recommend!!
Location: Ideal location, just a 1-minute walk across the road to the beach. It’s only a 10-minute taxi ride from Rhodes Town and 20 minutes from the airport. There are also supermarkets and restaurants within easy walking distance.
Hotel & Rooms: The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. Rooms were spacious and spotless and the air conditioning was a lifesaver. The sea views were absolutely phenomenal!
Pools & Atmosphere: The two pools were great. The smaller pool is ideal if you just want to chill out without music, while the main pool is lively, to say the least, thanks to the entertainment team.
(A quick heads-up: watch out for the "sunbed police" from 8:00 to 8:45 AM—unattended towels get removed, which if you tell the Germans, this is actually how it should be!)
Food & Service: Food was a bit hit-and-miss—not a huge variety and occasionally repetitive. If you love pizza and chips, you’re in luck!
The bar staff were mostly fine, though at times they could be a bit dismissive or distracted chatting amongst themselves instead of serving when there's a queue.
Verdict: Overall, it was a great holiday and we would definitely return!
We stayed at the Belair Beach Hotel for 10 nights in July 2026.
We found the hotel to be pleasant, clean & the staff were friendly.
Pools
There are two large pools on each side of the hotel, we spent most of the time at the smaller pool as it was quieter & more relaxed, it also has its own bar so you don't need to walk across the hotel every time you want to get drinks which is good, the service from the bar staff is excellent. Wait times are fairly minimal.
We didn't have issues getting sunbeds at either pools, although if you are a larger family do expect to be spaced out a bit as you aren't always going to find more than 4 sunbeds in a row available, however for couples or smaller families this won't be a problem. The hotel does not allow people to put towels on sunbeds before breakfast & if they see towels on empty sunbeds after a certain amount of time they will remove them which is good.
Rooms
On the first night we were put in one of the smaller rooms which had a very small shared balcony however the reception did say this was due to availability issues due to us arriving very late which is reasonable. The following morning we were put into the sea view room we booked which was much nicer. Both rooms we had did have fridges & air con. The air conditioning was a bit weak in our rooms although was keeping the room temperature down so it wasn't really an issue. The beds are comfortable, TV worked for news channels etc. The bathrooms are a bit dated but were clean & functional & have been well looked after.
Food
The food is very average for a standard all inclusive hotel which was ok for us, if your fussy there shouldn't be too much problem.
Location
The hotel is located opposite the beach with a main road out front which is busy all times of day & night. The beach is ok, costs i think 5 euros for sunbeds, we noticed some neighbouring hotels have allocated sunbeds & a tunnel that links them to the beach that runs under the road. Turning left out of the hotel had more to offer, FBI sports bar is excellent, Romeo pizzaria the food is lovely & the portion sizes are overly generous. A little further down is Rock Island bar which has a band that seems to start every night from 9 ish playing all kinds of rock, pop music & the atmosphere is brilliant.
There are local service buses that pass the hotel frequently which are cheap however every single one we saw had a full standing load so we tended to use the local taxis, be aware most of them are cash only. The buses do take contactless.
There are day trips advertised in reception, we didn't use them though. Rhodes town is good, on our last day we got a taxi to Lindos which was very nice although extremely hot (42c on the day we visited). Taxis to Lindos are not cheap, roughly 100 euros each way for five of us however it is a fair distance (approx 1 hour).
Entertainmment
Alex and Bob go above and beyond with the entertainment, be aware there isn't any kids entertainment but this didn't bother us.
In our opinion this hotel is above average, we have stayed at much worse hotels that claimed to be better than this one.
We stayed at the Belair Beach in late July. The hotel sits directly opposite the beach on a busy road. Ixia is windy there was a constant breeze at the start of the week, but it seemed to decrease as the time when on, It's still hot and sunny.
The hotel is very clean, all of the reception, cleaning, animation and restaurant staff we encountered were all friendly, helpful and polite. I emailed the hotel in advance to request a room with a nice sea view, we had booked a sea view room but not sure what kind. We arrived late in the evening and to our suprise, we were told that our room had been upgraded, free of charge, to a Executive Room, it was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated - Thank you! The tourist tax was €70 for two adults for one week. We also celebrated a birthday during our stay, on request and for a small fee of €20 the hotel staff decorated the room with balloons and banners and provided a small cake - again, thank you!
The view from our 5th floor room was spectacular, we could see the whole of the Ixia strip and even the mountains, of what I assume, was Turkey from across the ocean. The Executive Rooms are in their own apartment block. The sunsets from the balcony were incredible. The free wifi works well throughout the property.
The room itself was minimalistic, tiled throughout, with air-con, nice bathroom with soap depensers on the wall, lots of hot water (the shower floor can be slippery, so be careful), storage space, TV, double bed, with bedside tables, lighting and plug sockets each side, small fridge, iron & ironing board, large side table, mirror, tea/coffee making facilities and two chairs. The room was cleaned daily with towels and tea/coffee topped up. The beds were comfy. We were given one key card for the room.
The main pool is a good size. There's also a small kids pool, both were cold, it takes some getting used to. There are lots of sunbeds around the pools, we went down about 10.30am each day and by then the majority were taken. Some mornings there was a staff member stationed in the area guarding the space before the pool opens, there is also chain put up to emphasise that the area was closed, but people still put their towels down, I didn't see any being removed.
The food in the restaurant was always good, there was always something to eat, the waiting staff are efficient and come over to you quickly to take your drink order and clean away your plates. I never ate a bad meal, there was always something to eat, fresh salad, vegetables, meats, soup, fish, pizza, pasta, bread, omelettes, eggs, bacon, sausages, cakes, ice-cream. All the usual items you would find at an A/L buffet. The alcoholic drinks are not that strong and are served in plastic cups around the pool and in glasses in the restaurant. The beer was good and soft drinks were fine.
The evening entertainment was outside on the small stage at the front of the hotel, we didn't attend any shows, so can't comment on that. There is music and games around the main pool daily, there is a smaller/quieter pool downstairs from the restaurant if you prefer the peace. It's next to the Spa room, seating area and pool table. That pool is slightly warmer, with sunbeds, seating and a bar, the area is shaded in different parts and doesn't get the sun throughout the day.
There are snacks available throughout the day at the both pool areas, make sure to try one of the ice creams from the bar, they're like miniature chocolate magnums and were very nice. Alex and Bob manage all the entertainment throughout the day, they're both really friendly and work hard keeping everyone entertained.
The main Ixia strip is a 10 minute walk away, just come out of the hotel, turn left and keep walking you'll arrive at the bars and restaurants. If you turn right, that's the way to Rhodes Old Town, there are also bars and restaurants up that way, but the walk is more like 25-30 minutes. You can walk to Rhodes old Town but it's a good 45-50 minutes, you can also get a bus (they get really packed), or a taxi, (which we did) which costs €15 each way. The hotel do a shuttle service at different times throughout the day, you can book at reception, they will also book you a taxi. You can book excursions from the main lobby area.
We had a nice time and enjoyed our stay. The best part was the view from the room, which was spectacular!
After a holiday in Lindos my daughter became ill at the airport and Jet 2 sent us here, arriving 2am on a Monday morning. Greeted by Vasili at the front desk, by day 3 he was my hero. We stayed two nights in two different rooms whilst she recovered and got a fit to fly note but we were back for a third night after a cancelled flight. Being greeted by Vasili at 4am and discovering he had managed to get us into a room we could sleep in beyond checkout was such a relief. It’s not a hotel I would normally choose but it’s clean, good air conditioning and nice rooms with good amenities near by. The staff were all lovely and because of the way we were treated, my daughter is desperate to come back (despite not even being able to enjoy the pool!)
Amazing week away celebrating birthdays and father's day!
Great food and drinks available.
Clean accommodation.
Friendly Staff (and guests).
Brilliant company and entertainment from Alex and Bob (particularly the water aerobics!!!!) - Thanks for looking after us all 😁
Amazing staff and entertainment! Alex from the entertainment team was brilliant. Great for anyone to come and have a good time.
YES the original part of the hotel is a little dated
NO you don’t need to reserve sunbeds
YES we would absolutely stay here again
All of the staff we encountered were the most friendly staff I’ve encountered in hotels and honestly can’t do enough for you.
Room was a lovely size and absolutely immaculate. Being a little dated in parts to me isn’t an issue as long as it’s clean and this was. The maids work so hard to keep levels high. The entertainment team of Bob and Alex are 1st class, work really hard, have time for everyone and whilst they aren’t too in your face they do take time to try and involve everyone.
The only slight negative was some of the food and drink. There is always loads of food and it’s constantly replenished. You’d struggle to not find something to eat. Breakfast was my favourite and I am already missing the fresh omelettes.
Drinks menu for cocktails seemed a bit limited for all inclusive but didn’t have an impact on us.
Overall a great week at a spotless, friendly and lovely hotel. Would we stay again? Yes absolutely if we were going back to Ixia.
Great locations and a lovely hotel. Couldn’t fault anything.
Clean and tidy rooms, decent size and also the balcony with sea view amazing.
Alex and Bob were amazing fun during our stay, couldn’t fault anything with them and their entertainment. Can’t wait to go back.
Hotel just okay, all inclusive was a joke pina colada not included in this for some reason despite it being local spirits. The coffee/ tea machine was not allowed to he used in the restaurant at lunch time and tea time for some unknown reason. Food buffet was cleared away dead on time every day At 2pm so when you ate in the restaurant it was a rushed experience as staff would start taking the buffet food away immediately at 2pm and 9pm in the evenings. Small bottles waters we had to pay for, no signs on any food in the buffet area for gluten free as my mum is celiac, we had to ask the staff daily what she could and couldn’t have. The hotel has yet again changed management 2nd time in a year I believe, the hotel staff were good but they were tied under the new management which is where the problem lies in my opinion .
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Belair Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the hotel’s location right by the sea made it even more special.
The biggest highlight of our holiday was definitely Alex, Bob and Firas from the entertainment team. They took the entertainment to a whole different level. Every activity was full of energy, laughter, and fun. Whether it was pool games, water sports, quizzes, or the evening entertainment, they made everyone feel included and created an incredible atmosphere. They genuinely care about the guests and always have a smile on their faces.
Thanks to Alex, Bob and Firas, we made unforgettable memories and enjoyed every single day. They are a huge credit to Belair Hotel and one of the main reasons we would love to come back. If you’re looking for a hotel with fantastic entertainment and an amazing atmosphere, Belair Hotel is the perfect choice!
First stay at this hotel although stayed in Ixia before.
Arrived at 22.45 after travelling all day. Nothing left in our room, not even a couple of bottles of water which wasn’t the greatest impression. Had to run down to the bar before it closed for two cups of water.
Room was clean and spacious but bed very hard and uncomfortable. Nice balcony which faced one of the pools and the beautiful sunsets.
We really enjoyed our meals here. We tend not to eat lunch so can only comment on breakfast and dinner but plenty of choice for both. Can get chips, sandwich’s, salad etc at the pool bar.
Very little alcohol in cocktails at the pool bar. The girls behind the bar always got our order wrong because they were too busy chatting to each other and often poured full fat Pepsi for my husband who is a type 1 diabetic. Also served in non reusable plastic cups which I’m not a fan of. Need to invest in reusable ones which surely must be better for the environment?
The activity team did their best, aqua aerobics, water polo but was very repetitive for a two week stay.
We got to use the facilities until our evening flight time which was good and the hotel has adequate showering facilities next to reception if you don’t fancy paying to keep your room on.
Some positives from our stay here but wouldn’t return, nicer hotels in the area at the same star.
Had an executive room overlooking the sea and pool, very clean, room is modern and nice. They don't allow towel reserving sunbeds, and police it well, food is great and a wide choice, staff are friendly and helpful especially William in reception nights. We would thoroughly recommend.
From start to finish we loved every minute at the Belair beach hotel. The staff are amazing and went out there way to help you, Alex and Bob are absolutely fantastic at what they do & are an asset to this hotel. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The food is excellent and have many varieties to choose from. The pool and views from the sea view rooms are just WOW, what a beautiful hotel this really is, will 100% be coming back here next year, thank you all at the Belair hotel for a great holiday, regards John & steph..
