Hotel staff are rude and don’t listen to you and hotel bathroom was flooding and getting really slippy. Won’t go again the food was okay some nights but found pink chicken so didn’t eat the chicken. Pool side was slippy not much entertainment the pool side food was nice. Don’t think there is much to do round the area. Wouldn’t go again!
I am dissatisfied with the hotel and its location. The staff, however, provided exceptional service. The executive rooms are satisfactory, but the older section of the hotel is quite dated. There are two pools; the main pool plays loud music throughout the day, and the second pool becomes shaded in the afternoon. The alcoholic beverages, particularly the beer, were unpalatable, and most of the carbonated soft drinks were flat. While the food was of good quality, the dining experience felt comparable to a factory canteen.
Can not understand why people love it 😒

This is a truly fantastic hotel! I loved everything about it, for my first time in Rhodes it was a great experience. The location was great, the rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the pool was amazing! I was half board and really enjoyed the food too, I was advised if I wasn’t having dinner in the restaurant I was welcome to eat there for lunch instead which was incredibly generous. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this hotel at all. It was a 5-star experience all round!
This is a honest review, just got back from a lovely holiday to Rhodes , Rhodes Town & especially the old Town were beautiful highly recommend to go there, Lindos & Symi a definite choice to go too, stunning places , THE HOTEL this is not a 4 ⭐️in my opinion, very tired looking , needs new sun beds as the ones were very old , The rooms were ok we just had the standard ones little small but functional, cleaned every day , towels are old and thin , The furniture in the hotel needs replacing again old , windows need a good clean especially in the restaurant , Food was a bit limited, however we did always find something to eat most nights, the food was mostly Luke warm needed to be hotter, soup always good & hot tho .The hotel staff were fantastic always friendly & work so hard . Unfortunately there is a strong smell of sewage up by the pool area & outside the hotel, this is coming from the sewage outlet across the road !!!!!!!!! Stinks wouldn’t go in the see because of this , beach not good full of rocks & stones , the busses are every 20mins & only 10 minutes to Rhodes town/ old town so handy to get about, would possibly go back but certainly a different location & hotel.
Definitely NOT 4 star!! 3 for the hotel and a generous 2 for the food!! Who eats carrots for breakfast?? Pictures look nice but the reality is they are just about to close down for the winter and we were literally given the dregs from the freezer to eat!! Nice room but NOT an executive suite, mostly nice staff, cold pools but we enjoyed that. Food....hmmm.... Pretty rubbish actually, carrots and raw oats for breakfast?? Other offering there including burnt to a cinder really awful streaky bacon and beans but EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING was cold including plates!! Just dreadful, either offer a FULL service or close your doors now!!
I
A nice hotel, staff are all really friendly, especially the bar man, he really makes your evening when going for a drink.
The rooms are nice, very clean and have everything you could need. We’re here with family and all the rooms are nice, good views. The whole hotel is very clean, they have an excellent housekeeping team who deserve praise.
We haven’t eaten dinner in the hotel much, but when we have the food has been nice, not a massive selection but overall decent quality. The breakfast is a good selection and can’t fault the offering.
The pool area is lovely, a nice selection of two pools, one for adults and one for the kids, the pool is quite cold, but refreshing on a hot day.
Overall, the hotel is clean, staff friendly, rooms nice and good value for money.
Couldn't fault it really, went all inclusive, food fantastic and great variety. Hotel was spotless as were the rooms, friendly staff, very helpful.
Even had free upgrade to executive room, thank you!!
I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of October with my partner and we could not fault it. After recently being diagnosed with coeliac disease i felt quite nervous with how i was going to manage this but the staff could not of been more helpful.
The head chef emmet was brilliant, every time he saw me come into the restaurant he took me round all of the food and explained what was safe for me and always offered to make something different if there was nothing that I liked. Mika on reception was also so helpful, as soon as I made her aware of me being coeliac she gave me all the information I needed .
I saw a lot of comments about the hotel being on a main road to get to the beach but cars do slow down for you and there’s zebra crossings not to far from the hotel to cross. Bus stop is just down the road to get to the old town. The buses do get really cramped as they let a lot of people on however it’s about a 10 minute journey
We would definitely stay again
Booked with our usual holiday provider after reading the reviews has mixed concerns. Here's what we found
Good bits
Close to sea, nice pool area, friendly staff, clean rooms, nice balcony area overlooking both pool and sea. Restaurant plenty big enough and could always get a table without issue.
Ok bits
Tea and coffee facilities
Housekeeping
Food to a degree. Have had worse and have had better. If being honest meals were not hot, only warm, so we're cold before you had the chance to finish them. Desserts - not a lot of options, fruit - if you don't like melons or oranges you were a bit stuck for choice. Breakfast plentiful but again only ever like warm. You wouldn't starve by any means but it all became a little repetitive but the end of the week.
Bad bits
Noisy, especially at night. The walls between rooms is very thin and not well insulated which meant that if you were next door to someone's crying baby or someone with a snoring issue you were keep awake all night. I could actually hear what was happening in the next apartments bathroom, so either they were very loud or the walls are made of paper.
Bathrooms although spotlessly clean are a little dated.
Wardrobe space in our room limited.
Did not spoil our holidays but upgrading could have made it better.
We arrived just in time for the evening meal .the food was amazing a lot to choose from.
Staff all over the hotel were very helpful and pleasant. They had 10 cocktails included in the all inclusive.
Pools were ice cold but you soon got used to it .
Would not recommend people with kids as there is not a lot to do for them apart from the pool and games area.
But would highly recommend for older families we had a fantastic time and lots of resting by the pool .
We stayed at the Belair Beach Hotel between 1st-11th September 2025.
We arrived late on the first day and check in was so straightforward. The gentleman at reception was friendly and explained everything to us. He showed us to our room, helped with bags and setting up the safe (€20 extra). There was a plate of food and bottle of water in the fridge for us both as we had missed dinner.
We stayed in executive room 569 on the fifth floor with views from the balcony overlooking the sea and the main pool. The room was modern with white and blue painted walls, a large wardrobe with hanging and shelf storage, a desk with a couple of chairs and a shower room with a walk in rainfall shower. To our surprise, towels and bed linen were changed every other day. The room was always fresh and clean with the beds made up every day (unless you leave out the ‘do not disturb’ sign). The fridge had plenty of space to hold our big bottles of water we purchased from the supermarket beneath the hotel.
There was free WiFi available in our room and around the hotel although we found it not to work in the outside area by the lobby bar.
The main pool is a decent size and has an infinity edge at the far end. Sun loungers were reserved from 6am some days and despite there being warning posters, no one ever removed towels despite some guests not arriving for up to 8 hours after they laid their towels. There was always the odd sun lounger available after 9am although the majority were taken before 8am.
The hotel has views across the sea to Turkey. The busy main road between Rhodes and the airport passes in front of the hotel but we were aware of it having looked for local amenities on Google Maps before booking. Supermarkets, restaurants, bus stops and even mini golf were all within walking distance of the hotel. Crossing the road can be difficult but there are zebra crossings a few hundred yards in each direction.
There was also a small, shallower children’s pool and another seemingly quieter pool on the other side of the hotel.
The main pool has a mix of music on every day between 10am and 6pm. While this adds atmosphere, sometimes I felt it was too loud. There were often pool games including aqua aerobics and water volleyball, which were popular. There was a lifeguard who mainly resided by the children pool and one side of the main pool.
We often sat on the sun loungers close to the road and we soon stopped noticing any noise. Aeroplanes often flew over on their approach to the airport some 15 minutes drive away and we found them a joy to watch when we were at the infinity edge.
There is a beach opposite the hotel but we favoured staying by the pool during the day. A pair of beds and a parasol were typically available to hire for €10. We enjoyed evening walks by the beach and beautiful sunsets each evening.
We were all inclusive and were impressed with the hotel food. Breakfast was cooked breakfast, continental, fruit with yoghurt or even cakes/biscuits/pancakes. There were a variety of sausages and at least 3 choices of eggs every morning. Lunch and dinner were varied with plenty of choice. Most days were themed, Friday being fish and this was impressive even though we don’t eat a lot of fish normally this gave me the opportunity to try crab and octopus. There was a Chinese themed night and also a cheese and wine night. To us there was food for anyone and if you did not want to try the Greek cuisine there was always pizza and chips every single day. We used the snack bar a few times and got our inclusive drinks throughout the day. The bar staff are very lovely and Besa always remembered us and our drink order each day (Orange Juice and Lemonade with Grenadine). Neither myself or my partner drink alcohol so we relied on the soft drinks.
There are three supermarkets in close proximity of the hotel including one directly under it. These sold snacks, drinks, clothes and gifts. You can also buy bus tickets for €1.80 per person per journey. We travelled on the bus to Rhodes, but we saw others heading to the Butterfly Valley and airport.
There was a variety of entertainment most evenings by the lobby bar which started at around 9pm. We saw the fire show and live music, but there were also bingo, karaoke, quiz and dancing evenings. These were led by the in-house ‘Animation’ team Judi and Dino, who we would regularly see engaging with guests by the pool. There was also darts and table tennis in the hotel games room.
We went on a few trips and even hired a car for the day for €55 from Alfa Cars underneath the hotel. We enjoyed the boat trip to Lindos organised by Jet2 which included three hours in Lindos and a couple of swimming stops in quiet coves. We drove to the Butterfly Valley, Seven Springs, Grande Blue Beach and Rhodes Old Town, where we parked by Thermai Park for €7 per day (labelled as ‘Parking Full Day’ on Google Maps). Butterfly Valley is well-worth a visit, Seven Springs less so as the thought of walking along a dark, narrow tunnel was not appealing. Some of the roads towards the centre of the island can be steep and twisty so keep to the coast roads if you prefer flatter roads.
Belair Beach Hotel is a 4 star hotel and we feel this is an accurate reflection based on our experience and the ratings given in Greece. We found some minor issues, such as a broken toilet seat and door in the male toilets and the drain cover around the pool would benefit from a jet wash, but all in all we were impressed with our stay and would definitely return in future.
Nice mid-sized hotel right across to beach. Suit rather more mature clientele. It is very vell-run 4-star hotel. It has 2 large swimming pools and small paddling pool. We spend wonderful 1 week in executive suite facing sea. The room was clean and well-maintained with nice sea views in the morning and evening. Hotel was very quiet aside from big bars and clubs. Yet, if you wish to you can reach those quite easily. It is a great place for somebody who wants quiet time with easy access to swimming pools and beach. The sunbeds on the beach across the road just 5 Euro. Wonderful, friendly and very helpful staff. They would really deserve another star. Food was very good with a lot of choice from traditional dishes to local dishes. I do appreciate their effort and great hospitality. Thank you for a great time.
Lovely hotel, it was as expected. Nice room with balcony (smoking allowed :)) overlooking the sea and pool. Rooms were cleaned daily, sheets and towels every 2 days but they did change them if left on the bathroom floor. We went all inclusive which we haven't done before, we will go half board next time as we are not pool users and like to go exploring all day. The pool area was nice though and well used by others and not noisy. The all inclusive beer was ghastly but you could buy bottled beer. We had a fridge in our room so stocked it with beers from the neighbouring supermarket which had everything we needed. We left one door card in the room when we went out to keep the fridge on when we were out. The self service breakfast was excellent as the evening meals with lots of choices but soon goes cold once sat at your table. Staff were very friendly and work hard.
Quiet area with a few local bars/restaurants a short walk away. Bus to Rhodes town frequent but very busy and often full and drove past but taxis often pull up and offer a cheap ride of 5 euros per person with others so we used these. The walk into Rhodes town is nice, about 1.5 miles along the beach path.
Would recommend if you want a quiet relaxing break with minimal entertainment and noise which suited us. Left a tip for the cleaning ladies as they close end of October until April, they worked very hard to ensure your room was spotless.
We had an executive sea view room which was lovely, the room was clean and spacious (even with two small children), nice big balcony too.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly, the receptionist night shift man was helpful and friendly to required additional assistance.
Alex and Sammy do their best to bring fantastic entertainment throughout the hotel, they are enthusiastic and great at getting everyone involved. We loved the water aerobics, darts and evening entertainment. Alex was friendly and great with my little boy too!
Good selection of food and drink with a different theme each evening. Something for everyone at all meal times. Great that you get drink service to your table at lunch and dinner. Staff are all very attentive and friendly, very accommodating to our large group of 15.
We arrived late and had a smooth, speedy check in and when there was some plates of food in our fridge and some bottles of water upon our arrival.
Hotel was in good location, there is a bus just down the road which takes you into old town, you can purchase bus tickets from the supermarket next door for a couple of euros. Has a good selection of bars and restaurants down the road too. We visited glory days FBI sports bar a few times and highly recommend. Great cocktails, great food and amazing service.
We spent the day at the beach across the road too, 5 euros for a sunbed for the day. Beach is stony so I would recommend taking some water shoes if you want to go in the sea. (The sea is much warmer than the pool too)
We had a great stay here and would recommend this hotel to others.
Stayed in October on an inclusive basis (this hotel has various levels of boards), towards end of season and had some freak bad weather days but was still able to sit out in the sun for most part. I'll start with the good bits of the hotel....
*Large executive ground floor room overlooking pool and sea. Great view and room clean. Large bathroom with rainforest shower.
*Two pools, front one was noisier but had plenty of sun beds and snack/bar. We preferred the back one, quiter but back pool does not do snacks only drinks.
*Restaurant waiting staff very attentive and work very hard! Reception staff lovely, particularly the night shift guy!
*On main route in for buses, taxis however we used pristeige travel coach which we booked using a QR code at reception.
*Lots of eaterys and bars within walking distance.
The down side.......
*Hotel very dated, large sections of the hotel with wasted space with 80/90s looking furniture and information boards and folders that seem to have come from the same era! Could have done so much more with these spaces. Need more comfy seating near bar area but all chairs within bar and outside was hard seating.
*Hotel overlooks the main road into Rhodes old town and therefore can be very noisy and busy. Cars do slow down when you attempt to cross but you need to cross with caution, even at the zebra crossing!
*Fridge in room is empty and noisy! As all inclusive we presumed it would be stocked with soft drinks at least but you aren't even alloweed bottles of soft drinks or water on AI basis, only plastic cups of water fizzy drinks!
*Room walls are thin and if you have a balcony and don't smoke, expect your neighbour to be smoking which will blow over to your balcony. Not sure if there is a no smoking block but it did effect when we could sit out on the balcony.
*Room is made daily but towels and sheets changed every other day, not a big issue for us but maybe for some.
*Entertainment in the evening we didn't really bother with, didn't look that great but is outside next to busy road traffic so could be noisy.
*Drinks are served in plastic cups, would be nice to have option of serving in people's reusable bottles to save on waste.
*Pools are Baltic temperatures! Even in the summer months I hear as well.
*(Dated) Kettle in room with tea and coffee. Creama for coffee but if you need milk for tea you need to take it from the restaurant in a cup.
Overall we felt we were on a 3* hotel and certainly not a 4*. Our advice is to not go all inclusive here but perhaps half board as there are plenty of other places to eat nearby or a short taxi ride away as whilst we felt the food served was good, it became repetitive and so we ate out a few times more than we thought we would. If going in October make sure you bring extra jumpers and PJs as we were quite cold at night!
Ok,so this is my second time at this hotel and absolutely the last.
The difference a year makes is outstanding, last year it was welcoming, friendly and had great food - the only downside was the cleaners stealing from the room.
This year, holy mackerel. The reception team are cold and unhelpful - the food is the worst I've experienced on a Greek island hotel, the restaurant staff are unhappy to say the least.
Honestly at the moment I am searching for another hotel to go to - we apparently got an upgrade. The fridge barely keeps things cold, the door was constantly beeping which we were relaibly informed to "close the door properly" which didn't actually make any difference at all - we just gave up on them doing anything at all. Luckily for us, this trip I was here to review the hotel so I have everything recorded (even the interaction with the man telling us things weren't broken and it was our fault for not doing things properly).
There is no way this hotel deserves it's 4 stars anymore, 2 at best. Do yourself a favour, don't stay here you will be disappointed.
Another fantastic stay at the Hotel Belair. Really appreciate been giving the same floor with pool/sea view as before. Reception staff were great and so helpful on arrival. Dining room staff were brilliant as well as a great choice of food. Maids done a great job and also the lifeguard was helpful and pleasant at the pool. A big shout out for Ilias the head barman and his team at the main bar who were relentless pouring drinks and minimising any queues. Great timing for us with Alex (Gerry Cinnamon) joke😎 returning for the day and evening entertainment while we were there as I have said before he was one of the funniest guys I had met in years and still is as well as a great entertainer. Overall another fantastic stay at the Hotel Belair.
My husband & I stayed at this hotel we got Executive Sea View Room. This room was lovely good sized room lovely & clean. Nice bathroom & good shower.
Hairdryer in the bathroom & shampoo supplied. Lovely view overlooking the main pool & the beach.
We were Half board, always something to eat at breakfast & dinner. Though the dinner choice did get repetitive, not enough choice In the evening.
We found the staff lovely & helpful. Also are room was cleaned everyday. Location was good near all the bars & restaurants & the beach. & Only about 10 minutes on the bus into Rhodes.
Great shop beside the hotel as you come of the main door to the left hand side. Good prices & lovely staff
Bad Points
Main pool bar not enough selection of drinks. Also we found the selection of food wasn't great. Also wasn't any ice lolly's snacks etc. We usually ate out in Ixia at lunchtime if we're hungry.
Smaller pool (downstairs from where you get breakfast) lovely pool we preferred here as it was a lot quieter. Again not great selection of drinks & didn't do any food or snacks at all.
Good base for exploring Greece. We loved Ixia lovely place quiet & lots of nice restaurants for dinner.
Not a bad hotel just feel there is some things they could improve on.
If we were back in Rhodes I don't think we would stay at this hotel again but that is personal choice. We dont usually stay in the same hotel. So many other hotels to stay in Ixia if we were to come back.
