We arrived late for check-in, but still before the required time. Upon arrival, we noticed that our room had not been cleaned at all. We found hair in the bed and shower, nails on the floor, dirt in the bathrooms, and dirty socks in the bedroom. We told the reception about this, and were told that nothing could be done that night and that we had to wait for the next day. In other words: they told us to sleep in a dirty bedroom with used bedsheets. Absolutely unacceptable service, nothing you would expect from a "5 star" hotel.

We had a "one bedroom villa with private pool and sea view". What that meant in practice was that the sea was barely visible from our balcony, nothing like what you see in the advertised pictures.

Also, be prepared for a lot of dead insects and dirt in your pool: they do not clean your pool. It was basically unusable the last days of our stay.

We asked for room service three days in a row, but were always told "they will come soon". They never came, and thus our room got filled with trash.

The "spa" consisted of a half full pool that we could not use, a cold hamam, and a small sauna. Massage was "not available".

On one of the last days of our stay, we received a note in the hotel telling us that loud music would play till 3 AM. We could not sleep, and were not told about this in advance.

Please save your money, this was worth nothing near the price you pay! These guys are not serious about their business, and you can get much more value elsewhere.

Stayed as a family of 4 for 9 days in mid August 2025, 2 adults and 2 children.

Positives:
Remote hill top location in Old Town Malia (10/10).
Villas with private 10m to 15m length pools (10/10).
Overall the teams were very helpful and did their best to support.
Amazing views of Malia from your balcony from the hill top location (10/10).
Notable mentions; Alexia at the front desk,
New lady in the restaurant from Romania, Male supervisor / manager who helped us after we got locked out of the villa with 2 keys at night.
Private pool chemical level being checked.
Met the new owner at dinner whilst the teams were stressfully trying to work out our bill for a new menu and he said he his aware of what they need to improve on and service is not were he wants it to be.

Negatives:
Attention to detail I.e. 1 bed was missing its top cover for the first 3 nights.
Very easy to lock yourself out of the villa because of the safety feature on the doors.
Service in the restaurant needs to be improved / missed opportunity from the hotel due to isolated location.
Catering options are very limited / Menu cards are confusing / Not clear what you have ordered and what you are paying for.
Nightly disturbances from staffing quarters into the early morning (stayed in villa 407).
No locks on the bathroom or toilet doors.
Hot water in the tap & shower is extremely boiling hot.
Toilet / Shower room on the lower floor in the 2 bedroom villas should have a solid divider as water gets everywhere.

Sehr netter und herzlicher Empfang durch Athena, die gute Seele vom Hotel.
Super Bedienung am Frühstück und Abendessen.
Kurze Taxifahrt ins Dorf Malia, oder man mietet ein Auto, um noch verschiedene schöne Strände zu erforschen. (Potamos Beach mit Kalyva Taverna sehr empfehlenswert)
Einen sehr lieber 3 Beiniger Kater hat uns im Hotel begleitet… für Kinder einfach unvergesslich.
Einzig am Abend läuft, für uns zu viel Folkloremusik.
Aussicht, Sauberkeit, Pool waren fantastisch!
Unbedingt buchen, wenn man nach Malia in die Ferien geht.

Le personnel est souriant agréable et à l écoute. La villa privé avec piscine est agréable dommage que les voisins des villas de l étage peuvent voir la piscine des autres voisins.

Jeg må først og fremst starte med å takke George som gjorde oppholdet vårt fantastisk. Dersom vi kommer tilbake skyldes veldig mye av dette George. George er noe helt for seg selv. Jeg gir selvsagt skryt til hele personalet som er svært vennlig, serviceinnstilt og hyggelig, men som sagt George er fantastisk fyr!

Hotellet hadde fantastisk beliggenhet med tanke på utsikt, veldig praktisk med gratis parkering om man skal leie en bil(anbefales), maten var god-men kunne vært bedre, rommene ble vasket veldig bra og var ellers veldig rene.

Det som jeg opplevde og som trekker en god del ned er at vi ofte ble vekket veldig tidlig på morgenen fordi de skulle klippe plenen eller gresset. Jeg forstår det er jobben deres, men jeg tenker de kunne ventet til kl 10 eller senere og ikke før 8. Man er tross alt på ferie for å sove litt ekstra :)

Wonderful place with great customer service. From checking in and until checking out the entire staff were very friendly, helpful and very professional. We will go back again.

le personnel accueillant que ca soit à l'accueil comme autour de la piscine et pour le petit déjeuner et le diner, ils étaient tous sympa jovial et à notre disponibilité.
Mais obligé de prendre une voiture (3 minutes) pour descendre en ville pour faire ses courses ou aller dans un bar et restaurant.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cet hôtel. Tout Le personnel est d’une sympathie inouïe. Les chambres sont spacieuses et la literie est confortable hormis le sofa convertible qui n’est pas fait pour un adulte d’un certain poids. On sent clairement la structure métallique.
Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié. Néanmoins dommage que le jus d’orange ne soit pas frais pour un pays ensoleillé et un hôtel d’un tel standing.
En revanche, les plats à la carte du restaurant sont très bons et très bien servis.
Dans l’ensemble c’est un très bon hôtel. Merci à Athina pour son accueil et toute son assistance lors de notre séjour.

Die Lage ist 10min vom Ort Malia entfernt. Es ist angenehm ruhig, alle Altersgruppen vertreten.
Ein wunderschöner Blick zum Ort Malia und auf das Meer. Diesen Ausblick kann man morgens von der Frühstücksterasse , aber auch vom Pool aus genießen. Die gesamte Anlage ist top gepflegt.
Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich und sehr bemüht.

Sehr gutes Hotel mit kleinen Schönheitsfehlern. Das Personal ist durchgehend sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und gepflegt, Aber in den Zimmern sind ein paar kleine Schönheitsreparaturen fällig und die Betten sind eines 5 Sterne Hotels nicht würdig. Genauso wie das Frühstücksbüffet (insbesondere der Kaffeeautomat (brrrr)), ausgenommen sind hiervon die guten frischen Crêpes (sehr nette Köchin, die auch kleine Extrawünsche erfüllt). Das Abendessen, umrundet von einer wahnsinnig schönen Aussicht über Malia auf’s Meer ist sehr gut!
Wir waren Ende Mai für eine Woche vor Ort und hatten die Anlage mit Pool fast für uns alleine.
Eines ist noch zu sagen: Wenn man vom Hotel weg möchte, ist unbedingt ein Auto von Nöten, da es auf einem kleinen Hügel ohne Busverbindung liegt! Und das schon alleine um die vielen Strände, Städte oder anderes Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden.
Alles in allem konnten wir uns super erholen und entspannen und das war unser Ziel. Also alles gut!
