Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool area was really lovely and location was great for exploring Chiang Mai. Room was clean.
Air con wasn’t great (but I think probably because the room was too big for it to be able to cool the room properly). Bed wasn’t the comfiest but was fine for the week we stayed. Shower wasn’t great - water pressure was intermittent and at one point the water just stopped altogether for a solid 5 minutes whilst I had shampoo on my hair.
Overall an alright place to stay if you’re just looking for a relatively inexpensive place to explore Chiang Mai from.
Truly is a serene hotel. Located in the southeast corner of Old City, it feels like you are in Thailand..Plenty of open air walkways, seating two infinity pools, and balconies for the rooms.
A lovely hotel in the old town area in Chiang Mai. The neighborhood is vibrant, yet the hotel offers quiet rooms and easy sleeping. The pool is great. The breakfast was acceptable, but not great. The service was it's excellent. The only comp!ain't was that the shower water temperature and pressure was intermittent and not reliable. we stayed for 5 nights and would stay here again.
Loved how easy it was to move around the old city. Bodhi is located walking distance from so many attractions. Would definitely stay here again.
Bodhi Serene is a beautiful hotel, 10 minutes (by car) from the airport and 15 minutes (by foot) away from the busy streets and night markets. In short, the location is excellent! The hotel is amazing and very tranquil. The rooms are very spacious which was really nice. The bathroom bad a large bathtub and shower, which you doesn't see often in hotels anymore. The only downsides were the best, which was really hard, and the breakfast. Breakfast was not completely to our liking (not too many options), but we don't mind as we like to grab some food at local restaurants.
The hotel was an oasis from the city and street traffic. Once we entered, the vibes were peaceful and serene with lush greenery in the inner courtyards. The room was large, clean and beautifully decorated.
This felt more like a 3 star hotel with some issues than a 4 star compared to other hotels we stayed at. Positive: very good location, spacious room, attractive building. Despite the proximity to alleged music clubs, there was no music even on the weekend and it was surprisingly quiet. The front desk staff was for the most part accomodating. Negative: we had a few bathroom issues: water was tepid and when we advised the hotel, we had a Fawlty Towers minute when the guy they sent up insisted it was hot. He then adjusted something under the sink and the situation improved but the pressure was not great. We had this huge round tub but we deemed it not usable because the faucet was not accessible for a person with a normal reach and there were no bars or anything and for climbing in and out I'd want a step ladder; who wants to successfully negotiate the Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail only to slip in the tub. There is only one coffee maker at breakfast and it is slow and the coffee isn't hot. Or good. Stick with the very decent instant in the room which comes with nice big mugs. The toast isn't hot. I saw people including me using the toaster conveyer multiple times to minimal effect. You can navigate your way to a decent breakfast but it takes thought and persistance. Try the scrambled eggs with the sauteed vegetables. The mattress is just OK. It's not hard as a rock and we slept fine but it's not as soft or comfortable as we were used to in four stars. We did not use the extra twin daybeds in the room for sleeping but they did not look comfortable. We did not use the pool so I can't comment on it. Bottom line: if the price is right and you want a step up from a hostel, you can make this work very well for you but we did not consider it a four star experience. You should think about not getting the breakfast.
It’s in a great location and our room was very spacious, but it’s very old and tired and needs a good cleaning, paint and some updates. I would not stay here again. Didn’t have hot water first morning and lock on door broke. They sent someone very quickly to fix though, just a hassle when we wanted to leave.
Lovely hotel, room and property with attentive staff in a convenient location.
The location is excellent, quiet yet close enough to walk to the action, and the hotel itself is quite pretty. The outside could be spruced up a little. Rooms are nice enough for the price you pay. First room had plumbing issues as every time next room flushed, i could hear it flushing in my room. Staff were responsive to my enquiries pre-arrival. I was able t check in a bit earlier which was a nice touch. I was unfortunately placed in a room between two parties who were friends with eachother and were running up and down outside to each others rooms, jumping up and down doing a dance party, nonstop knocking on eachother doors and slamming the heavy doors til gone 11pm on a Weds. Despite me ringing reception to ask them to deal with it, I ended up having to go and speak to the guests myself as the chaos continued. I asked to be moved the next morning when the door slamming continued the next morning and was moved downstairs and across from my original room, much quieter but unfortunately backed onto the restaurant so couldn’t use the balcony as it smelled of cooking and overlooked the staff entrance. Was not given a clothes aired at either room - I asked for the first room and gave up with the second room. Would have been nice to have been offered an upgraded room near my friend given the troubles, but I would have had to pay so I didn’t bother. The staff entrance door into the hotel was worryingly left open constantly so anyone could have walked in from the street into the hotel through that entrance. Breakfast is very basic here. People say in other reviews that you can ask for things that are not on the menu…we asked for more pancakes at 8am (which had been served the previous day, so clearly on the menu) and were told initially that there were no more. After some discussion with various colleagues we did eventually get them. On the final day, I was chased up by phone to vacate the room even though I was still within the timeframe to vacate. The stay was just ok, but it wasn’t the most expensive hotel so there you have it. You get what you pay for.
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with the family. This is a 3 star hotel by European standards. The rooms are a bit tired and the bed is possibly the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. We had a room next to the pond, which is nice in the day but the frog singing all night is challenging! Ask for a room away from this if you are a light sleeper. The breakfast is very basic compared to other hotels we stayed at. It is in a good location however and the staff are friendly.
Like many hotels in Thailand, the rooms feel like they could use better maintenance. However, overall, the experience was very positive. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was small but good (note that you can order items even if they aren't listed), and the location was excellent.
This place is a hidden gem! You would not know it from the outside red brick wall, but inside, it is a beautiful oasis of peace and tranquility. Carved wood architecture, staggered levels and ramps give it a great ambiance with lots of privacy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool area with snack and drink options was very convenient. We were within close range of a good variety of eating and bar options close to markets.
Lovely gardens and peaceful atmosphere.
This hotel was beautiful and serene like the name states. The staff were wonderful and the resort was beautiful. They even have a library room where you can find books in many languages and borrow or leave them for others. This hotel was convenient to lots of shopping, food, massage, and massage services. it was right across the street from a 7-11.
This place was nice. We picked it for the on-site pool and bar, but it closed at 7, which is pretty early, but great while it was open. The breakfast was fine and the rooms were nice.
1) provided only 1 room key when an extra key needed to keep the room cool. Customer had to deposit 100 bath for the 2nd key.
2) limited breakfast choices and similar food every day
3) overall room looked old and not well clean
4) disappointed with Doi Suthep sunrise tour booking with the hotel
The hotel and staff were amazing. The pool was nice but the chairs at the pool were old and worn. Beds are very firm along with pillows. Breakfast was good with decent selection. The noise with the toads on the property was crazy loud so earplugs would be needed if you need quiet to fall asleep.
Well maintained hotel . The room was spacious and lovely . Staff were friendly. Great location with lots of restaurants nearby .
Great location. Staff was so helpful and kind. Room was beautiful, just what I was looking for.
