Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara, North San Diego

We try to get out to the Four Seasons Aviara at least once a year and honestly, it never misses. The villas are huge which is great for the family, but the staff is really why we keep coming back. They’re always two steps ahead of whatever we need.

Huge shoutout for the new ROOMNET setup they added. Since we’re in a residence-style spot, we actually spend time hanging out in the room, so being able to just hop on Netflix or Disney+ without a massive headache was a total game-changer. Super intuitive and made our "in-villa" nights just as good as the pool days. Can’t wait for 2027!

This property is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are stunning, newly renovated, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. We stayed in a one bedroom villa and it was honestly incredible.

We’ve stayed at many five star hotels throughout Asia and have often felt disappointed by American hotels in comparison. This one completely changed that. From the moment we arrived, everything felt elevated, warm, and intentional.

We were welcomed with the cutest apple cider drink with a cinnamon stick. It was such a small touch but so thoughtful, and our kids loved it. We chose the water welcome, and the kids were also given two adorable little gift bags filled with toys. It made a huge difference and kept them happily entertained at the pool, in the villa, and even at the restaurant.

Walking into the room was a wow moment. Beautiful space, stunning views, and a lovely welcome spread with desserts, macarons, and chocolate chip cookies. Then I opened the fridge and found two cups of milk waiting for the kids, complete with their own kid cups. That detail alone says everything about how much thought goes into family stays here. We had also requested kids robes and slippers, which were provided and were absolutely adorable.

The baby pool was perfect. It’s only about a foot deep, which made it easy to relax and actually enjoy a cocktail while the kids played nearby. The lounge chairs were cushioned and comfortable, and pool service was great.

We truly loved our stay and would absolutely recommend. What stood out most was how genuinely well they treat children. I’ve never experienced this level of care and attention for kids, even at luxury hotels abroad. This is easily one of the best family friendly luxury stays we’ve ever had.

A relaxing getaway which feels like a home away from home. Staff is terrific, from housekeeping to reception to pools to restaurants. There are tons of activities and fun family friendly spots in the area. Location is excellent, close to San Diego, La Jolla, and a couple hours to LA. Spent many years coming here and will keep coming back. Amazing way to spend a vacation!

First time at this property. At check in, requested a quiet room and specifically without street noise, as we are going to be here for 2 weeks while having a medical procedure. Was told that would not be a problem, but ended up in a room facing Aviara Parkway which is very loud. All parts of the unit, including the bedrooms faces this main road.

Beware that almost all the buildings in the Summit Village face Aviara Parkway and all units in Buildings 17-24 would have to deal with the sound of cars whizzing by loudly during your stay. Summit Village seems to be where the majority of the units are located as the other two villages which seem like they would be much quieter have very few buildings.

I even had earplugs in last night (which of course they did not offer) and I could still hear the street noise. It's too bad because it's a nice property. But it's just not relaxing at all with the constant street noise. Nothing about the service jumps out as being extraordinary.

I visit Carlsbad regularly and this stay was by far the most enjoyable! The bedding was so clean and comfortable and the towels changed daily. The in room dining was delicious and the view was so lush. The staff was so polite & helpful as well!

Nice room

This is an unusual one as it had the Four Seasons brand, but it’s not a normal Four Seasons at all.

Think of it more of a residential apartment, self contained short term let (with daily housekeeping) than a Four Seasons and you’ll be fine.

The pool is more like a retirement village hang out than a full service Four Seasons property.

But once you’re past that, it’s ok.

The restaurant menu was uninspiring so didn’t opt to dine in the property, instead there are loads of Michelin recommended restaurants within 30 mins away so we had some great meals out.

It’s perfectly clean, very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. It’s just I struggle to call this a true Four Seasons.

Would I stay again? Probably not. But it was fine.

I loved staying here and recommend it to everyone! Worth every penny and the staff was amazing!

I always love coming to this peaceful place to stay. Norma Peirol, the Assistant Front Desk Manager, and the entire front desk team are always so friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back again soon!

Everything was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend the hotel and hope to return one day.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Four Seasons. We had a few hiccups but management was right on it with great customer service. Property was so beautiful, serene and quiet. We ate breakfast twice in the restaurant and the food was great. We definitely hope to be back one day.

Staffs are amazingly friendly and accommodating. Room is spacious and equipped with everything. Lots of spaces and counter top to put belongings. Highly recommend this property although it’s not near the beach.

The rooms were very comfortable. Nice balconies. Fresh and clean loved having a fridge and microwave bathroom was very well lit. Great access to free laundry room and powders. Excellent facilities. Nove gym. They have fresh fruit in the gym and they are very generous with water all over the property. They had someone who contacted by text if you needed anything. It was a brilliant stay.

Beautiful property with nice amenities and the staff were super kind and helpful to make our stay memorable.
