very easy place to stay and the bed was great, particularly because it is not 2 singles zipped together it is just one.

Pros:

Stunning historical house. Wayne and his wife are lovely people who make you feel at home. Perfect location for both city center and parks (at least for those who love a walk) Or you can house the bikes available for the hosts . On the other side of the street an excellent bakery and breakfast.

Our stay at Merivale Manor was everything we hoped for and more. The location in Merivale is fantastic—quiet enough for a peaceful retreat but close enough to enjoy the best of Christchurch.

The standout feature of this property is undoubtedly the hosts, Wayne and Karen. They are a lovely, friendly, and incredibly hardworking couple who go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome. Their dedication to the manor and their guests’ comfort is evident in every detail.

We stayed here fore 3 nights, and it was perfect. The room was spacious and elegantly decorated. It featured:

An exceptionally comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep.

A surprisingly quiet atmosphere, allowing us to fully unwind.

If you are looking for a blend of historical charm and modern comfort with a personal touch, I highly recommend Merivale Manor. We will definitely be back!

The owners were so friendly and helpful. The gorgeous Merivale shops are only a 5minute walk away, with plenty of great restaurants to choose from. Our stay was exceptional. The premium suite was simply gorgeous and well appointed, in the old homestead. The Hosts were exceptional, with the right balance of friendliness, attention to detail, whilst respectful of privacy. The beds and linen were comfortable and lovely to sleep in and the hosts make an exceptional flat white in the morning! you must go and get one from the office.
