What really stood out was Eric's warm, knowledgeable and helpful welcome - it was genuinely hospitable. This is a gorgeous little hotel tucked into a vibrant street in central Antwerp. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, and very peaceful and quiet - yet you could walk out the front of the hotel into the colourful hustle and bustle of this amazing city! We hadn't paid for breakfast but wish we had - it looked great.
The bathroom would benefit from an extractor fan.

La strada sottostante è molto rumorosa e le finestre non sono affatto insonorizzate: è stato difficile dormire.
Per salire alla stanza le scale sono molto ripide.

Zeer vriendelijke hoteleigenaar die ons tips gaf van de omgeving en een upgrade van onze kamer had gegeven. Het was een zeer prettige schone kamer. Geen last van omgevingsgeluiden. De hotel lag perfect gelegen in het centrum.
De gordijnen zijn aan vervanging toe, er zitten vlekken op. De buiten unit van de airco maakt veel geluid, als een centrifugeren wasmachine.

Vriendelijke man.
Verouderd. Niet altijd even proper. Veel stof op de houten balken. Vast tapijt en matten die hun beste tijd gehad hebben.
‘s morgens kon je choco en speculaaspasta nemen. Ipv kleine potjes te nemen waren dit grote potten die je kon meenemen naar je tafel. Potten waar iedereen al had ingezeten met zijn mes.. De eierkoker was zeer vies.

De uiterst centrale ligging en de kleinschaligheid. Een schone kamer met airco. Het heerlijke ontbijt op de schaduwrijke binnenplaats van dit 16e eeuwse pand. De heerlijke bedden.
Was een kadootje voor mijn ouders, van tevoren contact gehad met Eric, heeft alles gedaan om het hen comfortabel te maken. Ze hadden een topverblijf! Locatie, kamer en de gastvrijheid van Eric was allemaal top.

Ich war das zweite Mal im Matelote und war wie beim ersten Mal begeistert: Der Charme des Hotels, das Design der Zimmer, die exzellente Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Altstadt, trotzdem ist es ruhig, leckeres Frühstücksbuffet im historischen Innenhof.. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und die Zimmer haben eine gute Größe. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, ein öffentlicher Parkplatz befindet sich in fußläufiger Nähe. Nebenan liegt eine spitzen Ramen Bar und vieles mehr. Alles perfekt!!
Die Schreibtischoberfläche im Zimmer Nr. 2 könnte mal wieder einen Anstrich vertragen. Die Farbwahl im gesamten Zimmer ist wunderschön.
Heel centraal in een drukke stad, maar in hotel en op de kamer merk je daar niets van. Je komt echt tot rust.
Vloer kraakt als op de verdieping erboven iemand loopt, maar dat kan bijna niet anders in zo'n oud pand.
