Техника довольно старая, у телика еле-еле выходил звук при 100% включении звука. Фен старенький, слабо сушит. Диван был грязный, не хотелось на него садиться - думаю стоит сделать химчистку. WI-fi временами не работал или плохо ловил сигнал.

Do not stay at this property if you value the security of your financial information. My experience with Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich has been a nightmare defined by unauthorized transactions, administrative deflections, and a complete lack of corporate accountability.
Two weeks after my checkout, this hotel processed an unauthorized manual charge on my credit card for a significant amount. This was done without my consent, without a signature, and without any prior notification. It was only discovered because I personally audited my bank statements. General Manager Jeffery only responded 48 hours after an escalation email to his superior Markus Keller, despite the fact that he had the information 24 hours earlier.
When I demanded an explanation, the management team (including the General Manager) blamed a "Visa/Bank System Upgrade." This is a convenient excuse to shift the blame. By blaming an external system, they are intentionally evading the core security flaw: Why is sensitive guest card data retained in their system in a way that allows manual settlements to be processed weeks after departure? The most disturbing part of this ordeal has been the response from Accor’s leadership. I escalated this matter strictly through the hierarchy—from the hotel management to the Greater China executives and even to the Global CEO for a period of 17 days.
For 17 days, I have been met with absolute silence. This is how much they "care" for guest data security.
This is a clear strategy of stonewalling. They are playing a "waiting game," betting that a guest will eventually tire of the lack of response and go away. For a brand that touts a "Charter of Trust," this total disregard for a Platinum guest's data security is a staggering failure of integrity.
Conclusion: A 5-star hotel should provide peace of mind, not financial anxiety. If Sofitel Guangzhou and Accor Management cannot provide a transparent explanation for unauthorized manual charges and a 17-day failure to communicate, they cannot be trusted with your data. Avoid this property until they can demonstrate actual compliance with PCI DSS standards and basic professional courtesy.
I booked this hotel because of the excellent comments on TripAdvisors. The hotel is centrally located at Tianhe District. It has the glamour of an international class hotel with magnificent building design and high ceiling lobby, 30 storeys high. However, since I arrived hotel lately, there was no one helping me unload my luggage (I heard this unhappy experience from another guest also when I checked out the next day). The room itself was very spacious (I was on 27/F) with a huge toilet with separate shower and bath tub. My requests were all accommodated and attended. I could have a nice sleep on the king-sized bed. However, I would like to comment that the room’s light switches were not easy to find when entering the room. I did have difficulty in locating them when I opened the room door all dark with my luggage.
Is a pleasant surprise staying in Sofitel Guangzhou. I expected it to feel old, but the hotel is actually well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and service met international standards. The bed was medium-firm and comfortable — not overly hard like many local hotels. A reliable and enjoyable stay overall.
