A damage deposit of CNY 800 per night is required on arrival. That's about 913.34HKD. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property.

Check-in between 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Extra half-day room charge will apply.

Comfortable room and helpful staff
The staff were very friendly. The reception and concierge were fast and very helpful. I asked for several types of assistance and they handled everything efficiently.
Breakfast was perfect / staff at the entrance showed free tables, so no need to look around for searching / everything I tried was delicious.
Location is OK, taxi is always neasr the hotel, no need.
Room size is OK for two couple / bath room is nice
Sometimes we could smell cigarettes, which was unpleasant.

Exceptional service from the bellboys/porter near the main entry door who willingly to help us with booking our high speed train and with our internet services as both of our ESIM doesn’t work in China due to their Government restriction on foreign phone/APP.
Poor communication as not all staff can speak English especially at 988 Cafe restaurant I was been poorly treated and yell by their sour chef when I ask them about the menu in English or asking them for a spoon. Some of them spoken to me quite rudely when I ask them for help just because I don’t speak their language. It would help if most of their menu written in English and not just Chinese especially Sofitel is an International Brand Hotel, service should be world class standard especially for 5 Stars and for the price we’ve paid to stay.
What I have noticed as well, the restaurant also allowed other walk in tour bus to eat in at the same restaurant where they show manner and different culture standard, just because I looks Asian I have been mistaken as one of them.
Thanks God their Head Chef can speak English otherwise there was no hope for me. I could have eaten at the Executive Lounge but their food was so limited and mostly very basic western food.
