Pros:

The location was good we walked to the city to visit the botanic gardens, art gallery and city centre. We also walked to restaurants in Riccarton Road. The staff were very responsive to our request for an extra blanket for the bed and another bath mat.

Cons:

The bathroom was cold - it needed a heater. The shower was also over the bath which never a favourite. The shower curtain caused the bathroom floor to flood. A bedside lamp would have been handy.

The room was certainly down-market, but it had location and was clean.
Pros:

Location was great, as it was walkable distance to the centre of Christchurch. The room was adequate.

Cons:

Everything seemed a little tired and could do with renovation. The facilities were minimalist, e.g., only 2 of everything (cutlery, crockery, chairs).

Value for money and friendly place in a good location. Who could want more?!
Pros:

Friendly welcome. Room access good. Rooms a little basic - not a complaint, a reality given age and price. But clean and bed comfortable.

Cosy, clean, superb location - would stay here again
Pros:

Fantastic location, plenty of parking, comfortable bed

Cons:

Only had Freeview TV options and you could stream from your phone. The room was a bit was a bit dated, but that is reflected in the price

Cons:

Hot water wasn’t working in our room on the first night so we were given another room for the following night but had to wait until 2pm for the room. Felt we should have had access a room the whole time of our stay since we paid for 2 nights.

Friendly staff and clean facilities. Comfort level of bed was okay.
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unit was clean. Linen was clean and fresh. Heater was effective in warming up the room.

Cons:

Bed was a bit soft - a bit of roll together going on. The armchair was also overly soft - ie worn springs in the seat. Only one arm-chair and one desk chair which wasn't idea for a couple - resulting in limited seating when eating in the unit.

It was fine for a night in chch. The facilities were clean however another blanket would have been good.
