The staff were friendly
Our room here was really bad. Chipped furniture, stained carpets, bad wall paper, peeling paint, the shower was not attached to the wall and no soap to wash our hands after using the toilet. The price was increased dramatically because there was a concert in the local area.
I feel a little mean scoring the hotel as poor, but it is not cheap, it is very tired, and our room was about 40 degrees all night. The hotel cannot be held responsible for the awful heat we are currently enduring, and I feel for the poor souls that have to clean the rooms. The wi fi is excellent, the shower adequate, JUST, and the light on the bathroom mirror will not go off.
The location, and parking, when you find it, are a bonus, and the staff at reception were very good.
The carpets are tired, the walls dirty, the. Price per night is too high.
Great location
Too hot
Good value, comfortable room.
We stayed one night for a cruise.
Room is very small and smelly.
just would like a hair dryer
Nothing only location
Shabby, furniture falling to bits - the rooms felt totally grubby. The duvet was clean but the shabby room made you not want to be there.
Could not bring my self to use the shower .
Absolutely would not recommend this hotel. Give it a minus.
However, the reception staff were very nice.
The location
No air conditioning
The location was excellent for the history and the pedestrian mall. The staff worked very hard and all were friendly.
It was the hottest day ever in the UK, and there was only one fan per room and no AC...
Location for access to the city.
Very basic and extremely tired decor and furniture. Functional at best.
Last minute booking for a gig, so location was great. Room was clean but a bit tiered
June heatwave meant it was boiling.. Bathroom had no extractor and the window would not open so was an oven. Had to have the window open in the bedroom, as we were overlooking the street, was very noisy all night
Also, I've never had to put a deposit for breakage and theft down before!
Emme voineet yöpyä hotellissa koska se ei ollut yöpymiskelvollinen.
En mistään.
Near to Guildhall, clean and had character. Staff are all lovely
Could do with areas sprucing up - corridors etc but I think they are on the process of that
Good, quiet room. Almost all we needed. Just could use a hair dryer.
It's very historic and has a quaint charm about it. Like a step back in time. Our room (9) was clean with two comfortable beds. The TV worked well but only with apps, not cable. We just watched BBC for the most part. The location is excellent. Two grocery stores close by and the Westquay mall is only a short walk away. We walked to the Mayflower Park by the ferry terminal. It was nice to sit by the ocean and people watch.
Lots of different places to eat offering a variety of cuisines.
Also surrounded by the history of the place...remnants of the old castle walls.
The room needed a hair dryer, a face cloth and some cream rinse.
