Room size, location, friendly staff
No table lights, no hairdryer.

Confusing twists and turns of halls...can't fix as the building is really old.
It was close to the harbour for the cruise and located in the centre the manager was friendly and helpful cheap and able to park while time for the cruise at a good price
It was extremely run down we were ‘upgraded’ but the room was not great at all, the rooms were extremely dated and paint was peeling off the wall mirror was hanging off the wall and coming apart beds were uncomfortable. My friend woke up with bites after sleeping in the bed I slept in a separate bed and did not have any.

Great location in the centre of Southampton. Friendly staff. Fan in the room. Tea and coffee facilities. Large TV. Good toiletries in the bathroom and nice toilet paper.
Room 8 was very tired. The bathroom walls were covered in peeling paint. The sinks cold tap was so loose it was almost impossible to turn it on and the glass shelf above sloped so much everything just fell into the sink. The bath plug chain was broken. The shower had a cover piece missing, the shower head was very small so not much water flow and nowhere to put the soap or shower gel other than the floor if you could reach it. Only 2 of the 3 light bulbs worked in the bedroom and the bed closest to the window had a mattress that dipped in the middle. Old water was left in the kettle and the plug socket was loose. The carpet didn't seem like it had been hoovered as there were bits that stuck to your feet. The TV remote was very temperamental. They fogot to leave any towels in the room and the toast we ordered at breakfast.

Room was hot and a bit smelly. Had to have the window open as it was a fairly warm day, but there were huge vents outside the window which were noisy. Also a drain pipe that was continously dripping. Not a pleasant view either

Was a former old coaching and therefore had character rather than modern facilities. Was very hot on the room
Location. The staff were so personable and friendly. The owner was around many times to make sure we had everything we needed!! So lovely!
