Hotel Krystal

Not recommended to anyone! Everything was old, dirty and non functional! Lights not working, no ventilation in the bathroom, broken mattress, smelly room, dirty balcony with no chairs, the carpet dirty and full of stains, tight shower with dirty shower curtain, dirty half hanging curtains, balcony shutter stuck, flimsy rusted cloth hangers, included breakfast seemed of debatable hygiene and we skipped it. The only plus was the receptionist friendliness and the a/c that was half working! Will not stay in this hotel again! Sleep on the beach instead if no other accommodation is available! Oh and one more thing, the posted room pictures are fake!!!

Hotel posto in zona centrale e a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione degli autobus. Stanza semplice, pulita e con tutto il necessario per un gradevole soggiorno. Il personale della reception è stato gentilissimo. Wi-Fi funzionante. Dalla stanza una splendida vista sul mare, sul porto e sulla città. Colazione buona.

Every facilities was very old, and also not perfekt clean. Very simble... But even for it a good price...

Petit déjeuner continental très copieux. Hotel un peu vétuste. Propre avec frigo mais pas de bouilloire. Balcon aperçu mer et port de sitia. Très proche centre et restos.

L'hotel si trova in posizione molto centrale, personale disponibile e cordiale. Ottima reception aperta 24/24h.

Das Hotel macht auf den ersten Blick einen guten Eindruck. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich, zuvorkommend und offen. Der Eingangsbereich wirkt ansprechend, ebenso die Lobby bzw. der Frühstücksbereich. Betritt man aber die Zimmer, befindet man sich in einer anderen Welt... Derart heruntergekommene Möbel, angestoßen und in einer undefinierbaren Farbe gestrichen... Die Badezimmertür innen teilweise weggefault aufgrund der Feuchtigkeit... Das Bad so eng, dass man es nur betreten kann indem man in die Dusche steigt... Beim Duschen setzt man unweigerlich das komplette Bad uner Wasser - das ist für Griechenland nicht unüblich und in Ordnung, allerdings läuft hier das Wasser kaum ab. Die Lichtverhältnisse sind katastrophal, es hängen überall nur Funzeln. Es gab genau ein Handtuch pro Person, kein kleineres für die Haare, geschweige denn einen Badezimmerteppich. Das Unangenehmste aber war der Teppichboden, knüselig, angestückelt, uralt und unter dem Bett schmutzig.
Positiv: ein sauber bezogenes Bett, allerdings eine fleckige Tagesdecke.
Ein weiteter Pluspunkt war der kleine Balkon, dabei wären ein kleines Tischchen und vielleicht 5 Wäscheklammern auf der vorhandenen Wäscheleine von Vorteil gewesen.
Alles in allem ist das Hotel ein Ort, von dem ich definitiv sehr enttäuscht bin, wobei ich ausdrücklich das tolle Personal ausnehmen möchte. Die können definitiv nichts für den schlechten, teilweise unzumutbaren Zustand des Hotels. Dies geht an den Hotelinhaber!

With my family we visited and stayed in Krystal Hotel from 9 to 11 July. It is an old fashioned hotel with big rooms, gentle receptionist. It is situated 100m from city centre. The breakfast was rather poor but the whole impression is positive.

The rooms need a good clean and the whole hotel a makeover. The coffee was cold at breakfast so that we had to go out to a cafe. One of the receptionists was delightful, the other somewhat stroppy! I really would not recommend it, there are plenty of other places to stay. My friend's shower soaked the floor every day as the holder for the shower head was not properly fitted, we complained and eventually they did something about it which made it worse!

This was 1 of the cheapest places I could find in Sitia so of course I knew not to expect much. Location is central, easy walk to/from the bus station, harbor and town. 1 big downside is no wifi in the room. I was also missing a bin - There's a fridge in the room so surely it's expected that people will be bring food/drink into the room and need somewhere to place that trash. Krystal is fine for 1 night but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer.

Utmärkt hotell i en mycket trevlig stad. Bra läge. Frukosten OK (men det var väldigt varmt i frukostmatsalen).

The room was a little bit small, but clean with kinda nice view. Hotel offers breakfast for 5 euros. The street was loud, but not that much that you couldn't sleep. Hotel service is nice and helpful. If you wanna be in the centre of Sitia in not so expensive hotel this is a great choice.

If you need a bed in Sitia this is perfect. Friendly staff. Large breakfast room with wifi. Near the palm tree promenade. 41 rooms. Modern conventional decor. Sitia is in the shape of an amphitheatre with a glorious bay. A lot of French people live in Sitia and it is a French tourist destination. Links with their past history.

Lage mitten in der Stadt wäre wirklich wunderschön wenn der Lärm der zwar wenigen aber, meist laut bergauffahrenden Motorräder nacht nicht wäre.
Service sehr freundlich.

terrible room…shabby, very uncomfortable bed, noisy…doors slamming at 2/3/4 am, street noise all night; no shower curtain.

It was pur 9th night in Crete, every night a different hotel... this hotel is so bad: old with old smell old room and so bad disgusting bathroom. Breakfast normal and nothing special. WiFi only in the very smelly hall :( Sitia is a place horrible and we are loving Crete so much! We 35 euro one night middle of october .

It is a nice hotel in a very convenient location. Just 1' walk from all the stores by the sea. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
If you are looking for a hotel in the center of Siteia so you do not need a car this is one of them.
Do not have any high expectations in terms of quality but it is a good value for money hotel in a good location. Even though there is breakfast in the price I can't comment as I was out every night and never wake up on time (they do serve late breakfast).

I would recommend it especially for friends or solo travelers.

It's cheap but its almost neglected.very dirty with old furniture and half-broken.the only good thing is that is down town.the service doesnt exist.use it just in case that you need one bed to sleep and nothing else

We spend two nights in Krystal Hotel which is located in the centre of the town. we did not need move our car cause everything was near the Hotel. Our room had a beautiful view to the port and the palm trees! For its price has the best value! Definitely we will stay there again as soon as visit Sitia!
