Overcharged ~50 EUR by hotel/Booking collaboration

Very clean room. Very professional and kind room service staff.
Nice and kind personnel (though not willing to solve the overcharging issue).

Cons:

I was overcharged ~50 EUR when canceling a night (inside the free cancel period).
This hotel uses booking.com as one of their agents to sell stays.

Booking says the hotel is responsible.
Hotel says that Booking is responsible.
Both acknowledge the situation, both nobody reimburses.

Since the hotel contracted Booking as their agent, it should be responsible of the whole business process.
Sad and disappointing situation.

Internet: poor. During my 4-day stay the connection was intermittent and often extremely slow.
Sustainability: The hotel relies heavily on single-use plastics, which is disappointing today. The room had shameful plastic water bottles, plastic trash bags, and disposable coffee cups. Conscious hotels provide filtered water and reusable cups, and clean the bins instead of using polluting single-use plastic bags..
Maintenance issues: The sink did not drain properly. The shower hose could not rotate, making it difficult to direct the water.
Overall, the hotel would benefit from improving both basic checks and sustainability practices.
Regarding the overcharging issue, it definitely needs to be solved.
