Heerlijk bed. Stille kamer met uitzicht op de tuin.

Duur voor wat je krijgt. Geen glaasje prosecco of cava verkrijgbaar bij de bar.

Es un Hotel de epoca..A imi parecer demasiado caro.para lo que esperaba.Las habitaciones daban a ventanas y un fondo de piso.Pense.que por el.precio tendriamos otra vista y lo plantee al.Hotel.por.mensajes que uds pueden corroborar.Gracias

La vista de la habitación..una vista encerrada.Vuelvo a decir extremadamente caro para mi ..abone por.ese hotel lo.mismo.que abone por otros tres hoteles de este.mismo viaje..los cuales todos eran excelentes..Gracias.

Teleurstellend verblijf.

Ons verblijf was helaas teleurstellend om meerdere redenen. Het matras in de kamer was volledig doorgelegen, met twee grote kuilen, wat het slapen onaangenaam maakte en met pijn in de rug tot gevolg! Daarnaast was de kamer zeer stoffig (overal stof, radiatoren, koffiezet, bijzettafeltje, venster…) en het bad niet proper. De clubzetel in de kamer was beschadigd, met gescheurde stof, wat een onverzorgde indruk gaf.

Ook het inclusief ontbijt viel tegen: voor eenvoudige bereidingen zoals een spiegelei of roerei moest extra betaald worden. Slechts één koffie was inbegrepen; voor elke volgende koffie werd een supplement aangerekend, wat niet in verhouding staat tot de prijs van het verblijf en dit voor een SLH hotel?

De zogenaamde “superior room” bood totaal geen uitzicht – we keken letterlijk uit op een muur! Tot slot verliep de check-in erg traag…

Al met al voldoet dit verblijf niet aan de verwachtingen die worden gewekt.

Cama e travesseiros muito bons

Cons:

Café da manhã muito ruim, pouquíssimas opções, não continha nem os itens básicos incluídos como qualquer outro hotel. Ex: sem omelete (somente pago à parte).
Quarto muito quente, não tem ar-condicionado!
Hotel é um prédio antigo bem cuidado, no caso você vai ouvir os passos do andar de cima.
Valor da estadia elevado pelo que oferece.

Only a one night stay wish it could have been longer. Pleasant company at the bar. Staff was great

The room was awesome. We overlooked the fabulous garden. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was complete with tub and great shower.

Overpriced
Pros:

Great central location with their best asset being welcoming and friendly staff, particularly the young lady from Alicante.

Cons:

Avoid room 20, which ironically is classed and overpriced as an "outstanding" room. Impossible to exaggerate how steep and narrow the final flight of stairs is.
Also not a fan of an open plan bedroom with both shower and bath in situ.
And lost an expensive night's sleep with noisy check-in after 1 am of the neighbouring room but I reckon the combination of dangerously steep stairs and luggage was enough of a shock.
Bottom line is the Canal House is overpriced for what it delivers and fails to deliver.
