Good hotel in central Beijing
Pros:

This Hotel is located in a quiet and safe area of Beijing, I walked around the hotel and found plenty of stores, ATM, and restaurants. A big Mall (Shopping Center is next to the hotel). You are just 15 or 20 minutes by taxi to main city atractions (Forbidden city, Lama Temple, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace). The hotel has an excellent gym and a swimming pool. Superb breakfast buffet. Served on the 6th floor. Dinner available too in the evening. Special thanks to Mia Dong in reception desk, she was super helpfull and kind. I stayed in the 16th floor.

Pros:

I originally stayed at The St Regis and it was horrible. Switched to Crowne Plaza and it was so much better, and cheaper! Only bad thing is that they never pick up the phone for in room dining. 100% of the times I had to go down to the restaurant to place my order.

Pros:

The location was right inside a mall which was convenient.
The bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was big enough to get ready inside.

Cons:

The staff who picked the phone for guest relations and answered in English was rude and judgemental..

We stayed 3 nights. When we checked in the shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion etc were all empty and not refilled even after the room was cleaned the next day.
The bedsheet was torn.
The items were replaced only after complaining at front desk.

- Good location (on average 20 mins by taxi to all main site seeing locations + subway station within walking distance).
- Hotel has direct access to the mall with plenty of restaurants and shops.
- Good breakfast with mix of European and local cuisine.
- Rooms are large enough and windows can be opened.
- Comfortable beds.

Cons:

- English is not well spoken, but manageable with translation apps.
- We had three rooms booked and in one the room cleaning was mediocre (bed not done, coffee not refilled)
- Lobby area lacks sitting options.

Pros:

We had a wonderful three‑day stay at the Crowne Plaza Beijing U‑Town, all the staff were helpful and Mr. Troy Hou in particular, he went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. He surprised my little boy with a panda toy, and decorated the room with a child‑friendly theme. These thoughtful touches made our stay truly memorable. He also helped us smoothly extend our stay by an extra night, which we appreciated greatly.

The hotel itself is modern, clean, and very comfortable. The swimming pool is a lovely bonus - spacious, well‑maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day out in the city. The location is convenient, with easy access to shops and restaurants in U-town shopping center. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We felt genuinely cared for, and we would happily return. Highly recommended.
