Great for family celebrations
Pros:

A beautiful place by the riverside. It's pretty big but nicely managed. The room is spacious and well equipped. Nice and clean pool. We celebrated our son's birthday here and they provided a nice complementary cake. Overall, great hotel for a pleasant and relaxed 1 or 2-night stay

Great hotel on the river bank in Kandy
Pros:

Stayed as part of a short tour of Sri Lanka and this was a great hotel. A bit out of the centre of Kandy but easily accessible and lovely facilities, especially the pool.

The staff at Hotel Cinnamon, Kandy was extremely courteous, polite, sincere and dedicated to ensuring guests' comfort. Lounging by the Mahaweli Ganga
Pros:

Beautifully situated by the Mahaweli Ganga river: watching kingfishers hunt as we lounge on the terrace! Breakfast buffet had large variety: Sri Lankan, Indian and European favourites. The chicken curry was delicious. Sasi was our waiter and was always on hand to fill our cups with fresh coffee and refreshing Ceylonese tea. Rooms large with balconies overlooking the river. Entertainment every night and lots of games (pool table, fussball, ping pong etc.) to help mingle with the other guests. Made plenty of new friends here. A short ride into Kandy.
