Nice hotel spoiled by the short sighted attitude to using cash.
Pros:

Room was clean and comfortable with good TV channels available. Plenty of parking.

Cons:

THIS HOTEL DOESN'T TAKE CASH. So had to go down the road for breakfast.

Pros:

Comfortable rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Handy location in West Auckland. Neighboring gastropub great feed. Quite dated rooms but perfectly tidy and comfortable. Met expectations.

Bit dated. Adjoining block could do with a tidy up.

we ent to Auckland to celebrate a 100th birthday so didnt use the room very much

Lovely room. Booking sites need updating on current facilities.
Pros:

Lovely big room , comfortable bed. Balcony. Nice area. TV good. The pub and restaurant was good.

Cons:

I thought breakfast was very poor for a four star. I only had one and ate out in local cafe after that. The website said swimming pool and gym but it turned out these were not on site and just had a token for entry. Other attractions described as local were up to an hour and a half walk. Presumably it was assumed everyone would have a car I did not.

Cons:

I’ve never stayed somewhere with bedbugs before this. My legs and feet as well as the other person who slept in a separate bed were eaten alive. Across the street from a school so traffic and noise is a lot

The aircon was noisy
The refrigerator woe noisy
There was a weared tinging and clunky noise ever 10min or so.
The pillow was hard as a rock.
So i didnt get any sleep.
