Halcyon Hotel Residences Koramangala - Bangalore

It was all calm there and have a relaxing atmosphere

I'm writing this review from the standpoint of an American visiting: I came with my family, and we stayed for about a week.

Great:

1. Koramangala is just chock full of wonderful dining options that are simply amazing (both Indian and non-Indian), and is overall really centrally located within Bangalore.

2. The staff - The first thing that comes to mind is the wonderful host of 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' -- all of the staff was so kind, friendly and overly helpful. The manager went over and beyond to help us out of a pickle we made in a reservation which could have cost us a lot of $.

3. The food. Don't plan to come back skinny. The breakfast is A1 First class. A wide array of south Indian tiffins exist. There's always Dosa to order, Idli, Sambar, Chutney, as well as rotating tiffin like Pongal, Poori etc. Plus filter coffee of course.

4. The cleanliness. The cleaning staff did an unreal job to the point where if I walked around my room/apartment barefoot all the time, I got into the bed feeling clean feet still.

5. Gym is great!

Negative:

1. The property is older, and it does show. If you're wanting the Taj, this isn't it. This said, the cleaning staff does their absolute best to make sure that you still feel like it's quite clean all of the time.

2,. There are functions sometimes which can be loud if you're a very light sleeper (granted: we visited during Xmas party season, and it didn't bother me -only my wife.

Overall a great experience with affordable price in the area for a quiet area experience. Mostly used by business visitors and has condos which are kept in good condition all the time. Staff is co-operative and is always there to help you. Connectivity to airport, city centre and happening places is great.

Some of the things you might want to check before you get in
- Keep nagging the property to prepare your room in advance as mine was not ready even after check-in time of 2PM.
- Breakfast is same everyday with just 1-2 items replaced
- Amenities need to be validated before check-in. For e.g. property details page shows Hair Dryer, Digital Locker but none was present. Not even a chair was available in the room to be honest. Had to arrange the things myself

Good and helpfull staff. I got a tiny room on the ground floor. AC was placed in a bad spot and very loud. Beds were way too soft and not comfortable. Otherwise tidy and good service when help was needed.
Breakfast was very simple and basic.

The hotel was clean, safe to stay, good staff members.

Great stay. I’ve stayed here many times and the service levels are consistently good!

As the title says good service apartments, close to many Restaurants, bars, malls etc. Staff were very friendly and paid attention when asked for help. The place can be kept little more nicely overall. My family had good time at this place.

ok. IIt was a decent experience. It felt a little old.

God experience. Was there for one day. Mostly resting. Food in the restaurant downstairs was very good and economical. Staff was well attending and pleasing.

I HAVE BOOKED THIS APRTMENT FOR MY 2 WEEK STAY WITH MY FAMILY FOR JANURAY ,2010. THE EXPERIENCE OF STAY WAS VERY GOOD .THE KIND OF SPACE THEY PROVIDE IN TWO BED ROOM IS DEFINETLY VALUE FOR MONEY,BLEND OF COMFORT AND LUXURY.

TO MY SURPRISE THE SERVICE APRTMENT HAS SERVCIE STANDARDS OF ANY STAR HOTEL AND WITH ALL THE HOTEL FACILITIES . THE BUFFET BREAKFAST IS WELL SPREAD .THE CILANTRO RESTAURANT AND 24 HRS COFFEE SHOP SERVES GOOD EURO INDIAN DISHES.
