Marriott Vacation Club, South Beach

We love this hotel. It has such a boutique feel and is well equipped and clean. We made use of the beach trolley with all you need to have a relaxing day on a fabulous beach which is literally over the road. So many plus points to this property and very helpful welcoming staff. You are on the front with so many restaurants and bars to choose from - a genuinely brilliant hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Marriott Vacation club! The close proximity to the beach was exactly what I desired from my stay in Miami Beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms and lobby were very clean. The 5th floor terrace was also a great place to chillout and take in the scenery. Would Highly Recommend a stay here!

I spent a night at this MVC location before embarking on a Norwegian cruise out of PortMiami. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, since the property is on the smaller side compared to other MVC locations, but overall I thought it was an excellent value and really liked the boutique feel. It’s conveniently located in the heart of South Beach, right across from the beach and a couple blocks north of the Versace Mansion. Despite its size, it has many familiar MVC amenities like complimentary laundry, bicycles, and a schedule of guest activities. Perhaps the best offering was a complimentary beach cart in the guest room that included Tommy Bahama chairs; I had never seen this offered before, but I thought it was fantastic. In the evening hours they had an included happy hour with a variety of drink options, which I really enjoyed. The building also has a rooftop seating area that overlooks Ocean Drive and some of the ocean; I liked the plaque on the rooftop about the history of the building.

I booked the standard king guest room and was surprised by how spacious the room was - they probably could’ve fit a second king bed in there. When I checked in, the front desk agent told me I had a really nice room and she thought I would enjoy it; when I opened the door, I was shocked to find my room had a large balcony overlooking the rooftop area with a slight view of the ocean in the distance. Since I didn’t even realize balconies were an option at this property, it was definitely a pleasant surprise. Both the room and bathroom were nicely decorated; the room included a fridge and microwave, as well as dishes. There were complimentary water bottles provided, as well as a nice little welcome gift for Marriott status; this was a small gesture that was much appreciated and added to the boutique atmosphere of the property. As mentioned above, the beach cart in the room was a game changer. Overall, I thought this MVC offered a great return for the money spent and would definitely keep it in mind for the future.

High pressure sales experience. They wanted a decision right on the spot. When I declined their offer their sales person got very huffy with me. Then the Manager stopped by and walked me through 3 other offers they had.

Would not recommend them to anyone. The location I stayed at was OK - no restaurant on site - only served finger food. Only 1 night of entertainment available during our entire stay.

Very nice rooms. Small…but this is not a huge vacation club, more a converted hotel. Pleasant staff. They do lots of things for guests like free drink happy hour on the terrace, free Cuban food tastings and free mimosas. Starbucks coffee station is in the lobby in the morning. Right across from South Beach. Lots of restaurants nearby. Valet parking available for $50/day. The information online is a bit confusing about getting to the valet, but Ocean Drive in front of the hotel is open for one way traffic, so approaching from 15th street gets you right in front for luggage drop off and to hand over the car to valet.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room spacious and nicely decorated.Great location. Daily activities (happy hour, salsa dancing)were a way to meet other guests.

Lovely hotel, highly recommend.

It is on South Beach but wasn't too noisy as its at the end. Stunning building and the room was immaculate. literally across the road from the beach so don't listen to the reviews saying its miles away! They have a beach buggy in each room with all you need for a beach visit.

Coffee supplied in the mornings downstairs in the lobby was much appreciated. Nice bar downstairs with a cuban restaurant.

We had an issue with our air con but they put a mobile air conditioning unit in as they couldn't fix it. It was noisy but did its job.

My only niggle was the lady who was trying to sell us some kind of holiday club but claiming to be there 'to give us vouchers etc' we were in Miami for one night and didn't want to waste a second so I refused and she wasn't very impressed....

Otherwise - lovely hotel and we would visit again.

The beach cart with the chairs and the umbrella in the cooler. I think that was so wonderful so convenient to use so much easier the staff was very nice.

Great location and view of the beach.

My brother and I stayed here for a post-cruise/ birthday stay from Sept. 21-23 . Check in was quick and easy. We were able to check in early as we were just coming off of a cruise. Front desk staff was wonderful. Upon arriving in our villa, I was surprised to have a birthday basket full of treats and a birthday card! How nice was that? There was a beautiful view of the beach from the window. The beach is right across the street. There is a relaxing area on the 5th floor. There are lots of restaurants and other hotels in the area and within close distance. There is also a Walgreens about a block from the hotel. The evening tastings as well as afternoon tastings are really nice and add a nice touch to the stay. Thanks, Miriam, etc. They are also lots of fun and a great way to meet other guests and staff. There is a laundry area with two washers and two dryers that are free for guests to use.
This was our second stay. We visited the same time of year last year. I'm looking forward to the next.

Everything was great MVC did an amazing job to make sure we were comfortable. Reason for the 4 stars is I think the valet parking was pricey but the guys did a great job
