The Cooks Oasis

Great location with Black Rock beach 50 metres away. Clean rooms, free wifi is excellent and plunge pool onsite. Parking is free. Perfect spot for our 9 day stay. Highly recommend

The staff's friendliness, including Marianne and Weiss (?), is commendable. The Wi-Fi is good and it's located near the beach, right at the end of the driveway.

The whole sad story was rejected. Not sure why. One star, because of the way we were treated.

A beautiful lodge with nice decoration, amenities and large room. Staff are very friendly. I requested for additional banana from the Chambermaid and on the following day, she gave me a bunch. Very thoughtful of her. Well located near the beach and you can enjoy sunset.

Close to my whanau at edgewater the ambience and the friendly hosts i enjoyed every moment in paradise ...hmm what didnt i like leaving and coming back to nz for work

Cooks Oasis has wonderful friendly hosts, has clean well sized rooms. We were well looked after and appreciate the hosts extra efforts 😄 ⭐️

A bit tired. Shower door fell off. Now being refurbished. Lovely manager.

It’s always a pleasure staying here. This trip I was in Villa 4. It was great. I’ll request that one in the future being able to self cater is such a plus. Bed is comfy. Everything is clean and quiet.

The staff were simply sensational, they went out of their way to assist you where ever they could.
The only downfall with the establishment is that in the room that we originally booked I didn’t check that it had air conditioning as I must assumed that in 2025 all rooms at that price would have air conditioning especially as the Cook Islands.
When we arrived due to the heat the staff manager had reassigned our room to one that was air conditioning and had already turn the unit on so the main living area was cool.
The only area where the air conditioning could not reach was like a sauna so I can only assume that if we were not relocated our accommodation would have been unbearable.
Hopefully the owners install air conditioning to all for the health and safety of all guests.

Staff are really lovely. They give good directions to find down side street. Internet and aircon struggled through heat but just needed a bit of time. Beautiful bakery 100m and basically on the beach.

Loved the location, pool, free wifi, free laundry, aircon. Free use of snorkel gear, aqua shoes & kayaks. Clean, modern unit! Fabulous host, friendly and helpful. 10/10 Highly recommended, would stay again!

Good value for money; the room felt spacious and was air-conditioned, free wi-fi available.
Nice and quiet as it is a smaller accommodation and there weren’t many other guests around when we were there. If you like your resort feel though this doesn’t have the ‘luxury’ factor, you don’t have your deck chairs and pool facing the ocean like some of the resorts around. But it is simple and homely and a good base for exploring the beautiful island.
The beach is a short stroll down the driveway and you can snorkel there, but it tended to be more choppy water than elsewhere on the island, as the waves break closer to shore (on the fringe of the reef). Everything is just a short drive or bus ride away in Raro, and this accommodation is in close proximity to many dining options and other beaches to snorkel at.
Overall if you are keeping to a budget this is a very decent choice!

Like they do recycling, host was very welcoming and informative property is not far from the beach 2mins walk and it was lovely to meet a few locals as well.
