Moana Sands Beachfront Hotel

The Moana Sands Group is always a great choice.
Across all the properties the Staff are amazing.
The Moana Sands Group as a whole are blessed to have some of the best Staff you will ever come across anywhere.
They really seem to attract and employ people with that X Factor and this goes a long way to making your holiday just that much more special when you look back and realise how they all went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and valued.
And any of the properties in the group deliver the perfect holiday as they each cater for different tastes and budgets.
I have personally stayed at the Beachfront Hotel many times.
This time we were upgraded to the Lagoon Resort in Muri as the Beachfront Hotel was undergoing renovations.
And we got to experience a more luxurious experience which was awesome.
The Resort Manager also took us on a tour of the Villas and Apartment which also look great if you want that option.
Trust me on this, which ever option you choose you won’t be disappointed.

Picture Perfect views. Great cocktails and friendly happy staff. The quality of dinner was excellent.

The fact that it is a small boutique hotel where the staff quickly learn your name. Nothing was a problem.
Plus the view of the sea and close proximity was amazing.

We spent 10 wonderful days at Moana Sands Beachfront Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed every moment! Our accommodation was fantastic: walking distance to a beautiful beach, well designed and equipped room and very relaxed and friendly restaurant. The staff were very polite, welcoming and friendly. Our meals at the restaurant were delicious - the Ika Mata was absolutely amazing!
We plan to visit the Cook Islands again in the future and will definitely stay at Moana Sands again!

Moana Sands Beachfront Hotel offers a stunning location right on the beach, with unbeatable ocean views and excellent snorkelling just steps from your room. The amenities are the hotel’s highlight, giving guests a true “feet-in-the-sand” island experience (use of kayaks, snorkelling gear, etc). The staff were super friendly and welcoming, though I found the hotel a bit inflexible with early and late checkouts despite trying to arrange it prior to arrival and several times whilst there. We also saw the community dogs urinating on the lounger cushions several times - so check before using. Our room was comfortable but could use some upkeep — there was mould in the air conditioning and bathroom and the bug screens had gaps). Breakfast was decent, but dinner was underwhelming, especially with much better dining options nearby. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot for the location and beach access, but a few updates and more flexibility would make the stay much better value for money.

I loved the views from the top floor where we stayed and the staff were helpful and cheerful, and i should mention, great singers. The restaurant offered very affordable food that was delicious and varied. The complimentary breakfast had enough variety to make each day interesting and different. I loved the animals that run around freely, dogs mostly but the rest of the island had a lot of chickens and a few cats. They took care to comb the sand each morning and there was a variety of snorkeling and kayaking gear available to use. The laundry was easy to use and we dried it on a rack in our room. The room came with the usual comforts such as hairdryer, iron, complimentary soaps ect if you forget your own . Overall, we'd definitely go back again. Top place to stay.
