Tradewinds Apartment Hotel

Booked a double bed room and received a single bed, was told they ended up selling out and I was lied to at booking, so they couldn’t do anything. Room was dirty, dishes and towels were dirty, oven didn’t work and front door to the room had a gap so big you could look into the room from outside. I had to put plastic bags in the gap so you couldn’t see into the room. Also there is a $35 a day fee that was not disclosed at time of reservation. Would never recommend a stay here. Staff did nothing to assist and acted as if it wasn’t their problem at all.

First, the check-in was at 4 PM EST. I’ve never heard of a hotel with such a late and strict check-in policy.

When I got in, the shower light flickered whenever I turned it off and back on.

Then, there was hammering on the wall from the next room, and I couldn’t tell where it was coming from. Shortly after, my neighbor knocked on my door accusing me of making the noise while he was trying to sleep. I had to tell him several times that it wasn’t me.

The room also starts to smell after a day if you turn off the AC when it gets cold at night.

Finally, the bedside table and lamp are so unstable that you can easily knock them over. I’m not sure why they chose that kind of furniture—surely they could have picked something better. The furniture arrangement overall is just terrible.

The location is okay, but the building is quite dated. I tried to give this place more than one star based on my experience, but honestly, I just can’t....

What a disappointment! The rooms are very run-down. There is a musty smell… all the equipment is broken (shower buttons, TV not working, etc.). Nothing like the photos. The hotel must have been nice about 25 years ago…

Housekeeping was done only once during the entire stay. The key cards get demagnetized every day. The swimming pool is not maintained. The only positive point is the location, as it is close to the beaches.

Major renovation work is clearly needed.

I do not recommend this property.

I arrived for my stay and immediately encountered serious issues with the room condition. The room had a strong and persistent chemical/bleach smell, appeared old, worn, and poorly maintained, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. I was shown multiple rooms, but they all had the same problems.

This was not a minor inconvenience — it became a health and safety issue. My child is allergic to bleach, and the odor made it impossible for my family to stay. In addition, there were basic comfort issues (including lack of hot water), which made the accommodation uninhabitable for us.

I reported the situation immediately at reception and contacted the booking platform while still on site. Despite hours of trying to resolve the issue and providing photos/videos, no suitable solution was offered. We were forced to leave the property the same day and find alternative accommodation during our vacation.

From the outside, the building looks acceptable, but the actual room conditions do not match what is advertised online. Based on our experience, I strongly advise future guests to be cautious, especially families or anyone with sensitivities or health concerns.

Service and business methods are poor. Check-in can take an hour. Pool will close for days without warning and no compensation even though resort fee collected.

As much as I wanted to love this place I couldn’t. TV in living area only had 8 channels tv in room wouldn’t work the shower water was freezing cold it would not heat up! Maids constantly coming in while I was trying to shower and to top it all off no WiFi was working anywhere in hotel I informed reception and her response was I’ll sent maintenance down.

Great room, very spacious and great recommendations on local cuisine!

They still haven’t sent me back both my deposit they was suppose to send back

Decent rooms staff was friendly. No parking. But not to accommodating. Ac was broken building was sweaty and smelled like mold. Found mold in ac units. Bathroom no exhaust and window didn’t open. Refrigerator wasn’t cleaned. It served its purpose for the trip.

Good stay

The property was nicely located near beach and all tourist attractions. Room for the most part was clean, but some of the pots and pans were dirty. Pool was not the best either. Other than those few things the place was okay.

Property needs updating. The housekeeping was a little rude. Overall, the accommodations was average for the area

First room we got put in had water all over the foor near the beds and alot of dirt/road debris on the floor

It's a beautiful place. The rooms are spacious and very well-equipped. Everything is very clean, and the atmosphere is peaceful. We enjoyed ourselves and rested optimally. Sella and Jose were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely return.

Area is A+ hotel needs to be remodeled everything old and broken or don’t work

Tradewinds was wonderful and the staff was terrific. I feel like they need to upgrade their television. After running around in the hot sun, you want to relax and watch tv where you can add your Netflix or cable tv.

My stay at Tradewinds was cozy and quaint. The apartment accommodated my family's stay. Any questions or issues we had were resolved by staff. Melissa was very helpful and pleasant with assisting me during my stay.
