The location and views are absolutely stunning! Food was brilliant and well priced, rooms very clean and modern. All staff were lovely, especially Karen and Ste who made the stay extra special - thank you both x
Location, room, staff.
Limited menu choice and very limited breakfast choice (though the food was actually very good).
Superior room over work area meant we were awakened at 6am and then kept awake with noise, which is disappointing considering the price.
Really happy, friendly and helpful team especially Karen and Steve (and the lady with glasses whose name I didn't get).
Loved the rooftop area which was fantastic for a sunny weekend!
Had dinner one night and the food was excellent.
We felt well looked after throughout our stay, thank you!
Bit noisy at night due to the private events going on in the hotel function rooms.
I have been here before for food and drinks when meeting friends from the area, this was my first stay and won’t be the last
The room was amazing and the customer service from all the staff (bar, dinner, breakfast, check in and out at reception) was first class
I only noted Karen and Andreas names, but all were excellent
Nothing
Loved it all
We went on the hottest day in ages, so it was busy and we luckily got the lat parking space
What a lovely place. The only criticism is the tiny shower in the bathroom. Great for travelling with a dog as they have some rooms with direct outside access.
I’ve booked for Christmas already!
The staff are lovely - especially Tracy on reception.
I didn’t eat in the restaurant as I had the dog with me but as it was warm I so enjoyed eating dinner in the outside area with such a spectacular view and having breakfast brought to me in the bar area the next day.
Already recommended it to friends with dogs, one has already booked!
Staff were fantastic.Ambience was very good. The Amber Room experience was very pleasant and relaxing.
Can't think of anything negative.
We paid £515 for two nights. We wasn’t told that there was a function room 15 yards from our room , which had loud music on the Friday and Saturday nights that we were there. I have never been to a “spa hotel” where there has not been a spa bath, pool, sauna or anywhere to relax. There was thick cobwebs around the curtains of the room . When we complained the manager said to us “here is my card next time you come I will give you a discount!” No thanks love we won’t be coming back !
The position of the hotel, overlooking the sea, is wonderful.
Arrived at the hotel after walking 15 miles in the rain on the Cleveland Way. Never visited Saltburn before and was excited to visit the town. VERY disappointed at the reception from Chloe. She could barely look up from her phone to speak to us. A terrible first impression. However the food and beverage manager - lovely lady from Middlesbrough could not have been more helpful and offered a wonderful impression of your hotel
And town. Fabulous massage in the amber rooms.
Beautiful location and friendly staff.
The situation was lovely.
Room facilities could be improved.
Location and welcoming staff
Little bit more expensive than expected
We stayed for just 1 night and had the evening meal and breakfast. All staff were so friendly and helpful. Kerry the lady who sorted our booking out was also there when we had our evening meal . Which was delicious. She told us all the places to visit and is an absolute asset to the hotel. The only disappointment was the dolphins didn’t make an appearance hopefully next time they will . The hotel was clean and had a lovely out area as well as the restaurant and bar area . We will definitely be returning soon .
The location the beautiful views the very friendly staff.
Had a meal on the upper terrace and breakfast on the lower terrace. Both very good with lovely views across the beach to the sea.
Slight issue with finding a parking space but it was a BH with the sun out so kind of expected.
Checked in on the 15th of May for a 2 night stay. Was fairly disappointed with the room on arrival but more concerned with the smell.
We hoped it would diffuse and went out for the day. However….When we returned it was just as bad and complained. The cannabis like smell was apparently due to new carpets… but definitely not like new carpets I’ve ever had.
Checked out in the morning around 9am and verbally told we would get credited for the second night. But after raising the issue through booking.com (who were ok to be fair) the hotel refused to pay.
Just very poor. Avoid would be my advice!
