If you're considering this hotel because it claims to be five stars, do yourself a favor: choose anywhere else.
Nothing in this property reflects the standard it advertises. The rooms smell of mold, the mattresses in both rooms we booked were completely worn out, and the furniture is made of cheap MDF. The finishing throughout the property looks like it was done by someone with no professional skill – uneven seams, poorly aligned roof plates, cheap materials everywhere. It's not just disappointing, it's embarrassing that a hotel has the audacity to attach a five-star label to this.
And then there's the pricing. I sent out a very small bag of laundry: four shirts, a pair of jeans, a bikini, a T-shirt, and a handful of underwear. Nothing special, nothing requiring delicate care. When it was returned, I was charged 150 USD. No warning. No estimate. No simple courtesy like: “By the way, there's a local laundry service right outside charging normal prices.” Nothing. Just a silent, opportunistic charge the moment they sensed the chance.
This isn’t hospitality. It’s opportunism dressed as luxury.
Even the food is below average. Bland, low quality, and nowhere near what you would expect from a hotel that wants to be perceived as premium.
Sadly, staying here feels less like being welcomed and more like being treated as a revenue opportunity to squeeze for as long as your stay lasts.
If you truly want a five-star experience, avoid this place. There are far better alternatives where professionalism, transparency, and basic respect for guests still matter.
The prices for the minibar and laundry are just absolute robbery. We paid more than 150 USD for a laundry service with only a few pairs of socks and some shirts. This is definitely not a five-star hotel, not even close. We trusted that the prices would be in line with the modest hotel we thought we booked, but no.
Once again, if you’re a tourist in the Colombian Caribbean, be ready to feel like a walking ATM. Everywhere tries to squeeze the most out of you. I will never, ever return to an NH hotel, and honestly, I recommend anyone reading this to look for a better option where you’re not treated like a product to exploit.
On a smaller note, the pillows are hard as bricks and the double beds are tiny. There are far better places in the area for the same price. The furniture in the terrace is dirty and there is no care to that part of the hotel which has a lot of potential. Haven’t seen anyone using it.. I guess for the same reasons that stopped us to use it. So don’t come here, and don’t help hotel chains like this keep feeding the trap we tourists get pushed into just because we choose to visit.

Use to be there several times for job, but recebtly have decrase their service, my room had cockroaches (Never happened before), I gave advice and they told that they will let me know to change my room, which never happen, I use to recommend it, not anymore

Everything about NH Collection is first rate, especially the staff.
My husband and I came to the hotel for the first time; we visit the bar located at the lobby, and Jeremy Leones welcomed us and treat me an my husband like a family, he play the music we requested and the drinks he prepared for the both of us, among the customer service provided were amazing. I recommend this place 💯% and I will definitely return on my next vacation. Thank you Jeremy for your kindness, God bless you.

Bed was so comfortable. Room was great!
First impression, a not so friendly and welcoming front desk agent. Second, while doing the check-in the two front desk agents started fighting about their lunch break in front of us. Third, we asked about City tours, and we were told they did not have any information to provide us. Went out for lunch since we arrived early. When we returned we told a new front desk agent (Carol) what happened before, she was very nice and professional. Offered us a free upgrade to a suite, we were very happy until we got into that floor, smelly, under construction, and vent machines on the hallways. Once inside the room (humidity smell) there was a big Brown roach. Left room immediately, and asked to speak with general manager of the hotel. Luís Mejía was presented as the hotel manager, we explained all what happened within two hours of arriving. He was very appologetic, send us to another regular room (downgraded), and provided us with appetizers and juices. During our three days stay, no follow-up was done.
Hotel was amazing, the service was incredible, friendly staff and Zharick was very helpful and sweet and very knowledgeable, I’m coming back for sure. Thanks a lot Zharick for your help!!
