Primavera Beach Hotel

I went there at the start of October, which is right about when the season ends so it was very nice and quiet. We've got a welcome drink which was a nice touch and we've gotten help with our bags as well. There is security at the hotel and the security guard was nice to talk to. The hotel actually looks better in real life compared to the pictures. The room was clean and all of the necessities were there, the bathroom was modern and even had a rainshower system, which was very enjoyable. The staff were very welcoming and would always talk to us, everyone was sweet and friendly. The poolside is nice with plenty of sunloungers and the poolside was also illuminated at night which created a nice and quiet atmosphere. The location of the hotel was also perfect, as there are shops and places to eat at nearby. A nice sandy beach is just two minutes down the road from the hotel. The hotel also serves food, I've had their souvlaki and they were very good. The only minor issue was the slow WiFi. If I was to be in Malia again I'd stay there again, highly recommend

I would like to give thanks to all the staff here, but a special thank you goes to the manageress Victoria. She was a great help with anything we needed. She got us sorted with a room change as the first one was wasn't suitable. Thanks Victoria, love from K & J at room 34.

Great holiday from the moment we arrived, super friendly staff. Had a couple of beers before we got shown to our room and watched Alex do some card tricks, he made us feel at home straight away. Rooms very clean, fresh towels etc every two days. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. Pool barman is lovely so kind, sorry don’t know how to pronounce his name. I think my only criticism is the pool area needs a bit of an upgrade, however for what we paid for the holiday can’t really complain. As an older couple we wanted a bit of life, but not too much, Malia in September was perfect. We will be back!

Die Unterkunft ist super für leute die gerne feiern gehen möchten. Alle die lieber einen ruhigeren urlaub wollen sollten etwas außerdem von dem strip schauen. Die wände sind sehr dünn und ab sechs, wenn alle vom feiern zurückkommen ist es sehr laut in der Unterkunft. Am pool käuft durchgehend Musik. Geputzt wird alle zwei tage, wäsche wird aber erst am fünften Tag gewechselt

Free drinks on arrival, help with luggage and an amazing friendly welcome. The girls (jess, rose, lottie) are amazing so welcoming and really make the place, they were always joining in with everyone making us enjoy every night start to finish. Alex on the bar is amazing too always saying hi as we pass by and complementing us before a night out along with James who also made sure we enjoyed the whole stay and kept everyone entertained. Nicos helped us with all our bags on arrival and would greet us every day with a smile. Perfect place for a group holiday.

Literally don’t listen to others this hotel is one of the best stays i have had the Scottish twins jess and rose are absolutely amazing just bloody brilliant free drinks when we arrived the rooms are lovely and right on the strip so its just brilliant veiws are amazing and the staff are wonderful

Best hotel in Malia! The Scottish twin bartenders are amazing! Great rooms with amazing service. Good music and vibes.

We are staying at this lovely hotel,been here for 1 week and another week to go,we have thoroughly enjoyed it,the staff are so friendly and helpful,their customers are their priority,the rooms are lovely and we have a brand new bathroom which is a real treat the twins Rose and Jess,they have been nothing more than delightful while we ve been here,they are lovely,we would highly recommend,close to everything and the beach

I have just spent 7 nights at Primavera. My partner and I arrived last Thursday and were greeted at the accommodation by the most friendly and cheerful staff at primavera. We received a welcome cocktail and our luggage taken to room 7 where we stayed for the duration. The room was spotless and had a modern bathroom, self catering items and a good sized fridge and a balcony with table chairs and washing airer. The accommodation has a pool to the rear with a pool bar. The bar staff are amazing and make the best cocktails. The food at primavera was very well priced and generous in portion sizes. The location of the accommodation was perfect for us, just a few minutes from the beach and a few minutes in the opposite direction for restaurants bars and clubs. The resort has plenty to offer and caters for both the younger and older generations. There are many lovely restaurants in the resort, plenty of choice for all. Having visited many beautiful Greek islands over the years Malia in Crete really was an amazing experience and so much so we have booked to return again to the primavera next year. Just returned from a week here with my best friend, had an amazing time, staff were so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us, but guys steer well clear of two teenage twins Jess and Rose…..if that’s their real names, they are liars, thieves and scroungers, we befriended them and invited them to our room, they stole my £100 bottle of perfume and of course denied it when confronted, they were the only 2 people that came into our room and sat on the bed with the perfume inches away from them, just forewarning you and giving you a heads up. Apart from that had a very enjoyable holiday.

Greeted by very friendly staff on arrival with a cocktail and some info about the area. Shown to room which had three single beds. I asked if we could change to a room with a double bed but was told there were none as this is a “lads holiday” hotel and they don’t want to share a bed. No soap in the bathroom so had to purchase straight away. Hotel falsely advertised free WiFi but we had to pay €75 cash only for this, city tax and to use the fan. The walls are absolutely paper thin and you could almost hear your neighbours brushing their teeth. The door badly needed fixing and had to be practically slammed to close it. The shower was lukewarm at best and absolutely freezing at worst. Hotel also seem to have used a few fake photos of the pool and exterior. I felt I got a bit of attitude after complaining about the cold water. Checkout is 12pm which is fair enough but the hotel has absolutely no facilities to shower or change in privacy which is normally a given. We were told we could shower at the pool and change in the public toilet. I would actually rather change out in the middle of the street rather than set foot in the toilet. We had left our cases in the defunct reception room as instructed but staff walked in on us changing twice despite knowing we were in there. I did think the staff were nice (prior to checkout) but they have no clue how to run a business or basic customer service. The only part I enjoyed about this holiday was when we were away from the hotel. It was not a comfortable or relaxing place to be. Never ever again!!

I inadvertantly booked this place because I liked the look of the pool area on Jet2 website and the price was right! Didn't spot the vibe ad and the map showed it as being away from the clubs, close to the beach and plenty of restaurants around. When we arrived we were met by Yannis, who gave us a welcome drink of a fruit cocktail. He even took both suitcases to the room. Once he had given us the basics and we had unpacked, we went and had 1 or 2 cold sherbets.
The room we had been given was a modest size, with 3 beds set out as a single and double. Firm and with clean sheets, just lovely! There was a wardrobe with some hangers, to which Yannis gave us a few more when asked. The shower curtain was a bit of a mare, as it stuck to your butt when having a shower! But we managed. There was a kettle, bits of crockery for 3, cutlery the same and even a toaster! Small fridge and air con. The squeeze had her own hairdryer, so not a problem. There was a safety box in the wardrobe, but as usual we didn't bother.
Out the door,left, and down to the pool area. It was shared with the apartments next door, but there was plenty of space and beds to go round, while we were there. The bar had plenty to drink, there was food to be had too! All the staff here were very friendly towards us.
The biggest thing we found though, considering that the tax was only 20 euros, was that housekeeping were in and changing the sheets every other day! Excellent! We had towels a plenty, toilet rolls and the paper bin went too! All in all we had a wonderful 2 weeks in and around the place.

This is our 3rd year at this hotel as per usual the bar staff yiannis and Alex yarifalia Adrian make us feel like family there hospitality are second to none. Already booked for 2025 me and my family wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Malia and it’s all because off the staff that work there . They are absolutely amazing. See you all next year

I stayed at the Primavera Beach with 3 friends at the start of September 2024 and we had the most amazing time! We were offered a welcome drink on arrival which was delicious and the perfect start to our holiday. The location was perfect - close enough to the strip to get there within just a few minutes walk but also far enough so that it was quiet at night time. The rooms were relatively basic but more than sufficient and excellent value for the price we paid. Pool area was nice with plenty of sunbeds and a poolside bar and although it is shared with the hotel next door it never felt crowded or hectic. The breakfast is fantastic with plenty of choices for all tastes and hunger levels, and also well worth the money. All staff members we spoke to were incredibly helpful and friendly - special mention to Yannis and Victoria who were both lovely. The only minor drawback was that the shower did not hook properly and so resulted in the floor getting soaked after use, but this was not a huge issue and could be easily managed. Overall a brilliant place to stay for a lads/girls holiday, highly recommend!

I stayed here for a week with my group of friends and had the best time! Location is great very central, beach 5 mins down the road and the strip 5 mins in the opposite direction. Although the strip was so close there was no trouble with noise

The rooms were basic and were just what you needed for the price. The hotel staff were amazing in particular Yannis and Alex. They couldn’t do more for you, so welcoming and the best bar staff about. We spend most nights at the hotel bar prior to going out. Made our holiday even better!

Great location, close to beach and the strip. We went for a week and went to the hotel bar every night for a quick drink before the strip but ended up staying until at least 2 or all night because the staff were so great. Yainis and Alex were so friendly and welcoming that we didn't want to leave. They played games, chatted and showed us card tricks to keep us entertained, also offered great recommendations for places to try in the area. Couldn't ask for better staff!

Great location and apartments. We came as a group of 5 girls and absolutely loved the holiday. We really enjoyed the hotel bar in the evening particularly, music was great and song requests were played!
The staff were so friendly particularly Yiannis and Alex. Very chatty, great customer service and and they would go above and beyond to ensure you had the best time. Great guys, 10/10 service, and unreal cocktails and drinks :)

Primavera Beach Hotel & Apartments has a lot going for it, especially when it comes to location, food, and service. Situated in a prime spot, it’s perfect for anyone looking to explore the area with ease. The on-site restaurant also deserves praise for offering delicious meals that cater to a range of tastes. Additionally, the staff (especially Victoria, Emma and Yanis) are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel personal and enjoyable.

However, there are some drawbacks that are hard to overlook. The rooms are noticeably outdated, which detracts from the overall comfort and experience. It’s also disappointing to find out on arrival that air conditioning costs an additional €75 per room, which feels excessive considering the price of the stay. 

Another significant issue is the discrepancy between the online advertisement and reality. While the hotel is marketed as adult-only, the pool is shared with a neighbouring hotel that accommodates families with children. This can be a letdown if you’re expecting a more peaceful, adults-only atmosphere. The pool also lacks quality and does need a deep clean...

In summary, Primavera Beach Hotel & Apartments has some strong points but also several areas that need improvement. If you value location, good food, and friendly service, it’s a solid choice. However, be prepared for dated rooms, additional costs for air conditioning, and a less tranquil pool experience than advertised.
