Pros:

The room is what you would expect, it was small with a small washroom. The room and the washroom were exceptionally clean. We were lucky enough to have a balcony which gave us extra sitting room with a view. The hotel was situated in the middle of Firostafani, Fira is about a 1 kilometer walk. The owners were friendly, I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay.

Charming and comfortable
Pros:

We really loved our stay at Sofia Hotel Santorini .

The room was small but well equipped including a fridge and kettle which i have found you don’t always get in Europe .

The hosts provided us with a complimentary small bottle of wine and water which was a nice touch .

We arrived early and we were allowed to store our luggage to go and explore the area before check in which was 1pm.

Upon check in our bags had been taken to our room .

The room had lovely views out the back and a terrace area we could sit in . It was clean and comfortable .

This is a small boutique hotel in Santorini consisting of only 6 rooms . It is well situated to local restaurants with everything in walking distance .

This hotel has a swimming pool which are hard to find in Santorini .

I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again .

Location is perfect!!!
Pros:

Fantastic property representing excellent value for money. Comfortable room with balcony with partial caldera view and just a few steps away to view beautiful sunset. Restaurants and convenience stores literally on the doorstep yet very quiet in the room once the door is closed. Could not be in a better location in our opinion. Easy to catch public buses around the island and to walk to Fira and Imerovigli. Owners are lovely people. We arrived early and they prepared our room as soon as possible to allow early check in and organised transfers from airport on arrival and to port on departure for us. Would definitely stay here again. Don’t hesitate to book this property.

Great location in Firostefani!
Pros:

Great location near bus stop, restaurants, views. Spacious room with all amenities; pool is a huge plus; convenience store (which is also the reception - a bit confusing at first) is right next door. The family who owns the hotel is very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Great value, wonderful room
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sofia Hotel. We normally stay in budget to moderate priced accommodations, and the Sofia was the nicest place we stayed in during our 2 and a half week vacation in Greece. The room was spotless, the shower was very good with lots of hot water, and the beds and pillows were comfortable, even for me with my bad back. The wifi was very good (although we had trouble connecting to start with). We had a beautiful balcony with a nice table and pair of chairs. The air conditioning functioned perfectly. We had a refrigerator and kettle which is all we really needed for breakfast. The location is excellent - you have a partial caldera view, lots of restaurants, a small store downstairs, and you have a head start on the path to Oia if you want to do the hike. Our host was very helpful and let us check-in a bit early and set up our shuttle to the airport.

Excellent location, lovely staff
Pros:

I highly recommend this small hotel of only six rooms. The family running the hotel and shops below are welcoming, kind, and helpful. The location can't be beat and locals working nearby said I made a better choice than others paying much more for villas and having long treks up and down the stairs to get to and from their rooms. Improvements to the rooms are planned during the off season. I do not plan to return to Santorini, but if I do I will surely stay here again.

Great location but poor experience
Pros:

Our first night the hotel couldn't accommodate us and put us up at another place off of the main strip, what was closer to an apartment room - the bed you could feel the metal springs; an overall disappointment. Ensure the hotel does not move you for any nights because it felt as though they do this frequently to ensure full capacity at their hotel, which is only 5 rooms. The actual hotel is in a great location with a nice shared patio, good value if you don't get moved!

Good location
Pros:

Hotel is in a very good location, within a walking distance from bustling Fira's center and next to a bus station. We walked all the time and even did the 2 hr hike to Oia. Rented a car to visit other parts of the island in the south and east coasts.

The hotel is manned by the owner Sofia and has two young men who were helpful. They provided free pick up service from and to the port. Just make sure to call for arrangements at least 24 hour prior to arrival (also by air). The hotel is located on a second floor and has five bedrooms. It does NOT have a caldera view but you can literally walk less than 30 meters to see it. They are small but have basic comfort. We paid a good value compared to many other higher end options. Overall Santorini was expensive compared to our stays in Athens and Mykonos, and many services and restaurants were of subpar quality albeit good service in general.

Great value small hotel in Firostefani
Pros:

A small hotel on the caldera path located in Firostefani. We got an ensuite double bedroom at a great rate but did not have their breakfast which was an optional extra.
The air conditioned room had wifi and was just about big enough with an adequately comfortable four poster bed. Our large suitcase had to be pushed under the bed if left open. A small TV, stereo, kettle, fridge and safe was in the room.
There is a dip pool and patios for each bedroom, some with very limited caldera views and others with views over the other side of the island.
There is no reception per se but the nice little shop below doubles up as the reception. Staff are friendly and helpful.
There are plenty of restaurants immediately around.
It ticks the boxes for a clean, cheap, comfortable, quiet hotel in a convenient location for caldera dining and drinks and close enough to Fira transport links.

Nice hotel
Pros:

It is in the nice part of the town. Am very happy with this hotel, well maintained. You just go to the store downstairs if you need something for the owner of the hotel is there. I think the hotel owner also owns the store. With walking distance to Fira, bus stop to Oai is very near the hotel. Restaurants around the hotel. The restaurant near the hotel is the first restaurant in the area since 1922 (Aktion, food is good). With AC, hot water. Bathroom is kind a small, I think is normal in Santorini. We had a pleasant stay. Would choose the same hotel when we have a chance to visit Santorini. They offer free shuttle to and from airport or ferry port. The driver of the van is so nice, he will help you with your luggage.

Location without the exorbitant price
Pros:

Location of this little hotel was fantastic - close to Fira but without the crowds, steps away from amazing views over the Caldera, surrounded by a wide variety of dining options and run by the delightful Sofia. With free transfers to and from the airport, check in was so easy and stress free.
There is free wifi and a convenience store is attached to the hotel for everything you could need - from water (no drinking tap water in Santorini) to wine. If I just wanted to relax, I had the choice of several balconies, a pleasant pool complete with sun lounges, tables and comfortable chairs and a rooftop area.
Although the rooms are not huge (who spends time in a hotel room when you are on this beautiful island!), they are clean and comfortable and serviced every day.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would heartily recommend Hotel Sofia as an economical, well located base from which to explore this beautiful island.

Great place!
Pros:

The room was clean and big with plenty of chairs & tables around the place to chill. A close 15 minutes walk to head into the center of Thira or Imerovigli; many restaurants and mini-markets nearby so it was in an excellent location. Everyone on the staff was very nice & even personally drove me to the airport on the last day when the airport transfer service was stuck in traffic. Thanks for your great hospitality! Would definitely stay here again!

Our Week in Hotel Sofia in Santorini Greece.
Pros:

The room was good and very central in FiraStefani. We had breakfast at a local restaurant and got 10%discount. There was no Reception office as such and we did our business through the Shop and off licence. This was actually fine and we got to know the people. There was return transport from the airport and if we needed information the shop could tell us. The room was cleaned up daily and we were happy with the air conditioning and the safe and fridge.
We would come again.

Value for money
Pros:

On an island that is stunningly beautiful but also a little pricey, this hotel represents excellent value for money. There is no dedicated reception and the balcony is shared space rather than private, but the room is perfectly pleasant, the shared spaces are wonderful to sit in, and the view is gorgeous. And there is a real benefit in the position: the town of Thira itself gets packed with people as the cruise ships pull in, but this hotel is just far enough away for the crowds to thin out, even in the peak of the day, while having easy access along a gorgeous path to the center of town, and plenty of restaurants and cafes within yards of the hotel.

PS. The three-hour walk along the rim path to Oia has to be one of the most beautiful walks in the world.
