Megan at the front desk was absolutely amazing! Went out of her way to solve or issue of our confirmation not being sent.

We are Bonvoy members and always choose to stay at a Marriott but I was a little leery after reading some of the recent reviews on this particular hotel. I decided to go ahead and book and I’m glad we did. We were in town to explore the Carlsbad caverns and stayed for a night. The gentleman at check in was kind and even told us when we returned at night that we would need to use our room card as the hotel locks the front entry doors and it’s only opened via room card. That was great and we appreciated it as we came in after dark from Star watching and the bar flight at the caverns. The room was typical style for all their hotels and everything was clean. Breakfast was great in the morning with every station clean, food hot and replenished. The staff was kind and even helped us print out a park pass we needed as we drove back to Texas. Thanks again for another great Marriott stay,
We came to check into our room at 5:45pm - even prepaid for the room. There was a man waiting 10 before us. No one was at the front desk so we can check into our room after our long drive. It’s been over 40 minutes and still no front desk person has showed. We knocked on all the staff rooms and no answer.
Met our travel needs
It was a basic clean solid hotel
Moderne Unterkunft mit guter Lage. Es hat alles gepasst.
Eher etwas teuer, aber noch okay
Continental breakfast was as expected, I liked the oatmeal, banana, orange. Coffee was great. There were quiche, scrambled egg, sausages, etc. The hotel location was convenient to Carlsbad Cavern.
It would be nice to have a lamp on the desk.
Got to the hotel and they claimed there was a computer malfunction that had overbooked the hotel. Luckily we had not actually paid any money out at that point because we chose pay at check in option. But still. How does a computer malfunction in this day and age so overbook your hotel that you have to turn confirmed guests away. Truly dissatisfied.
great location close to my relative who we came to visit.
there's nothing we didn't ,great location and resturants
Good location in town.
Seemed like run down (worst Fairfield I've stayed at), Lack of attention to details-- for instance no waffle mix, no yogurt, no cream cheese-- on both days. When asked basically told we just don't have it.
Tesla chargers
The bed cover was incomplete. There was food left in the fridge. The windows don’t close tightly.
El clima de la habitación
Overall the stay was okay, until the hot water went out. We came back from a long day of hiking and the hot water wasn't working. I contacted the front desk and they were un-informative. I walked down to the front desk and asked if there was anyway to get a hot shower and the only solution was to go to a local truck stop and pay for a shower. We paid for a hot shower, so to suggest that we pay for the shower is absurd. They should have, at the very least, offered to pay for that hot shower at the truck stop. Upon checking out the next morning, the front desk associate said that the hotel was going to compensate the hotel guests in some way, but she didn't know how. After contacting the manager 2 times via email and 1 time by stopping at the front desk(I stayed here again on a business trip a few months later). The manager of this property didn't even dignify my emails with a response. The manager should be fired.
Breakfast was not great.
