La ubicación
La atención del personal es pésima, no solucionan problemas de reserva y se lavan las manos diciendo que es un problema de Booking
Staff Joseph, Sergio, the manager sorry can’t remember his name was a fluent english speaker, location, they do an amazing job to make you a happy
camper ! Many restaurants in the area ,I always go where they are full the Hammock Paisa was our go to one.
The rooms facing the street were noisy as Christmas can be noisy in Colombia! It is an older facility so if something needs to be different they will move you, let them know of your needs.
I frequently stay at Edmar and my family and i love it. The staff is so nice and attentive. The location is also great because its by the beach in a very boho area. relatively close to everything you want to see in santa martha. we always stay here and during the day we go to taganga, el centro, tayrona, minca etc.
The rooms are fine and confortable, the food is very good too. Everything was great but, here was the first hotel, hostal, around all countries I have been where I have to pay for my flight check inn, by each person! It's ridiculous. The girl at reception was not friendly, just want the money to do some clicks on the pc. Honestly, it was a shame
Great location and value for under $50, A/C, TV, Wifi in room, hot water, friendly staff and mini bar. Maybe we just got the room with the squeaky hard bed, every time you turn over your partner is jolted awake and the pillows are like giant rocks, the top sheets are tiny as well. Sleeping pills did the trick on the second night. We would stay here again.
Really nice and clean rooms, 3 blocks to beach, decent breakfast with fresh juice and fruit, small pool but you will likely have all to yourself. There are plenty of really good restaurants nearby that aren't too expensive. For the price and location great value.
The hotel was fantastic! Amazing customer service, they made a great effort to make us feel like home. It was our anniversary and they left roses in our bed. As to the room, size was perfect, it was clean and neat, just perfect. 3 blocks away from he beach, breakfast was very nice. We can't really stress enough how great their customer service was.
This was a very decent hotel for the price in Rodadero. Excellent location. Only a few mins from the beach, bars and restaurants. It felt safe walking around late at night.
The rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable. The shower was nice and hot. The cable tv only had channels in Spanish so a bit pointless for international travellers. This hotel seems to cater to Colombian families, with the pool and the play area.
The breakfast was simple but tasty, fruit, eggs, arepas, fried rice, coffee etc.
The WiFi was pretty appalling to be honest, at worst it disconnected every 5 to 10 seconds. This is really something the management need to sort out.
On the whole good service from the staff, although not always friendly, and I noticed one of the receptionists giving my boyfriend dirty looks on several occasions (maybe because he has a lot of tattoos which doesn't seem to be commonplace in Colombia) which I did not appreciate.
Stayed here for 4 nights due to the location and economical price. We had a nice room overlooking the small, but cozy pool. The good: central location, air conditioning, cable TV, pool and a tasty breakfast of juice, fruit, eggs, bread, and coffee or hot chocolate. The not so good: one not so friendly staff member and one day they forgot to clean our room. All-in-all a real cozy place to stay for the price.
I stayed at the Hotel Edmar for one night in July. I love the beautiful lobby area and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. One of them spoke English when I visited. I had a nice, clean room and I had a comfortable stay. My only concerns were that I could hear everything that was being said in the room next to me and some of the bathroom sink fixtures came off. I also had a hard time adjusting my water temperature for the shower. I loved the dining area and the waiters were very helpful and efficient. I would recommend this hotel.
My husband and I needed a place to spend the night and found Hotel Edmar. We ended up liking it so much we stayed 5 nights.
The staff were wonderful. They didn't speak great English but they tried very hard and were very inventive (one used Google translate on the desktop computer when we got stuck).
The food was wonderful. Despite being included in the price, for breakfast they asked you what you wanted and always served fresh juice. It was better than most of the food in Santa Marta.
When we were there there was no elevator, but they were installing one. Even with the construction it was quiet and remarkably clean.
The pool wasn't very deep but was nice to relax in.
I like this hotel, stayed here on 2 different trips.
What you get: clean rooms, wifi, good location, quality of sleep (not easy to find in El Rodadero), nice staff, average restaurant.
This is a 2 or 3 star hotel, where I feel that I get a lot of quality for what I pay. I highly recommend it for solo travelers, or young couples looking for a clean and not expensive place to sleep in El Rodadero.
