The only thing that I was not happy with would be that I had to do my dishes and take out the garbage. Every time I go somewhere I never have to do dishes and take out garbage. Not empress with that. Sorry.
Very Pet friendly...cabin overall is run down and in need of repairs and cleaning...bathroom very dark.
A rustic camp feel is what you will get...
We recently stayed at Randle Chalet, and we were impressed by the rustic charm of the cabin, which made it a great value for the price. The setting was cozy and inviting, just as described. However, there was one issue that stood out during our stay. While we understood the cabin is pet-friendly, we were disappointed by the amount of dog hair that seemed to be everywhere, especially in the bath and on the pullout couch. The other bedrooms were reportedly clean, but unfortunately, my pullout couch was quite covered in pet hair, which made it less comfortable. We had hoped for a higher standard of cleanliness based on some of the reviews we had read.
If you're someone who doesn't mind a bit of extra pet hair and are more focused on the location and price, then this cabin is still a good choice. However, a little more attention to cleaning would have made the stay much more enjoyable.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable. It was a nice stay. Will come back again soon.
Little cabin had everything we wanted and more like a real fire burning fireplace.
Kitchen and furniture is a bit outdated but we really didn’t mind that at all.
Bed was comfortable.
We will be back.
Staff was nice, room is a one of a kind. It is a cute little cabin with a small couch and TV. Has a small kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave and hot water heater which was helpful. We recommend this place for the price. If you need a blow dryer just ask at check-in.
An absolutely beautiful spot to stay
Cozy, warm and quiet. Just remember that these are little rustic cedar cabins and not a a high-end finished hotel. Great indoors fireplaces and outdoor fire pits. Just outside the Banff Park gate and before Canmore proper. If you are looking for cozy and quiet, this is the place. Excellent price as well.
Staffs are helpful and friendly
Kitchen worked very well
Quaint cabins, easy to access from the highway and close to Canmore, nice mountain views. Very clean and staff were responsive. Biggest complaint is the fold out sofa bed in the 1 bedroom cabin. Absolutely needs to be replaced - frame is very uneven. Had to put the mattress on the floor, but then too thin and uncomfortable. Also, despite being called a 1 bdrm, the bedroom is only big enough for the bed and does not have a door, so it's not really a bedroom. Something to note if you need the privacy of a bedroom. Overall, happy with the stay other than the bed problem.
It was a cute cabin. Very rustic. Bathroom clean but tiny.
Washrooms was really small. Rooms were clean. Good for a night or two.
The room was clean, the staff was very helpful with extra towels and such. Very friendly.
I found the cabin was dirty
It was run down quite a bit
Walls were poorly painted
Bed was extremely uncomfortable
Windows had extreme drafts around them
Fridge was leaking water from the freezer into the fridge and they used the fridge drawers to catch the water
Bathroom was disappointing
You could see daylight through the cracks in the entrance door
Overall the cabins are poorly maintained
For $350.00 dollars a night, I was quite disappointed
The outside shows a lot of rot in several places
Definitely needs to be completely renovated
Have stayed here many times. Cabins are outdated and the kitchen equipment usually very used (read: scratched up pans, dull knives, etc.), but the place is comfortable, clean, quiet, and convenient, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Plus, having your own cabin with a full kitchen is far better than just a room in a hotel that would likely cost the same or more. I like it here and will be returning.
Well-priced little cabins with everything you need for a comfortable stay away from the crowds. We had a queen bed and sofa bed, full range and oven, bar fridge, microwave, kettle and utensils, and this was the basuc cabin! The grounds provide picnic benches and fire pits. Would stay again, summer or winter.
Area was dark and the drainage system did not work
Good
I stayed here with my dog on sept.30th. Really enjoyed my night here. I arrived after dark and was greeted warmly by the front desk woman. The chalet is super conveniently located and was a good place to stay to hike in Kananaskis.
I stayed in a studio cabin and it was very spacious. Had a full kitchen with everything I needed. Heat worked great, hot water was amazing. Tv and WiFi worked great. I loved the privacy and the quiet of my own cabin, no shared walls was lovely. Fire pits outside to have a fire and sit around. It had that cozy cabin feel and I really loved my stay here. I'll for sure be back.
A few small inconveniences;
No butter knives in the kitchen, bathroom was pretty tight for space but for a single person it was fine. Fridge was a bit too cold and it froze some of my food including my eggs which made it interesting to cook them in the morning.
Bed was too hard and not comfortable.
Property is a bit dark so I found it hard to find my cabin and navigate the grounds
Overall a really nice stay and extremely affordable especially given the area! Good place as a base for adventures.
Heater turned on till room was a sauna, then shut off till it was a deep freeze. Hard to sleep. There was a plastic sheet of some sort under the regular sheet, made a ton of noise every time you moved. Not a good sleep!
