Hotel Sputnik

A great 3-star hotel provides everything you need. We have stayed here 4 times during the last half year and I can definitely recommend the place. The price-quality ratio is unbeatable. The hotel provides a good parking zone, which was of great importance to us as we traveled by car. Breakfast is delicious and has a good variety of everything. The beds are comfy, free toiletries were always there, and cleanliness is on point. We had standard rooms every time so nothing to comment on. Next time when I need to stay in Saint Petersburg I will definitely go with this hotel one more time. Only pleasant memories and good impressions. Well done, guys.

The stay was good, but you can hear your neighbors very well. The room was clean. Bedding is an average. Breakfast buffet is very good, a lot of Russian cuisine options. There was no air conditioning in our room. An extra bed was the better quality than the real bed. Mattresses are too soft.

Just about two years ago it briefly seemed that their team tried to be a nice hotel. Now that feeling - and that staff attitude - are absolutely gone. The repairs (and lights) haven't been done any further than the modern lobby. You go upstairs and you find yourself in dark gloomy (a little smelly, a little spotty) corridors, occasionally passing weird-looking people you wouldn't want to meet. But above all, it's this classic Soviet/Russian negative staff attitude which is the reason we will not return and do not recommend the Sputnik Hotel to anyone.

Clean and comfortable, standard room is tiny. Bed is made of two matresses instead of a spring box and a mattress. Weird construction whould satisfy people who like soft bed, not me.

Just be aware that good European customer service will not be served here

Hotel Sputnik is fairly big hotel. Reception is friendly but a bit slow, rooms are very simple, but sometimes dirty. Last weekend there were a lot of very noisy Chinese tourists. Breakfast at rush moments (7:30-8:15) is a no-go: no cutlery, no clean dishes. Easy access by metro, with 500 meters walking. With a bit of luck (neat room, quick service, quiet moment at breakfast) this is a bargain!

Good for the price but dated hotel.

Tudo dentro do esperado. O hotel está ainda em reforma. Faltou a instalação do ar condicionado no quarto. Café da manhã bom. No geral OK. Perto do metro.

Don’t get me wrong the hotel is very nice and the location is not bad, it’s around 20 min to the Main Street in Saint Petersburg, but my experience was afffected by the lack of customer service in the hotel. One of the ladies at the breakfast room put a reserve sign o. most of the tables so all the hotel guest could share just a few tables, so she did not have to clean so many Tables. The ladie at front desk had a bad attitude when I tried to check out at 2 am because my flight was at 5 am.
As a overall review I will say customer service needs to improve !

Location is good, breakfast is perfect but staff find it difficult to speak different language except Russia

Hotel is far from main touristic places. Hotel is very old and the rooms are very small

The hotel room was good and for me it was very convenient to go to the St. Petersburg University.

Good:

1. Close to Ioffe Institute and St. Petersburg University. If you intend to visit the university often or every day, better to stay here.
2. Away from the city, and if you need a peaceful stay and would like to be away from the noise of the city, choose hotel sputnik.
3. Room was quite big, spacious and I liked it.
4. There were a couple of ladies at the reception who were very friendly (thanks to them)

Not so good part:
1. Not many people speak English here.
2. One day there was no hot water the whole day.
3. Away from the city and therefore, you have nothing to do in the late evenings there.
4. Some of them (the waiters) still need to learn how to treat customers.

Останавливаюсь в этом отеле регулярно. Меня устраивает соотношение цена-качество, возможность путешествовать с собакой, удобная бесплатная парковка для машины, вкусный и разнообразный завтрак, возможность взять полный пансион и не думать о том, где поесть. При желании на первом этаже хороший ресторан, студия красоты с прекрасной сауной. Спокойный район, рядом огромный парк.

Очень хороший отель, останавливаюсь здесь не в первый раз. Приветливый персонал, вкусный завтрак, чистые номера, приемлемая цена, удобное месторасположение. Останавливаюсь здесь уже не в первый раз. Все очень нравится.

Das Hotel liegt nicht weit von einer U-Bahn-Station im Norden von St. Petersburg. Mein Zimmer war nicht groß, hatte aber alles, was ich brauchte. Sehr sauber, trotz der Lage an einer breiten Straße nachts ruhig, selbst bei offenem Fenster.. Exzellentes Frühstück, Speisekarte für Mittag- und Abendessen im Restaurant zwar nicht groß, Essen aber sehr gut!

We stayed at the Hotel Sputnik for a week during a student language exchange with the near by school. The hotel offers breakfast. It also has a salon in the building. The rooms are very roomy and clean. The laundry service was great. A little confusing on the process though. So let the front deal know you have laundry. The housekeeper will pick up from your room. Then pay at the front desk in about an hour. And once your laundry is complete they will deliver to your room.
The lobby has a cute souvenirs hop in it.
And the WiFi is great.

We was resting in the hotel "Sputnik " on the January holidays. Price-quality on the good level , lobby , room, bathroom clean. Big advantage of the hotel is beautiful Swedish breakfast which included in price of the room of hotel. Also we can to get all necessary things ( kettle, bicycle and others) without prepayment .
