We were undercover
No heating
Staff get up at daybreak to get ready - laughing, singing, banging doors
Restaurant food hugely overpriced
Images on line not representative of actual rooms
Location is good close to Hobart
Bed was to hard for my comfort and the heater was not working very well the room was a bit cold
The location the property it's self the staff were kind polite and accommodating.
The rooms felt like they were lost in time
The bed a big 4 post felt like 1000 people had had a good night's sleep there you just sank in to like like you would at nannas house.
The place was quite and relaxed the out side area with the animals was nice and enjoyable to see coblecsstone driveway was charming
The room colour left questioning taughts pealing wall paper and black makes scuffed up the pink walls . I'm not one to look at myself so 4 mirrors felt over the top. The two person spa was a nice touch tho it could do with some resealing as the water spilled over the edge from the spa jets and the spa being on a timer with the button to turn it on being so far from the spa meant some one had to get out and uncomfortable to turn it back on every 6 min or so . The room has instructions for everything other then how to make said spa work that requires a combination of switches. If the switch was closer or the timer longer we would have spent all day in there.
Now the meals we went with the chicken options and both were dry the chips over cooked in year old oil just ozing out of the hand full we got well that's how they felt to us I'm a fat guy so I know chips.
The garlic bread was nice from what seamed to be home made style. With all this we expected home made desserts my apricot crumble was home made but to sweet with a bitter after taste maybe look to making a apple and apricot crumble the crumble it self was amazing. The cheese cake was two slices of. Seralee box cake with half frozen mixed berries cream was nice the old ice-cream not so much and the few cooks hair strands made for interesting dinner talk.
If I could serject boil the Berry's first then cool them .
Buy good quality chicken sinzles from a butcher not the $2.5 Coles / woolies special flat ones and air fry the chips. Total for the meals was $90 bucks and I don't feel value in that I would have paid 25 each easy no question asked for what was on the plate.
And in comparison we ate out the other nights and spent the same $$ for a huge pulled and smoked meats plate with chips and dips.
The room had its own hot top plates but not a single pan or pot to use with them I had looked forward to making pancakes for breakfast but felt rude to ask to loan a pan.
It was like a wonderland. Big and lovely.
Extremely comfortable. Lovely surroundings. Welcoming Hosts
Huge room. Kitchette. Very quick and easy run to the airport.
Poor lighting. Bed somewhat saggy, but huge. No saucepans at all for cooking, though I'm sure the landlord would have given us some had we asked.
This is an amazing property and great rooms. Owners are absolutely delightful. Home cooked meals were delish. Will definitely stay again when in Richmond
Nothing. Everything was great
Love the location and owners running it
Nothing it was all excellent in the main house accommodation
Nothing
The fact I could have my 2 dogs in the room with me was the best part of the place. The room was very spacious with TV and sitting area. Hot water in the shower was good. Tiny hole in the wall kitchenette with a small fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, crockery and cutlery. There was a little balcony area with a table and two chairs. Bed was adequately comfortable. The air conditioning unit was good but a bit noisy.
Very tired room, particularly the bathroom. No cold water from the bathroom basin taps and no other sink. Very bad pillows. Very uncomfortable chairs in the sitting area.
Weirdly character
Very strange place
You really must go and look at the incredible amount of work they have done on the outside and inside the buildings. I was struck with the detail on the ceilings. The food is very good and reasonable.
