Friendly staff. Easy parking on its private lot. Not on main business street but close to it and the beach.

Although only a two star rated hotel, and because of this only requesting a 50c. per night accommodation tax, the Sofia has a big plus in that guests have access to a swimming pool and snackbar/drinks bar area which is part of the Sofia apartments unit just down the road. As the hotel is family - run, the lady on reception also cooks breakfast, offering a good range of continental -style foods and also freshly cooked eggs, which can either be eaten in the dining room or in a cool open-air central courtyard. My balcony, although small, overlooked the pool area and the room had a very smart green-tiled bathroom. The hotel is very central in Plakias and easy to find : there is a good supermarket opposite.

Bait and switch. As I arrived they told me they were taking me to their "family hotel" which was a few blocks away and the room was not even a 1 star level. Water was cold- freezing cold. And the hotel owners were not even apologetic nor did they admit that they oversold heir hotel.

Room was small but clean and comfortable.

The Sofia Hotel underwent a major refurbishment in 2009. The Hotel is beautifully decorated with appropriately styled artistic adornments.

Lite familiedrevet hotel med hyggelige eiere og personal. Et sted hvor en føler seg velkommen. Hele hotellet/rom var rent og vedlikeholdt. Bra service og bra frokost. Absolut et hotel som kan anbefales. Kommer gjerne tilbake på et senere tidspunkt.

Hade per mejl meddelat hotellet att rum med sjöutsikt förväntades. Då vi inte fick något svar förutsåg jag detta. Stor besvikelse då rummet saknade sjöutsikt. Hotellet påstod att de inte fått mejlet!

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel per 3 notti, lo staff è stato molto disponibile e l'hotel davvero comodo, pulito e accogliente. Ottima anche la colazione, con ampia scelta. Buonissimo rapporto qualità prezzo (prezzo più basso della media e la colazione è inclusa).
Molto buona anche la posizione dell'albergo, semplice da raggiungere e vicino a tutti i servizi (ristoranti, supermercati, spiaggia, poste, ecc...).
