A budget hotel
Pros:

The staff were accommodating although I would have appreciated more of their help and guidance in using the kitchen. I enjoyed the cable TV service which showed good films and had CNN. On the negative side the water for the shower was only cold-lukewarm (although this was not such a problem given the outside temperatures) and there seemed to be a problem with flushing of the toilet. At the time of writing the outdoor area was being reconstructed (February 2013). But this wasn't a problem in terms of noise.
