Immaculate hotel, fantastic location, hidden gem
Pros:

We stayed in Crowne Plaza Amsterdam as a family of 4 and it was perfect!

The staff were very amazing and nothing was too much trouble.

We realised ahead of our stay that we needed to reconfigure the rooms so we phoned and spoke to Antonette Bos and it was changed without question. There was no call waiting time, we got straight through to the hotel. Thank you Antonette.

The rooms were immaculate, spacious with a fridge, water and plenty of storage spaces and opening windows. The air conditioning/heating was really ease to use.

During the night my son wanted some iced water (he was feeling a bit under the weather), a staff member (Shalom) who was carrying out housekeeping during the night stopped and went to the bar and brought us up some ice and water.

Location is amazing, a short walk from Zuid Tram Stop which takes you straight into the city centre. The Zuid Tram Stop also serves the airport (6 mins travel!).

There are some lovely parks within walking distance and Crowne Plaza offers competitive bike hire through the hotel.

A Hotel perfect for business stay or nearby neighborhood
Pros:

Very convenient location, quite close to the train statin, many restaurants around, the supermarket AH is nearby ( a small one near the train station and a big one in the neighborhood),

There is a big terrace in front of reception. Clear room, nice staff.

Comfy big rooms 7 min walking from Zuid Station
Pros:

A good option if you need to stay close by the Amsterdam Zuid Station. The rooms are big and well / recently equiped, well sound-proofed. The hotel is very calm. A little outdoor area by the canal (don't expect a cute view though as the area is mostly a business district).

Cons:

At my arrival, the receptionist was giving me a bit of a cheeky attitude, but I couldn't tell if it was the Dutch's famous straightforwardness, so I don't want to judge too quickly, haha. We had a fire evacuation, and no one from the staff came out to tell us what was happening...

Hatten insgesamt einen schönen Aufenthalt.
Pros:

Personal an der Rezeption war freundlich.
Zimmer war geräumig, schönes Bad. Schöne Gegend. Nah zur Metro und nur wenige Stationen von den Innenstadt entfernt.

Cons:

Wir wollten einmal während unseres Aufenthalts das Hotelzimmer reinigen lassen. Der Mitarbeiter wirkte auf dem Flur schon lustlos (war nur am Handy). Hat dann unsere benutzten Gläser und Tassen nicht ausgetauscht, sondern einfach umgedreht und wieder auf den Schreibtisch gestellt und seinen Putzlappen bei uns im Zimmer liegen lassen. Haben dann an der Rezeption neue Gläser bestellt (und bekommen).

Everything But Breakfast was Good
Pros:

Location. Not central near enough to Zuid
Room are super clean and spotless and lovely and spotless.
The bed was great and the Sleep quality is awesome. One of the best I had in IHG hotel
Staff in front desk extremely helpful and reasonably friendly

What is frustrating is breakfast for a multiple of reasons. I had it included in my room as part of status. On Saturday morning you could just walk in and have breakfast. There was people that did not have breakfast included in their room just walking in and eating As I over heard a or two It’s not fair on the people that pay.

Fruit selection is really bad. Just a box of apples

Hint - next time don’t pay for breakfast

Ok for Business trip
Pros:

We chose this hotel because it was close to the office but it’s very far away from the city center. Still convenient with the direct train from the airport - 5 euros and 10 minutes.

Cons:

Expensive for what you get. Breakfast was not good.
