friendly welcoming good service

I've stayed in the Highfield Hotel many times and attended funtions there. I had a lovely room on the ground floor and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming. If I had been staying more than one night I would have asked for a heater for my room.
I was surprised by the chill in the room and managed to close the windows. It was only much later I noticed the radiator wasn't working and I woke in the night feeling very cold. In the morning I propped the door open with a chair, so some of the heat from the hallway heated my room. I reported the broken radiator to the receptionist.
Big Room, with Twin Beds pushed together, even though I was a single guest. Room/Linen all Clean, Tea/Coffee @ hand. Bed very comfortable, with extra Sheets & Pillows available if required. Good selection of Breakfast on the Menu, the Food well cooked & Hot when served to Table.
I could not really fault the Hotel/Staff & Food in anyway. The Hotel did get busy, due to an Easter function being organized by the Hotel Staff for local Children & Parents, the function was well Managed.
Very clean, comfortable quiet room
Nothing
The room was huge (much bigger than expected) and was well decorated - modern but tasteful. There was a king sized and a single beds, as well as a wardrobe, desk and bedside cabinets. The room was fully equipped with 3 extra pillows, an iron and ironing board and a hairdryer withouth even needing to request these. There was lots of free parking available, too.
There were not many towels for three people, which was fine for us for one night but if we had been staying longer and all needed showers we may have struggled. The bathroom light was also incredibly bright and the door directly opposite the kingsized bed, so when our daughter went to the toilet in the night, the light woke us up.
Smoking area is right outside of the front door our table inside was located next to the front door and all we could smell during our visit is smoke!
Location is perfect for us, we stay here regularly. It’s a lovely building.parking is included in the cost.

Lovely stay. Was worried when I seen pets do stay but couldn’t smell a hint of dog! Clean room. Ideal for food. Parking was ample.
The room was very clean and cozy. The location is quiet and there is a big parking space.
Breakfast was a bit limmiting for me, but coffee was yummy and it has done its job.

It just the right to stay for the speedway. Hotel was very good and value for money. The breakfast was good. And the meal was good in the bar.

Was up on the 2nd floor which was s struggle on my own through fire doors with my bags. Couldn't connect to wifi. Staff tried to help.
