I had a wonderful day at Jing Chang Garden Hotel in Beijing. The traditional courtyard setting is beautiful and full of charm offering a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. The staff were friendly and tentative. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions. This charming courtyard hotel tucked in a quiet hutong is a true gem. From the moment we stepped through the traditional wooden doors, we were swept away by its old-world charm—red-painted beams, potted greenery, and the gentle hum of life in the alley outside made every moment feel like stepping back in time.
Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed, blending modern comfort with classic details like lattice windows and handcrafted furnishings. The bed was plush, and the bathroom felt brand-new, toiletries that smelled wonderful.
The staff were absolutely exceptional—warm, attentive, and always ready to help with directions, restaurant tips, or even booking tickets. They made us feel like family from day one.
Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: a short walk to Jingshan Park and Nanluoguxiang, and just a quick ride to the Forbidden City. Perfect for exploring the city while staying in a peaceful, authentic spot. We can’t wait to come back!

Het hotel ligt in één van de hutongs, die volop in renovatie zijn. Er worden art gallery's geopend, zelfs een Michelin-sterrenrestaurant, hippe bars enz...De kamers hebben alle comfort. Ik wou wel vermelden dat op mijn laatste avond daar, ik was er laat toe gekomen na een dag afwezigheid, er blijkbaar een overboeking was. De manager, een symphatieke dame, plaatste mij toen in één van de bijgebouwen, die zo te zien niet in gebruik zijn voor hotelgasten. Ik zou het toch maar doen moest ik haar zijn, de kamers zijn gewoonweg top! Dank aan het attente personeel.
