Hotel Polikandia

The Polikandia Hotel is an absolute gem.
The property itself is kept in immaculate condition, and there is a genuine dedication to excellence in hospitality in every sense of the word. Gorgeous bougainvilleas surround the pool and create the most gorgeous setting.
Location wise, the hotel is perfectly situated right at the entrance to Chora, with all the lovely taverns, shops and bars. These are all literally steps away.
It is also ideally located for the walk up to the church with the most majestic sunset views (yes, better than anywhere else in the Cyclades and I have been to many!).
The rooms of the hotel are comfortable, clean and well maintained.
I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for an unforgettable stay on the beautiful island of Folegandros.

The hotel property and staff were amazing. The pool and landscaping are even better than the pictures. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had something for everyone. The room was clean and spacious. Every day had a different gift waiting. Free shuttle service was waiting for us on arrival and timely when departing. The location is a convenient walk to everything in town. All made for a perfect stay!

Pretty hotel in perfect location - you can get dropped off by car, but right on the edge of the pedestrian-only center, making it very convenient. Very clean, everything in excellent condition. Traditional Greek decor. Very helpful and welcoming staff. The room has all the conveniences.
You will not regret staying at the Polikandia. This is my first time here, and I will book it again next time.

Hotel molto curato, pulito e a condizione familiare. Bellissima struttura, ti fanno sentire a casa! Raccomandato sicuramente! L'accoglienza è molto cordiale, personale gentilissimo e sempre a disposizione. Infine la posizione: centralissima nella Chora!

Magnifique séjour dans cet hôtel. Les chambres sont confortables et d’une propreté irréprochable. La piscine est un vraie atout ainsi que la localisation aux portes de chora et proche du port. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel vous y passerez un merveilleux moment !

Wonderful hotel with a perfect location!! Close to everything you need. The pool is very nice, and everything is very clean. Pick-up in the port went smooth. The nicest hotelstaff you’ll meet:) they took really good care of us!!
We stayed in room 10 and it had a cute balcony with a great view. We will definitely come back.

This hotel is truely a wonderful place, the staff especially Dimitris were extremely helpful, going above and beyond to make sure your experience at the hotel is as relaxing and comfortable as possible. I decided to come to Folegandros alone, although I was nervous I could not be more grateful and appreciative of the hospitality I received.


Complimentary pick up and drop off to the port is also organised by the hotel. Overall, the hotel is in very close proximity (walking distance) to all facilities including restaurants, shops, bus stop and car rental companies.

Beautiful and peaceful setting. Loved sitting at the pool. So close to all the restaurants. Rooms are simple but quiet and comfortable. We slept well! Loved the special omelette at the breakfast place around the corner.

Polikandia var lugnt, välkomnande och familjärt. Här känner man sig hemma! Hotellet är rent och erbjuder både poolhanddukar och strandhanddukar. Det är ett familjehotell och alla detaljer sitter. Affärer och restauranger ligger nära och ett lugn infinner sig när man semesterar på detta hotell och på Folegandros.

From beginning to end the staff at the hotel couldn’t be more helpful, from the free transfer from the boat and back to the excellent breakfast and the flexible checkout times, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself was of highest quality and located very conveniently next to the centre of the old town. If you’re coming to Folegandros you should seriously consider staying at this wonderful place.

Good location and friendly accompdation

My stay at Hotel Polikandia was nothing short of amazing, a cute pool area and a room with a balcony view of the Church of Panagia. There was free port transfer that was easy, and walkable distance to the bus stop to travel to other beaches. The dining options are very close by and walkable, as well as the walk to the Church of Panagia. The staff were extremely friendly and sweet. I would go back in a heartbeat - they even gave me honey to take home! Thanks for making my visit to Folegandros a great birthday trip.

Our stay was so relaxing. Staff was attentive and kind. Our room and the property was kept very clean. The vegetation on the property was gorgeous and the pool was immaculate and sooo refreshing with plenty of lounge chairs. I would definitely return for another stay. ❤️
