Neptune Pwani Beach Resort & Spa Zanzibar

During our second stay at Neptune Pwani Beach Resort, we were welcomed by the same staff as two years ago, who gave us a warm welcome, as if we were family.
Everything was perfect. The room was cleaned every day and had a beautiful balcony and very comfortable bedding. As for the food, the buffet restaurant offered a variety of high-quality dishes every day.

On the beach, the staff was on hand to set up our lounge chairs as soon as we arrived, and there were enough for everyone, as well as exceptional beach service.
The hotel staff were very attentive, and in a completely natural way. Zanzibar is the most welcoming region in Africa.
A big thank you to all the staff, we will be happy to return.

We came year to celebrate the new year it was really nice and the beach was beautiful.The food and restaurant was so nice. I would like to highlight Allen as a very good man since we’ve been here he’s so friendly and good cocktail maker and has a good smile. Neptune we will be back again

We have recently came back from Neptune after fantastic 14 nights.
Leaving this place was truly heartbreaking.
Resort is lovely and very well maintained place.
Rooms and Public Area very clean and well looked after. Food great. Staff amazing.
All brilliance goes to them.
They made us feel at home. They made us feel at ease. They made us feel comfortable and welcomed.

We had an excellent time at Neptune and would absolutely recommend this resort to everyone.

The Hotel is located in the north East. Rooms are nice and big but really sensitive to sounds from outside. The whole Staff is amazing. 6 Stars if possible for them all. From Housekeeping, Gardening, Waiters etc. They are more than friendly and absolutely great. Allen is Doing a great Job at the bar, also James is amazing like all the staff we were luckily able to meet. Food is really good and changes almost every day. The whole Area is nice and green and in a good shape. We really enjoyed the Yogalessons in the morning.

But...

The Gym is horrible. You have Some Cardio Machines one Bench some Dumbells and a Multimachine. There are no Labels for the weights at the dumbells. The Multimachine or Tower is in such a bad shape, that it is absoluty useless. The towels smell really bad and old. It's more an empty room with some old useless fitness equipment than a gym.

The spa looks really nice and we had a good Thai Massage. But it is quite expensive and you can only use the spa, when you book a massage. Otherwise you have to pay 10Dollar per hour. We weren't able to use the steam room or saune, because they weren't turned on. So you pay 10 Dollar per Hour for a pool. Also the activities offered by the hotel are quite expensive if you see the local prices and the salary of the local people.

The biggest problem is not a fault of the hotel but affected our stay a lot. As soon as you leave the hotel area and go to the beach or in the ocean you're surrounded by people that want to sell you something. From activities to souvenirs etc. And they don't accept a No or that you want some privacy. It's impossible to go for a swim or a walk. We felt caged in the hotel because of that situation.

It was a nice stay and we are more than thankful for the nice service of the staff. But we won't recommend it at all.

i enjoyed de service from the poolbar and the restaurants, they are very nice and Allen is the best barman. they are very nice and smiling all day.

Despite our short stay, everything was perfect, like something out of a fairytale. From the welcome to the farewell dinner. The service was top-notch, the food delicious, the rooms clean, and the views unforgettable. We'll be visiting this resort again next year for a longer stay.

Paradise for sure - beach front all inclusive resort - our second time to visit this jewel of a resort.
We actually had a terrible experience at Maharaja Beach - where we were booked for 3 nights but after 1 night of terrible stay we booked Neptune and moved and the best decision we made. From breath taking views, lovely and very helpful and friendly staff to amazing food - so much to choose from, being vegetarian we had so much choice for breakfast to lunch and dinner - the rooms were very clean - we also got an upgrade to sea view which we are very thankful for :) as that made our stay even more special as my husband was celebration his Birthday while we were out there. They also surprised him with a cake and the lovely staff who made the evening very entertaining.
Neptune is a big resort so you have lots of space and spots to choose where you can lie and enjoy the warm sun and amazing views- we had fresh coconut water daily & enjoyed all our meals.
All staff were friendly and helpful from the reception to the dinning and all ground staff welcomed us with a smile at all times, the rooms were cleaned daily and we also had a turn-down service where they made our bed and sprayed our room so we could have a sound sleep, we felt we were really taken care of and did not wanna leave ever ..lol
The Manager Narender was really good he made sure he asked us if we needed anything else and if we were comfortable at all times, felt very personal and special considering it is a huge property.
We also experienced the Spa - although i would say they could do better - I personally did not enjoy the massage - could have been better.
But apart from that our stay was amazing and we will surely visit again :)
Highly recommended for families, couples and solo travel too as they had many onsite activities to enjoy.

This hotel is truly beautiful and perfect for relaxing. The pools, the food, the sea, and the drinks are all delicious. The staff at the hotel are genuinely kind-hearted people. Especial Allen who gave us nice Cocktails for my wife and me, Ali from the reception and the team at the lunch buffet such as Zephania, all deserve great praise. You can have a lot of fun with the staff here – they are all very motivated and always helpful. The employees make an excellent impression of this hotel in Zanzibar. We are more than satisfied and very grateful for a wonderful 9 days. Thank you, Neptune, for our amazing honeymoon.

It was a perfect Trip! The Hotel, the room, the buffet everything! Especially Allan, he works at the poolbar and in the evening at the dinner!!! Very friendly! Hakuna matata! We come back again!!!

WoW... thats what I have to say about Neptune Pwani. Yes the food is great, the beach beautiful, rooms are spacious and clean, pool relaxing and immaculately kept but what tops its all and the reason we will be back is the Staff.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a Jambo Jambo from smiling, happy staff who genuinely want you to enjoy every part of your stay. A special shout out to Rajabu in the Thai restaurant who kept us laughing all through dinner, to Martha who made our beach dinners so memorable and the gentleman (am so sorry I have forgotten your name) who worked every day in the Italian restaurant who bought our morning cappuccino by the pool without fail. Thank you all so much for a fabulous stay and we will be back.

We spectacle a magical expérience at the swimming pool and the barman ,Allen was very pleasent with us ,top!

It was the Variation with full of joy. The hotel is fascinating all corners rooms were spotless dalicious food from indian and Italien Restaurant all in all Allen was our Favourite barman with his lovely cocktails unique smile and amiable

We had an excellent stay at Neptune Pwani in September. It’s a beautiful hotel. Very clean and well kept sitting right on a beautiful beach. The rooms are large with spacious balconies. Some are built on a hillside with quite a few steps up to them but there is a courtesy vehicle that can run you up the hill if mobility is an issue. The gardens are well kept and tidy.

The restaurants are excellent with a wide choice of food and themed nights in the buffet restaurant. There are live cooking stations and a fresh pasta station making your choice of dish to order. This is in addition to a huge salad bar and a wide choice of buffet dishes. The homemade bread particularly the stuffed focaccia is amazing! We tried all the à la carte restaurants and all were good but our favourite by far was the Namaste Indian. It was so good! The afternoon snack bar offered freshly made snack of the day plus there were sandwiches, fruit, pastries, samosas, spring rolls etc - all very tasty.

The bars were well staffed and drink menu plentiful. We only tried the evening bar cart on our last night and the cocktails were really enjoyable.

Swimming pools were never too crowded and although the loungers next to the main pool were snapped up quickly there were always plenty of loungers on the beach. There is bar service on the beach and the bar waiters look after you really well ensuring your drinks are always topped up.

Every member of staff we encountered were polite and friendly and went out of their way to make sure you are well looked after and happy on your holiday. They are a real credit to the hotel ⭐️

We did not use the hotel spa as we felt it was a bit pricey but we walked along the beach to the right of the hotel a few minutes and used Joan who has a small shop and massage service in her beach hut. We went twice as a couple and had an absolutely wonderful full body massage for $20 each by the lovely Joan and her colleague. Highly recommended and so much more affordable than the $70 the hotel charges.

The beach is absolutely stunning and the hotel run a daily free beach walk when the tide is out to see sea urchins, starfish, sea cucumber etc. Very interesting and informative .

We did a few trips through Soloman who we found on Facebook. Sea safari, snorkelling, Stone town, sunset cruise, Swahili cooking lessons etc. All very good and cheaper than the Tui trips.

Zanzibar is a poor country but the locals are extremely welcoming and friendly. The beaches and sea are like paradise and we had such a wonderful time. Would highly recommend the Neptune Pwani if you are lucky enough to visit this wonderful country.
