Two very steep flights of stairs ! Older travellers need to be made aware of stairs issues !

Can’t beat the location for convenience and easy walk to scenic river walkway and friendly helpful staff.
Pros:

Great location close to stores, restaurants,pubs, and close to scenic Shannon River walk that is a short walk to the town. Managers staff and owner went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and liked having shelves in closet and luggage rack.

Cons:

No chair or table but that was made clear from description of the room so not expected.

Tolles B&B in ruhiger und doch zentraler Lge.
Pros:

Sehr nettes, freundliches und hilfsbereiten Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück, kostenloser Parkplatz. Kurzer Weg zur Innenstadt. Guter Tipp für Irlands ältesten Pub, der Abrnd dort war toll.

Pros:

We liked everything about these apartments, they were very clean, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the location was so central. We will most definitely go back and we would have no hesitation to recommend them to anyone travelling to Athlone.

Accommodates a family
Pros:

The cost of the apartments is very reasonable and accommodates a whole family. The location was pretty good.

Cons:

The walk from the main office to the apartments was long when carrying luggage. There was also a steep flight of stairs to get to the apartments. While there was laundry in the units, it was a small washer/dryer combo unit that took several hours to complete one load.

The Arch House is a great stay in a great location!
Pros:

The Arch House is in a perfect location within Athlone! The room was comfortable, excellent shower, and a great breakfast that included both hot (full Irish breakfast) and cold options!
